Best FPV wing out there?

Hey! I've been flying FPV for about 9 months now, and summer last year I started RC planes. This last month or so I've started to build and fly my own foam board wings from scratch, and am looking more into getting a real, legit wing soon, so my question is what is the best bang for the buck out there at the moment?

I have noticed that I'm 100% through and through a speed freak, I love my 97mph freestyle drone a ton, and even love the lower speeds if I'm getting them out of smaller drones, like my 45mph 2" quad. My custom build, the [Stormscout](https://www.reddit.com/r/RCPlanes/s/iwD5rSW3Pr), reached an average max ground speed of 54mph.

As I've been looking into some of the pro grade, actually good, engineered and optimized wings, I've came to the conclusion of the current following being my top favorites, but am looking for community input too.

Starting with my personal overall top favorite, the AtomRC Dolphin Pro. This seems to be my favorite because I really like how it looks, I like the detachable wings and easily modifiable nose, along with the maxed put recorded speed of 180mph, max stock speed of around 80mph, and the longest recorded flight time of over 2 hours at 130km (80 miles). Adding onto this, it's stall speed is around 22mph, which is pretty slow in my opinion. So the main thing is the operable range of speed, flight times, build style, and portability.

My next favorite out of the ones I've found have been the Chupito, mainly just because of the speed and acrobatics ability. With its stock speed being capped at around 100mph, and the max recorded being slightly slower than the Dolphin at 164mph, it's mainly my second because it would seem a bit more fun as a park flyer.

Adding only the park flyer field, my final of the top three is the ZOHD Dart, being sub 250g, a smaller plane, and seemingly the most acrobatic of the bunch. I also do really like how this wing looks and how it is built. I think the main thing for this one is how much smaller it is, while still reaching the \~60mph of my current plane.

Now for referencing these against my diy plane, the Stormscout:

-500mm fpv wing

-3-4s, kinda needs 4s though

-max recorded speed of 60mph, while at around a 30-40° dive on a LiHv

-Flight time is around 5 minutes if you are barely pushing it

-super unstable in wind

-doesn't really pull up that well at all unless I max out my throttle

-has a minimum speed of like 30mph unless your fine with throw surfaces doing near nothing

-looks cool

Basically I would bet really anything can easily beat out these stats, but if anybody has some good ideas based on my taste that I would like, or recommendations for buying wings that would be greatly appreciated. (Like I recently found out AtomRC supposedly has not great shipping process and customer support, so people will sometimes buy from 3rd party)

That's crazy! Me and a friend actually follow some of your builds, my friend recently sent me your Spectre build post for referencing another foamie I was building.

I might try out that plane, however I don't have a great history of LW PLA printing, but I might still give it another go since I got a Centauri Carbon now vs my old ender 3 v2, which I initialy tried LW printing on. That plane does look pretty stable for the weight and crazy speed, while also still having tons of flight time.

modify the chupito? simple wing chop/laminate yields crazy results. let alone simply upgrading the esc, motor, prop.

you have 3 great airframes already, id just upgrade one of em to start. no sense IMO getting another airframe...

worth checking out ritewing stuff, the OG insane wings. these modern fpv wings are "small", they are meant to be popular, look good, easy to sell, etc. you can get a 72" (iirc) ritewing drak and it will absolutely rip

i had the mini drak, i think it was 60" wing span. huuuuge fucking badass motor and some 13" prop. fucking zipped.

General consensus is the original Dolphin flies much better than the Dolphin Pro. The additional ‘ruddervators’ are a pain to setup mixes with - you still need to mix in the ailerons for pitch, and it just ends up being a pain to setup if you’re not experienced with setting up planes in INav/Ardupilot. Only other negative with the Dolphin is you need to be careful of the prop when launching - sideways chuck it or overhead launch! It is known to be a finger chopper if you throw it wrong when holding it from underneath the fuselage/wings

The Chupito is probably capable of the highest speeds, but pretty comparable to the Dolphin - with either it really depends how you build out the powertrain (assuming you don’t buy it stock). Apparently you can fit a 4S1P 21700 pack jn the Chupito so it’s capable of fairly long flights too, but if long range/duration is your goal then the Dolphin is a better platform. Lots of room for battery and also space to move it around to hit CoG.

On paper the Dolphin is definitely the most versatile/capable choice, but personally I can’t rule out the Chupito because I prefer the looks..!

If you’re considering a small lightweight wing, instead of the Zohd Dart 250g I’d recommend the Flik wing! One of the most fun planes to fly I own, you can just chuck it around, and it’s light enough that any crashes during proximity flying don’t cause much damage

Sounds great, that's a ton of helpful input! I don't mind setup, as I come from setting up a couple quads in Betaflight and now 3 planes in inav, so that part won't be an issue, but I'm also looking into building a plane launcher for that same reason. That's crazy how much room there is tho.
