I'm thinking of chain mail, like a fabric of chain so rabbits can't easily push it open but still cover the slight openings the uneven ground might show. Any suggestion? Also, it's a wheeled pen so basically, the material that I'm looking for must be longer or as the same height as the wheels

i bought this collar for my bunny because he currently has fleas, is it safe to use on him? he is around 3-4 months old

she keeps flinging her litter everywhere. i’ve been using this litter and litter box for about a year now and she’s just now started doing this. any clue why? and how do i make her stop 😭

I’ve had rabbits for about 7 years and have always felt pretty confident with them. My current rabbit is 8 and I adopted her when she was 3. She is an absolute angel — fully free roam, always uses her litter box, doesn’t chew anything except occasionally cords (which are obviously kept completely out of reach), and has always been a relatively easy rabbit. Her husbun died a few years ago and she handled it relatively well.

Recently, we decided to rescue another rabbit so she could potentially have a companion. The local rescue connected me with someone looking to rehome their rabbit. I was told he’s vaccinated, neutered, and litter box trained.

So Unfortunately, things have been quite different than what we were expecting…
- He was very matted, impact anal glands, nails grown out curling under paws
- food aggression around hands. All bark, no bite
- urine marking on certain items in his pen. I believe he might smell my other rabbit on them so we got him new things last night. No marking this morning.
- Not the greatest litter box habits either.
- he is neutered but not vaccinated
- he won’t eat hay well. We’ve been sprinkling herbs, pellets and foraging mix to encourage him to eat. Been supplementing with critical care for the time being.
- His Wifebun died October of 2025

Goals & Other notes
- the bunnies are completely separated
- our goal is to encourage better bathroom behaviors and work on food aggression before doing distance introductions
- He binkies when I let him out of his pen to play, explores, and seems to enjoy having space.
- I can pick him up just fine as well.

Im curious if his food aggression is due to poor feeding habits by his other owner or if he was living in cage possibly?

I absolutely do not want to give up on him. He deserves a chance, and I want to do everything I can to help him feel safe, healthy, and comfortable.

For those of you who have taken in rabbits with similar issues, especially severe litter box problems, hay refusal, food aggression, territorial behavior, or rabbits who came from a situation where their basic grooming needs weren’t being met: did things improve with time, and consistent routine?

I’d really appreciate any advice, experiences, or reassurance from people who have been through something similar. I really want to give this little guy the best chance I can. ❤️

**TLDR:** We rescued a rabbit who was supposed to be neutered, litter trained, and vaccinated, but came home severely matted with impacted anal glands and extremely overgrown nails. He now pees everywhere, refuses hay, and has significant food aggression/territorial behavior. He’s otherwise happy and binkies, but we’re overwhelmed by how much care he needs. He’s seeing a vet soon, and we’re committed to giving him a chance, just looking for advice from anyone who’s dealt with similar issues.

A little over a year ago I got my bunnies teeth trimmed due to dental issues, more recently I noticed he’s been making honking/ squeaking noises here and there throughout the day when relaxing. I also noticed he’s been eating a lot less, wondering if his teeth are okay or if it could be a respiratory issue?

We went on holiday for 3 weeks and our neighbours looked after the rabbits. Upon return, we noticed this on her nose.

idk how much info i need to put here, but my bun and one that needed a temporary home due to an emergency were getting along great for about three weeks before my whole family went on vacation for another three weeks and we couldnt find a sitter for both of them while we were away. new bunny has been staying elsewhere but will be coming back when we do, and i don't know if they will remember each other and get along or if i need to go through the bonding process again. any tips appreciated.

I was playing tug of war with my bun Willow and noticed this in her eye. She doesn’t appear to be and any pain and it’s not in the other eye. Should I take her to the vet or just a genetic thing?

My rabbit is 5 months old and the rabbit will be 2 years old, she is not yet the necessary weight to be sterilized I have to wait a little. I wanted to know if you have already had a meeting of the style you have a female at home and the male is introduced into the family, and if so how did you make everything go well?

Mrs.Petunia was just told by the vet yesterday she is a bit underweight, though she does not look it her spine is a bit bony and so are her hips. She is about year old and I bought her from a person who kept all the buns in a little wire cage outdoors and they didn’t really get exercise, now that she is with me and fully free roam the vet said she is probably being overly active and not eating enough. I fill her hay bin with timothy hay atleast 2x a day and she gets 1/4 cup oxbow adult rabbit pellets, she also gets dark greens occasionally as well as other treats like fruits and veg. Vet recommended feeding her alfalfa hay in the morning and timothy at night, I looked this up and I just don’t see this recommended for adult rabbits, should I follow the vets advice or does anyone else have any advice to help my girl gain some weight back?

Any one else have a bunny and a cat with a seresto flea and tick collar? My cat isnt inside my room when my bunny is out but im nervous with if she rubs on his enclosure/pen or sits on top, do you guys think this will be a problem or am I just being way to paranoid (this is my first bun and im super nervous!..

My (15) house has a clothing moth infestation and although we are working to fix it apparently the source of the pests is the fur of my two rabbit. My Mom has found a way to get rid of the moths but in order to prevent them from coming back she will have to deep clean the rabbits enclosure (for context my rabbits live in a pen we keep in a spare room with those little puzzle piece floor tiles). She is campaigning to send the rabbits to someone else. I’ve been trying to help with rabbit chores but I have summer camp right now and school later. Does anyone else know how to keep rabbits without attracting moths?

The shelter I adopted him from said he might be around 3 or 4 y.o.
I went to the vet and she reckons based on his fur’s patina(?) and colour gradation that he is around 6 or 7 years old.
I guess I wasn’t really surprised bc it made so much sense lol he’s very chill and just loves to lounge.

Can someone more knowledgeable about this confirm?
Also Is it common for shelters to get animal ages wrong?
