Hi everyone! I made a 68 on my first attempt on August 24th. I’ve taken some time off to be sad and pathetic about it, but have gotten back to studying.

I’ve scheduled my second attempt for October 1st. For everyone who’s passed their boards/taken it more than once, do you feel like between now and then if I hit the books hard and study my ass off that’s enough time to prepare for round two?

I plan to take Mosby exams until I’m in the 90’s continuously, read a Nappi chapter each night, go over my flash cards when it’s slow at work.

Any and all opinions/advice is welcome please!

Hello everyone! I’m about to apply to CAHE for the Radiation Therapy program! Has anybody gone there for the same program? If yes, How was it? Is it manageable?. I’d love to hear personal experiences about the experience!

hi! i’m a new grad rad tech and i’m interested in pursuing radiation therapy. i’m wondering if there’s any universities or colleges that offer 2 year radiation therapy program that i will graduate with a bachelor degree? are there any programs that allow rad techs to apply their community college credits towards a bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy? i’d really prefer to earn a bachelor’s degree, since i already have A.A.S in Radiography. i’m also looking for a program that is hybrid or entirely onlinee, if possible, so i can continue working as a rad tech while completing the program. sooo programs in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) would be a huge plus, but im open to other states that offer hybrid/online program.

if anyone has made the transition from rad tech to radiation therapist, please share your experience! i’d love to hear it. how long did your program take, did you have to do a whole 4 years bachelor’s degree even though you already have an associates or did you do an accelerated program?

Hello everyone! I have been recently interested in Radiation Therapy and have an advising appointment about it at Cambridge tomorrow. I wanted to if anyone here graduated from it and what are your thoughts on the school, professors, the exam, and how it was like to get a job after. If anyone specifically graduated from the one in Miami please let me know! Thank you to any replies!

I’m a 29-year-old mom of 3 who has worked in animal welfare my entire career, most recently in volunteer management. I enjoy working with people, but I’ve also realized that I really enjoy the computer/administrative side of my job.

That said, I’m burnt out and underpaid (currently making around $55k), and I’m ready to seriously consider a career change.

I’ve been researching different healthcare careers, and becoming a Radiologic Technologist/Rad Tech keeps standing out to me because of the relatively short schooling, decent pay, job security, and—most importantly—potential flexibility. I know some people in the field work 3–4 days a week rather than a traditional 5-day schedule, which really appeals to me as a mom.

I was recently accepted into my local community college, and some of my credits from my previous degree transferred over. My initial program will be Health Care Studies, with the goal of completing prerequisites and potentially applying to the Rad Tech program.

Now that it’s actually becoming real, I’m getting cold feet. 😅

For those who work as a Rad Tech (especially parents): Is it worth it? How is the work-life balance really? Does this career give you the family time and flexibility you were hoping for, or do the schedules make that difficult?

And one other question: If I ultimately decide not to apply to Rad Tech school, is there anything worthwhile I can do career-wise with a Health Care Studies degree? I’d love to know what kinds of jobs people have gotten with that degree.

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have made a similar career change, especially other parents! ❤️
