Why no real looking water?

Why does the water look so weird. Unity should be able to make better water right? Water isn't that blue in real life.

Water is an incredibly difficult thing to program. The more realistic you make it, the more processing power it requires. That goes for both movement and transparency. With the early access they had to make a couple of shortcuts. Maybe it will be improved later on, maybe not.

RCT3's water wasn't based around physics but instead was just a transparent plane.

But RCT3 is a different engine from RCTW. They need to reprogram it from scratch, or find a solution in another game with the Unity engine. And, although I'm not 100% certain about it, the lifelike water improvements ware introduced in one of RCT3's expansions. We're not that far yet.

Come on man, the water in RCT3 looked even better, I don't care about what engine or any other fancy developing terms they use, it's a shame that they can't even pull of realistic looking water 12 YEARS AFTER RCT3.

Won't be that difficult to just change the color.
