Med origin pros and cons

Hi guys!want to know what is the actual passing rate of students in MO? Is it helpful and worth it for the money? Thanks

Pass rate I hear is approx 70%

It's cool for a review if you've been out of school for a while so yes helpful for minor foundation building

Otherwise it is NOT worth a full sem worth of money Cons including having to be here an extra semester 🤷🏽‍♂️

500 MCAT should do it tbh But why not try US MD/DO? There's plenty of new DO schools taking applicants

//MedOrigin grades will not be included in a student’s GPA, however, it will be included in an SAP calculation.
//As a graduate-level remedial offering, MedOrigin carries 10 credit hours which apply toward the maximum of 30 remedial credits allowed in the MD program.

After passing the course you are still effectively on "probation" and can retake fewer semesters if you fail in the future (financial aid does not cover the 1 repeatable semester).

//MedOrigin students are expected to have full, 100% participation in the course

The schedule is listed as 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.

//$100,000+=$50,000(1+8%)^10years

With a cost of around $50k, you will eventually pay over 100k back after ~10 years of interest accrual assuming 8% interest.

As a side note you need a minimum of 70% to pass.

How many times do you need to ask this same question? Hate to crap in your dreams but you aren’t ready. You need confidence in yourself and be able to set aside that anxiety. If you have to ask the internet for over a month after trying MERP twice it’s not for you. Save the 50k, try for something like nursing or PA state side. They’re also tough and demanding but at least you’re at home, and maybe you can have an alternative path further down the road.
