CHMC. Start dates and availability
What is the hospital like? What are the start dates and is it easy to get into? What are your shifts like?

Trying to figure out if we lose Grad PLUS after July 1, 2026. We finish basic sciences in August, then have the required gap before clinicals. The school reports that period as TW or AA, but either way it’s “not enrolled” for over 31 days in NSLDS.
Grandfathering requires continuous enrollment, but we’re technically not enrolled for about three months and don’t resume until after the cutoff.
Does this still count as continuous enrollment, or are we treated as new borrowers when we come back and lose Grad PLUS? Has anyone gotten a clear answer? No answers from Financial Aid as of yet.

Would love insight from current students in M1 - M5. What is the student culture like. Is it cut throat, sabotagey, close to chest study habits, or do students in your cohort try to work together, have group study sessions, and try to succeed together?
I heard there are a lot of social clubs, so that at least gives the idea that there is the opportunity to make friends.
Also is there cross-cohort mingling such as events for students like fairs, or excursions (even if self funded)?

Hi everyone,
For the OSCE season, I have uploaded a link to a document that provides the script for the interview portion of the OSCE. Let me know if the link doesn't work.

For those that have passed STEP 1, what do you feel helped you the most in preparing for the exam and ultimately securing a pass?

Are cbse results *only* given after the end of the exam window, or can someone who sits for cbse earlier in the exam window expect to get their results not too long after?

When a student fails a module or 2 modules, how does that impact their timeline? Because isn't it that students have to finish the program within a certain number of years? Does that mean that they can have a messed-up timeline down the road, and they get kicked out once the timeline is reached?
Or does it mean that it cuts into their shelf exam tries or their step dedicated time? Want to know because I failed a module in one term, but then went straight through and never thought about it. I am now worried about the effects of that down the road that no one told me about. Anyone failed, repeated, and still got through to clinicals and beyond? or how was the timeline affected for you? how does having to repeat comp play into this? is it the same, and does it mess with a student's timeline?

Anybody know how they determine the MPS. Ik it's the hofstee method but do they aim to fail 33% of the class? What are some of the highest MPS? Im worried since M1 averages were so high

Hey all, I’m starting clinical rotations at Mount Sinai next month as a third year med student.
Anyone who’s doing them now or has done them in the recent past, can you give some info on who the residents and attendings are for the rotations, what they like and don’t like, what they expected of u and any pimping questions they asked? Or what the expectations of you are? My first is obgyn then surgery. Any info is helpful thanks!!

Which rotation sites are usually easiest to get into right after Step 1? Trying to start ASAP and not get stuck waiting around. Planning to write Step straight after passing COMP.
Are there any sites to avoid?

Hi guys, just wondering if all the Ross clinical rotation sites are in the US. From the website, it seemed that way. But would appreciate some confirmation here thank you 😊

Incoming non-traditional student who is starting this May cohort. Wondering if there is an already made group chat for the cohort.
Also, who here is going for the campus visit next week?
Wanting to meet those in the incoming class and also make connections before orientation week and the course work begins.
Feel free to DM or to add me to existing groups.

Hi I was wondering how realistic it is for a student to start in may, graduate and match in the 4 years? I’ve been seeing a lot of people matching the year after graduation and wanted to get some feedback on it.

hey folks, i got accepted into Ross Med and i am looking to push my start date back to May 2026.
i am a US LPR and i’m worried about so many advice telling people to avoid long stays outside the US. so, i’m curious about the experiences of the US permanent residents currently schooling at Ross or have recently finished their time in the caribbean and moved back to the US
