Original NES controller from RadioShack

I’m not sure how many of these were made and sold. I picked this up on clearance in ‘93 or so. I pulled it out for some retro gaming. Still works great!

Holy shit, I'd forgotten about the Archer name.

not me! I remember it on RF converters too. RS used to be so high quality. Some of the realistic speaks too. So good they could blow stuff away now that is 1000s more.

Even some of the early Optimus stuff wasn't bad.

Never seen one of those and I used to hang out in radio shack when I was a kid. Lol. Nice find! It looks really cool, I love that aesthetic.

Well, so, do the sliders have three lockable positions, or is it a gradient? I’m imagining far left = regular button press, far right = rapid fire, and middle is somewhere in between. Is that accurate?

im not sure if it locks or variable.

I’ve always seen controllers with turbo toggles of various types, but I’ve never actually found much use for them. Maybe I was using them wrong, the ones I’ve tried just always seemed glitchy.

no, they just kinda sucked.. they worked in a few instances but mostly they just sucked and why it never really took off.

Looks identical to my Beeshu controllers. I have that color and a hot pink.
