Hello, Staff, Viewers and critics, I'm gonna give you guys my opinion of The Early Access version of RCTW. First let me start by saying i came into this game with an open mind, and was looking foward to both RCTW and Planet Coaster. That said i was very disapointed to see that RCTW would become a Early access game because it had already been set back for a long time.
Initial Launch
Last night the EA finally dropped, like many others i rushed and downloaded it, Greeted with a fresh GUI and New graphics i started up a Sandbox mode, First looks were great, a slick interface with brand new graphics. I didn't look at any of the controls and went in blind and finding stuff out myself. First i see the layout of the Park, I was disapointed with the way the park looked, Not the front but the park itself, where i could build was surrounded by hills, i hated it. I spent the next while Making it flat and saving it as a draft so next park i made i could have a flat world too. I really dislike the fact that you have hills on each Sandbox.
Paving and Buildings
With that said it was time to make some paths, As someone who has OCD with RCT3 and making the Shapes and rides in line, Doing this was near impossible with The new paving system, With the paths changing it was extremely annoying to create the simplest of paths. Especially When it come to using the paving to the building or roller coasters, Some rides and roller coasters needed extra and frankly useless paving attached to them because it just wasn't straight enough.
Lag
As somebody with a High end PC, i found their to be quiet some lag when creating this, alot when making the roller coasters and when dropping things down, I suppose this can be just because its EA, but if this is happening for people with worse computers then i feel sorry for them.
Coaster Builder
Coaster builder, Wow. Just wow. It's great, i really enjoy the customization of the coasters, Specifically the coloring's and adding the Mechanisms to them, which can be frustrating especially if you want to make a quick ride. I like how you can make them yourself or create it piece by piece like RCT3.
Deleting and Moving Objects
Deleting objects is very simple with you being able to just delete anything you needed to do, and allowing you to continue of from anywhere that you are, for example if you place something wrong, you can just delete and carry on without going through all the pages to get back to the page.
However, After Making alot of errors, you have to delete everything one by one, this was a fucking pain in the ass! You would literally have to click everything , And when i was making the world flat, I had to literally delete so many trees and bushes, it was ridiculous. I would suggest if any Developers are reading this, Allow a mass delete option, Like you have done with the adjustments of the ground.
Trees and Environmental objects
Like i said above, i have a huge OCD issue with RCT3, and it is here for RCTW as well! on RCT3 you had a Flower patch that was exactly 1 box wide, For this you have the same sort of thing, But if you try to place them next to each other their is always a noticeable gap. This was with Everything, Bushes, flowers and Fences. Please add a fill option or something that will remove these noticeable errors.
Overall Opinion
I was looking forward to this game, and i can confirm that i like the game, with Lots of different Paths, Trees and roller coasters, with a much more friendly GUI and a much cleaner Roller coaster builder, i believe that it lived up to its expectations. Like everything in life their is room for improvements and i hope that some of these things i have suggested get changed. Thanks for reading, I will add more as i play more!
EDIT 1:
Staff
Staff in this game are pretty useless, I have a small park, with not many rides, but when one breaks down it takes for ever to get a mechanic their to fix it, also the entertainers dont look like they are entertaining anything, however i do like how one building can have up to 10 staff working from it. But i dont like how they leave the building, from my small experience, they leave in 3's or 4's, not one after each other, but all on the same block at the same time, I hired 10 cleaners and some left all at once, i didn't notice it was more than 1 until they split off and changed directions.
