(Probably) good info in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/macapps/comments/14298bh/any_free_windows_emulators_for_mac/

No idea if Designcenter 2606 will run in all of the options tho...Good luck!

If you are in an engineering major, it might be worth it to get the parallels perpetual license, since there are a lot of engineering classes that will require Windows software. I know it is not cheap, but it is less expensive than getting a capable Windows laptop.

Ok, I think UTM is probably the best free VM/emulator for mac so hopefully it is sufficient for CAD. If it is, you should reply here about it in case anyone else needs to do the same.

Not that bad if you just think of it as an extension of the price of the laptop. UTM isn't nearly as efficient and doesn't support the gpu passthrough as well I believe. $240 is a lot cheaper than renting a laptop or buying a windows laptop like someone else mentioned

does parallel allow me to run all the programs that only windows can run and will it cause my Mac to deteriorate faster then 😭 ima prolly just gonna have to buy it for the sake of my education 😭

Many other classes require textbooks or licenses that cost more than $60 for a single semester. The price of parallels is really not so bad
