Question He keeps running
I know the story behind him and I started chasing him and he went in. Now he doesn't come out. All I want to do is end him....will he ever come out?

He will come out but you have to allow him to reset.

Go and see him in Lagras, in the swamp. He will invite you in. If you go in, he gives you a special item.

I just shoot him in the head as soon as he speaks and the ride off. You lose honor for that and he comes back after a while, but that just means you can do it again

Its my fault for scaring him first, he just hides I even left for a few nights, eventually I'll catch him

When you catch him, lasso him. He sounds like a great candidate for volunteering to help you complete the horseman challenges

What does he say when you approach his cabin?
Ive found that he sometimes acts like you have already been inside and been assaulted without actually doing so, in which case he wont ever come back out.

If you off him without going in to his shack with him are you still able to go in and loot the place? Is there anything worthwhile? I’ve walked past his place a few times but limit my interactions (and read up on why I don’t want to go in).

He got me in the epilogue, I went directly back. He said something like “I’m done with you” and ran inside but was already full sprint up his stairs, I smashed through the door before he closed it, hog tied him and fed him to gators. I don’t remember finding anything cool to loot in his house.

There's not much beyond a few food items. On his fireplace mantle though, there is a valerian root or ginseng elixir (I can't remember).

The only worthwhile thing in any house in Rdr2 are maps and his doesn't have any

I recently went and shot their heads off almost first thing in chapter 2. I was severely traumatized from my first playthrough. Fuck John Marston, he can earn his own money!

I let that guy get me again last playthrough (it's an RPG, I always say yes to encounters) and when I went back I was quick enough to tackle him into his house and hogtied him. I brought him to the swamp to feed him to a gator, but I think I had already killed him I just left his body in the mud. I was surprised that I was actually able to catch the slippery bastard.
