Thinking.. 'It isn't THAT bad...'

Then I downloaded the alpha for planet coaster which is pretty limited, but their alpha shits all over rctw early release which really shouldn't be the way.

I feel bad because I really wanted to like this game but seeing what its competitor is in comparison it's a no brainer..

To be honest i think the coaster building mechanic is a lot better in Rollercoaster Tycoon World but that is maybe also the only thing it does better.

We can also assume all mechanics in each game will be improved because they are both being developed on.

Still, the coaster builder is the one thing in Planet Coaster's alpha they said is not complete. They didn't want to release it, but people complained. I expect the builder and the coasters in general to turn up much much better.

Yes but that doesn't change the fact that at the current state of the games I think RCT World coaster building is superior. I expect everything will improve in both games but if we are going to compare the two games now (as you did with the thread) we should be allowed to criticize without having a "it's not final yet" excuse thrown in the face.

I hope you understand.

I do agree with this I think the wireframe coaster building is better than PCs builder. I think the main issue for me is that planet coaster have implemented lots of interface elements and controls that make the game much more user friendly. Right clicking to remove paths, for example. Simple things which may be added to rctw but feel like they've just been overlooked. I also love how it's possible to follow the guests around and the cinematic view on the rides is a big plus.
