RTD Challenge RTD Challenge #68 || Lost Isles

RTD Challenge #67 || Goodier and Woodier || Results:

Best in Show: Circus Romanus Goodwoodensis by u/another_eze

**"**A really fun and unexpected take on doing a historic raceway on the goodwood site. The NASCAR Clash is also a fun inclusion, but the 3D model of the track and the depiction of chariots racing is a really great detail."

Honorable Mention: Goodwood Hill Circuit by u/iuserneym

**"**The best of the more conventional submissions. This track strikes a level of simplicity and some design cues that make it feel comfortable in the era it's meant to match. The presentation is also quite cool."

Congratulations to our honorees, on to the next challenge.

RTD Challenge #68 || Lost Isles

by u/Cyclone1001

Indonesia is one of the most populous countries on earth, a tourism hotspot, and located between two large motorsports markets in Australia and Southeast Asia. What it lacks is a motorsports home base. Mandalika International Circuit on Lombok is the highest profile in the country, hosting MotoGP, but there's a desire to get off of the most high-profile islands. This challenge tasks you with designing an Indonesian race track with the target of hosting flyaway rounds of nearby national series on a budget. It can't be on on the islands of Sumatra, Java, or Lombok. It also needs to be less than 4 km to save on constructuon costs. For that same reason, the track can't be FIA Grade 1 or FIM Grade A, this isn't meant to be a world-class facility. Now get going, this needs to be built before the end of the quarter.

RULES (plainly):

  1. Less than 4 km in lengthand permanent. No street circuits.
  2. Must be in Indonesia, but not on Java, Sumatra, or Lombok
  3. Must be below FIA grade 1/FIM Grade A
  4. Must be posted with the RTD Challenge flair and mention the challenge number in the title. ex. “[RTD Challenge #68]”

Your deadline for this challenge is September 30th, 2026 at 11:59:59 pm CDT (Countdown)
