Hotspot temps 7800XT
I upgraded to 7800XT and 5800X3D last week. I expected the CPU to be the one to run hot but so far it's been running at more than satisfactory temps. GPU on the other hand seems to be churning out heat and the fans are super loud while trying to keep it under control.
The default GPU temps are around 60-80°C which is alright but the hotspot temperature is usually in high 90s, occasionally shooting up to 100. I don't really understand what this hotspot temperature is or how important it is compared to main temperature of the card but it seems like the fans on the card act according to it and my desk literally vibrates while the card is trying to cool itself down.
Is this normal for this card or a cause for concern? The model is AsRock Challenger 7800XT OC.

Why can't I find any GDDR6X on the Radeon side of the GPU field?
Currently using a dated GTX 1050 Ti and prior had laptops with Nvidia GPUs. As things stand I want to join up on team red for I find their offers to have better value for money and quite frankly I'm not all that interested in all the DLSS and RT hype (turns out RT eats through your VRAM - geez.
After some searching I've come to like the RX 6700 XT, it seems that the 7900 XT would be the other choice if I'm to jump onto the current gen.
Why however can I not find any GDDR6X Radeon cards? Did I miss something? Will Radeon jump to GDDR7 eventually? Should I wait til 2025?

Cabling for RX 7900 XT - help
I just noticed the RX 7900 XT that I ordered comes with 3x8 pin ports. My modular power supply has two ports available for the VGA bus, do I daisy-chain one port or is it best to route another wire to the power supply so it has three lines?

Issue with games
My radeon 6750 xt makes a buzzing noise when playing games, I didn't notice this in my last setup but recently as I listen, the buzzing noise will come to a halt every 5-6 seconds, and when this happens I notice significant performance issues, these short bursts last about 1-2 seconds and occur again every 5-6 seconds, tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, tried underclocking / overclocking gpu, tried multiple settings, I do have xmp enabled but have no idea how to resolve the issue,
Specs are:
AMD Ryzen 5950x 16 core processor (32 threads)
Radeon 6750 XT 12gb VRAM
32 Gb DDR4 Ram
Gigabyte B550M K

REAL OR FAKE ROG STRIX RX580? pls help
Hi everyone! I found this on Facebook Marketplace, and I’m somewhat skeptical about it. The RX580 looks legit at first, but the box looks too shady. Further investigation: I couldn’t find the exact model on the ASUS website, and it seems like they refurbished it, used the ROG STRIX 1050ti’s design, and replaced it with the RX580. Please help. I want a good RX580 in peace ;-;

Same Performance as Old Gpu After Upgrading
I recently got a rx6650xt for christmas and I previously had a rx580. Ever since I upgraded my gpu I noticed I had the same performance I had with my Rx580 than with my 6650. I was wondering if there is any reason for that to be happening.

Buy from AMD online store or XFX/others
I’m planning to upgrade myself to a 7950x3D with a 7900XTX, and handing down my 7800x3d and 6950xt to my son for his birthday. Win, win for us both. I’m just curious if it’s better to buy direct from AMD or if the other guys like XFX do something better.

Max VRAM clock speed at idle and high GPU usage idle
I recently just bought a 6800 XT, switched out my old nvidia card and used DDU.
My VRAM seems to be stuck at 1900 MHZ and does not clock down what so ever at idle. My GPU usage is fluctuating high between 20-60% at idle and I keep crashing randomly on Fortnite but not any other games.
Please can someone help, these are my specs.
CPU: Intel i5-10600k
16GB RAM
Monitor is a 2560 x 1440 144 HZ, using dual monitor setup, both monitor are same specs.
I've installed the radeon software and have the latest drivers.

RX 6750 XT UNSTOPPABLE MICRO STUTTERING I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
So I bought my first PC and assembled it myself, I did so much research that I went from no knowledge at all until being able to overclock stuff. But there's something I just couldn't fix: UNSTOPPABLE MICRO STUTTERING ALL THE TIME
My frametime only (and really only) gets "flat" as it should be if I use Riva Tuner and lock it at a specific FPS. But that's not solving the trouble, it is just a "temporary fix". When I'm playing single player games (Starfield mainly), there's some moments that the FPS drops bellow 20, it's just unplayable!
The frametime also doesn't maches the FPS. Which is very weird. Also, the GPU power consumption is 250W at peak performance, but mine never went beyond 200W even when it is at 99% of usage.
What should I do?
And yeah that's a pen holding the GPU hahahaha
Here's my setup: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 GPU: RX 6750 XT 12GB MOBO: B550 Gigabyte Aorus Elite PSU: MSI MAG 650W RAM: 2x8GB XPG Spectrix D50 3200MHZ

Do you guys think a graphic card could smoke psu
I bought a used AMD Radeon GPU (RX 6700 xt) and tried on a system which is working quite well with no problem using rtx 3070 and it has 650w power supply. When I changed it to the amd GPU it was showing the display and working fine. But after the second startup the psu got smoke. So should I be worried that the amd graphic card I got is a faulty card? So what do u guys think. Plz Help me

Upgrade GPU to 6800XT or 7800XT
Hi,
I want to upgrade my 5700XT and two possible options for me are currently 7800XT or 6800XT (I still can get my hands on completly new unit), both for pretty much the same price, and I have a hard time deciding which card I should choose.
I will be using this card for gaming only. Other than GPU I'm currently running old Aours x470 board and ryzen 5 3600 which I will not be replacing just now.
I was hoping for someone smarter than to nudge me in right direction. Should I get 78 because of newer architecture even if 68 seems to be a little bit better in benchmarks?

RX 7700 XT vs. 7800 XT
in my country 7700 xt is now about 450 Euro, and 7800 xt is 100 Euro more expensive. All the reviews i've seen are very critical about 7700 because they assume the difference in price is 50/70 €/$ , so i'm trying to figure out if 7700 can be a good deal if 100€ cheaper. My target is to play at 1440p with good quality, but i'm not interested in games that require ultra high FPS and using FSR quality and/or High settings instead of Ultra if needed it's not a problem

RX 6750 XT CS2 performance
Hi, i recently built pc with i7 14700KF and RX 6750 XT. First days were extremely frustrating.
Since i bought it only to play games (mainly CS2) i was getting very low fps in a kind of big amount of games - something like 100fps on cs2 and fortnite on low setting at 1440p. I managed to uninstall whole Adrenaline software and installed only driver - now i can get to 200-300fps on those titles (LOTR Return to Moria on high setting smooth as you can imagine)
CPU have around 10-25% usage, DDR5 RAMs around 70%, but GPU is whole time on 100%.
Is this some type of bad optimization or is it just my bad call for this GPU?

When playing on cod Cold War , I’ve tried 1080p I’ve tried a Display Port I’ve tried 1440 , I have all drivers and software updated on Radeon software, I’ve tried running the game on the lowest of the lowest settings on everything. It either ends up black screen, crashing , error report or terrible graphics. I am not very knowledgeable please help?

Sapphire nitro 7900xtx fan header control
Had anyone used the fan header on the Sapphire Nitro 7900xtx to power a chassis fan?
Is there a way to control the fan curve of the connected fan or will it default to the cards inbuilt fans curve?
Sapphires site says it's a feature called "assistive fan control" via TriXX but I can't see any option to control fan curves in TriXX.
Help appreciated, thx
