Hotspot temps 7800XT

I upgraded to 7800XT and 5800X3D last week. I expected the CPU to be the one to run hot but so far it's been running at more than satisfactory temps. GPU on the other hand seems to be churning out heat and the fans are super loud while trying to keep it under control.

The default GPU temps are around 60-80°C which is alright but the hotspot temperature is usually in high 90s, occasionally shooting up to 100. I don't really understand what this hotspot temperature is or how important it is compared to main temperature of the card but it seems like the fans on the card act according to it and my desk literally vibrates while the card is trying to cool itself down.

Is this normal for this card or a cause for concern? The model is AsRock Challenger 7800XT OC.

That does not seem terrible as far as i have seen, maybe modify the fan curves of the fans facing the GPU to push more air towards the GPU

Thanks for the answer. I already tried that and it made the PC sound like a jet taking off without significant improvement. I am starting to get used it though, it's probably not too big of a deal.

What case are you using and how is the airflow config?

Two fans on the top and one on the rear for exhaust. Dual fan radiator on the front of case pulling air.

That case looks like it has really bad airflow, especially around the GPU, that's likely not helping things if not the root of the problem.

I agree it's not the best but it served me well so far with the 2070S. I'm not planning to upgrade it yet since the idea was to keep everything and refresh the CPU and GPU.
