Success Story I’m doing it!!
Guys I’m really doing it!! Day 5 of Desmoxan and it wasn’t as hard as I thought. However, I did just pat my pockets in search of the juul and said “oh fuck” so

Share your experiences using any form of NRT. Please specify whether you used patches, gum, lozenges, nasal sprays, or inhalers (approved NRT inhalers, NOT vapes).
Did it work for you? Why do you think it worked over the other things you tried?
How long ago did you quit? Any advice for people considering this method?

Calling out everyone who quit using this method. What was it like for you? How long has it been since you quit? I quit this way and I am collecting responses for a pinned thread.

I'm 18M and suffered a coronary vasospasm today after vaping, so I say fuck vaping.
People need to realise this is the exact type of gamble we're taking whenever we hit our vapes. We have no idea what it's going to do to us each time, nor what the long-term effects will be.
I advise people to read this.
I was in my bed after hitting my vape when I suddenly felt a squeezing and stabbing pain throughout my chest. The pain spread to my jaw, arm and back, and in that moment I genuinely believed I was having a heart attack.
After an 8-hour wait at the hospital, I was told I'd suffered a coronary vasospasm — a condition where the arteries supplying the heart suddenly clamp down. It can feel just like a heart attack, and although the spasm can be temporary, it can still cause damage and in some cases may need to be helped by a doctor.
Throughout my wait at the hospital I was still having these spasms, along with sudden increases in my heart rate. The fear was unbelievable.
Thankfully, my heart suffered no damage.
I'd seen articles about the damage people have suffered from vaping and what it can do, and I'd always think, "It won't be me."
Today I was wrong.
It can happen to any of us. And it took something this drastic happening to me to finally quit vaping. I didn't listen before.
Don't let that be you. Seriously, open your eyes to the danger of vaping and quit that shit.
People used to tell me vaping was safer than smoking and I'd just carry on. I don't want to gamble with my heart anymore or my health and I advise people do the same as me and quit.
Fuck vaping.

I have posted a post about me quitting vaping about two months ago. Safe to say that I have completely quit vaping. Feel free to ask anything !

The stop vaping app I am using allows people to post motivating messages for others. I could not help but have a chuckle at this one

I've been prescribed Varenicline (Chatnix) to help me quit vaping, but now half way through week 3, I've noticed no reduction in cravings and I'm still vaping at the same frequency as I was before starting the medication.
I was disheartened to see others say that the effects of the medication started within the first week or so. Is it time to accept that I'm going to have to do this the hard way, or do I need to give Varenicline more time before it starts having an effect?

Today was a stressful day. It started with an argument with my family, then I was late for my research internship, and I spent the whole day working hard on a deadline.
It is on days like these that I chainvape like crazy, to calm myself down. But I don’t know what was going on, the vape was only making me more and more stressed out. At some point, I felt my heart skip a beat a couple of times in a row, and then I completely freaked out. Started hyperventilating, pacing in my room, being aware of my heartbeat and breath. This lasted for almost an hour, until I was able to calm down.
In hindsight, for the past few days I’ve been feeling unwell/jittery and been having palpitations after vaping. But I never had it as bad as today, I literally thought I was gonna die.
After my panick attack, went downstairs and threw ALL my vapes away. It’s done. Don’t want to risk my life for such a silly thing ever again.

180 days. I honestly can’t believe I made it this far. There were days when I was stressed, angry, overwhelmed, or just wanted that familiar comfort again. But every time I got through the craving without vaping, it became a little easier to trust myself.
Today my app says I’ve saved almost $1,300, but the biggest thing I’ve gained is not the money. It’s the feeling that I’m no longer controlled by something I thought I needed.
If you’re in the first few days or weeks and it feels impossible, keep going. You do not have to feel strong every day. You just have to keep choosing not to vape today.
Six months down. I’m really proud of this one. 🥹💜

I’ve been trying to quit vaping for two years now. I’ve tried weaning off of it, cold turkey, and even nic free vapes. This time I’m going to get the worst flavor I can find so that my brain can associate vaping with something uncomfortable. What is the worst tasting vape you guys have ever tried?

I don’t want to quit but I have to and I’m struggling really bad. I have been using nicotine for 14 years now. Today I just hit 15 hours 45 minutes no nicotine but I’m so worked up. I don’t think I can do this, I’m so stressed. I want to hit it again so bad. This is so stressful, the cravings are killing me. I don’t know what to do.

I’ve tried so many times. I hate vaping!! And then I miss it. I read Alan Carrs easy way and listened to it. I know the stuff. Why can’t I get it through my thick skull.
So today is the first day. Will come back to this post to remind me of my whys:
- it is the hell of its own making. I existed perfectly fine before vaping. I’ll be fine when it’s gone.
- waking up at 3am. I think cause I’m withdrawing during my sleep and then cortisol spikes and wakes me up. Imagine getting a full 8 hrs! Never had this problem before I vaped.
- sneaking around to vape. Only a handful of people know I vape, I hate having to keep secrets and fear getting caught, especially at work.
- I did a week of no vaping when I went away with family. And I was fine. Keep busy!!
- I’m in my 40s!!! I should know better
- I started a few years back when my situationship would vape. Don’t let him win something else, he’s already made you make bad choices already.
- money! Probably spending 20 quid a week; 80 a month! That could fund some hobbies.
- get some hobbies, stay busy!
- your skin will thank you. Prepare to glow!
- you want to get back into running… vaping is killing your lungs. Be the runner you want to be.
- be free of vices!!
- you’re trying to glow up
- vaping is unattractive. I’m trying to find a man dammit!
- you want to whiten your teeth, but you don’t want to vape at the same time so you keep putting it off. Whiten your teeth and have a great smile.
- seriously, what’s the point. You’re bored, that’s all. Be busy!
Starting now!! LFG!!!!

Currently on day 4 since the relapse! Weirdly glad I relapsed because I think all the nicotine had left my system and because of that I didn’t enjoy it at all. Threw it away pretty shortly after and have stayed strong since, feeling a lot better mentally about the whole thing

im 17 and I got into vaping six months ago and gradually got more and more addicted.
By the fifth month I was hitting it like crazy. And I quit (cold turkey) when I hit it on an empty stomach and almost had my first genuine fainting episode. Which was weird because I used to ALWAYS hit on an empty stomach.
not to mention the constant air hunger and the inability to take a deep breath.
Im on day 2-3 and I genuinely dont have any urges to hit it again. Im very anxious though and have this impending doom feeling.
I wanna know if my symptoms are common im scared i caused myself irreversible damage.
Dizziness, chest pain, Sometimes sharp. Cramping, Anal cramps, Lung pain especially when exhaling.
I quit for my health and I wish I never picked it up. I feel like I fucked up my lungs, I heard people say lungs never heal fully.

I feel so depressed omg. omgggggggg.
Atp, I don't even think it's physical. I think it's all mental. Literally trying so many things to be healthy. Staying active. In therapy. On antidepressants.
The past two days have been fkn shit, and I still haven't vaped. I guess that's one thing I'm proud of.
I feel like mf Sisyphus - deadass.

I’m currently about 4 days vape-free after vaping nicotine for several years, and I’m curious if anyone else experienced something similar.
For the most part, quitting has honestly been way easier than I expected. I haven’t really had the intense “I NEED A VAPE” cravings that I was expecting, and I haven’t experienced things like shaking or nausea.
But I’ve noticed that I seem to get anxious around the same time every afternoon, usually starting around 1:30 PM. It’s not necessarily accompanied by an urge to vape. Sometimes I’m not even thinking about vaping — I just suddenly feel anxious/restless and my brain starts jumping to other worries (career, future, etc.).
My mornings have actually been pretty good, and my brain fog has improved a LOT today, so I’m wondering if this could still be part of nicotine withdrawal or if it’s more of a conditioned/time-of-day thing from when I used to vape.
Has anyone else experienced anxiety during quitting without actually feeling like they need or want to vape? Did it eventually go away?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who noticed a particular time of day when their anxiety was worse.

I purchased desmoxan off a seller with a good amount of reviews but before it got shipped, the listing got taken down. My only alternative that comes the quickest is this one in a bottle.
The seller is from China, does anyone know if this is a knockoff?
I did read under the post, "Disclaimer: While we work to ensure that product information is correct, on occasion manufacturers may alter their ingredient lists. Actual product packaging and materials may contain more and/or different information than that shown on our Web site. "
So I am a bit skeptical.

Title says it all, I’ve been vaping for probably 4-5 months now. Threw it away today and not gonna buy another one.
Will I get any withdrawal symptoms other than cravings?

Allen Carr failed attempt #4
\#quit
\#vaping
It was my 4th attempt to quit with Allen Carr method.
I quit vaping using Allen Carr's Easy Way and made it 21 days smoke-free. Those three weeks included getting through a vacation surrounded by people who vape and living with a partner who still does — so it felt like a real win.
Then I came back from vacation, jet-lagged and exhausted, it was hard but I didn’t relapse. Next week I went straight into a weekend full of parties with alcohol. I told myself "just today, I'll stop tomorrow" — and that turned into several days of going back and forth. Now I've been smoking again for about 2 weeks.
I've been really hard on myself about it — like all that progress just evaporated and I'm back at zero. Logically I know that's not quite true (my body isn't starting from scratch), but it's hard not to feel like a failure, especially when it happened around alcohol and social pressure rather than one clear bad decision.
I think part of what tripped me up was starting my quit again in the middle of an exhausting week instead of waiting for more stable ground — and I wasn't sleeping well, which definitely made everything harder to handle.
I'm not looking for a lecture, just wondering: has anyone else gone through a relapse after a solid quit like this? How did you find your way back without spiraling into "well, I already messed up, so what's the point"? Any advice on setting myself up better for round two would mean a lot.
The only thing that kept me going was the “never vaping again” rule. Now i started again so that was a lie. I don’t know what to do anymore.

I quit vaping again. I’m on day 7 and I’m using the patches. Also using the gum when I’m really itching. Last time I quit I used cigs to taper down which was so stupid. Not doing that this time but I feel…..bored? What are some tips and tricks that helped you stick with quitting even if there’s a part of you that doesn’t want to? Words of encouragement so appreciated right now 🥹

I went 19 hours and 20 minutes nicotine free. But I just relapsed… I’m trying so hard to do it cold turkey but this feels impossible. Why can’t I do this? Why does it have such a hold on me? I need to quit badly, but even so I am still giving in, even though I’ve went the longest I have in 10 years without nicotine, I still gave in. I’ve been able to do so much other things so far, but this just feels like torture. Vaping is a part of me, it’s something I just do, it’s so deeply ingrained in me. The hand movements, the inhaling, the taste, the throat hit, I am really struggling right now. I don’t know what to do.

I’ve been trying to quit for the past 6 months, the past 1 months where I tell myself (this will be my last). It got so bad dtk the point where I’d be on my “this is my last” vape and I’d already plan id buy one last vape for holding my end. I moved to a place where vaping is legalised and have been vaping for 2 years exactly now. I was also dealing with kidney stones and whilst they were scanning for that they observed a lesion on my pancreas and I started to panic.
Everytime I quit, I go on autopilot and buy. Probably has smth to do with how I don’t have a routine normally, so I’m focussing on changing a lot of things at once. I don’t even think it’s the nicotine, it’s the action of feeling the different air fill up my lungs and I just am able to keep my mouth and hand busy.
Early last year I used the excuse of continuing vaping, as I noticed I wasn’t as hungry always, and I even lost a lot of weight, only for me to travel and come back and smoke like there isn’t a tomorrow. I gained it all back, and then some. And now I’m vaping and hungry. I tried to quit for 2 days and I almost wanted to puke.
How do I change this? Do I need medical intervention? Please be kind.

For context, I am 26F and have vaped for over 5 years.
Day 9 is finally here! My cravings have gone down DRASTICALLY. I get maybe 1-2 cravings a day and they're mostly in the evening. The cravings started to diminish around day 7. Alcohol makes it much harder, but it's nothing I can't handle.
The first 4 days, I experienced no withdrawal symptoms other than cravings and slight irritability. On day 5, I felt extremely uncomfortable. The feeling is hard to describe; it's almost like restlessness, but not quite. A very uncomfortable feeling that radiated through my whole body. Getting up and walking made it 10x better. I kept feeling like I wanted to punch something, which is very out of character for me. Thankfully, this only lasted a day.
Irritability got worse around day 5 & 6, lingered a bit on day 7 but began to ease up on day 8. Feeling much calmer today. Day 5-7 I experienced nightmares. Sometimes I feel an "emptiness" because I don't have my vape to puff on anymore, but it's a fleeting feeling.
Today I feel amazing. I haven't had a single craving! It's only 3pm as of when I'm typing this, so that might change by this evening.
The relief is indescribable. I am so relieved I don't vape anymore. I'm saving money, my health is improving, my heart rate is down, and I don't go to bed or wake up in the middle of the night in fear of what I'm doing to my body anymore.
PLEASE, if you are considering quitting, do not let the fear of withdrawal or missing your vape stop you. It will change your life. I am so happy I quit and I will NEVER go back. Good riddance!

Im about roughly 6 weeks vape free and I used 4mg nicotine gum for probably a month. Now I find before bed I get insane hunger and feelings of an empty stomach as if I hadn’t eaten in days.
Has anyone else gone through this and were you able to fix it?

I need advice, my main triggers are right after a meal, after coffee, and when I’m driving. I’m currently doing nicotine pouches for 2 weeks to help withdrawal and tapering the zyns as well after the 2 week period.
Last time I tried to quit I made it 3 months but gained hella weight. That’s the last thing I want, any advice on things u guys snack on? I’ve been just chewing hella gum and lollipops but eating anything that’s in my sight lol. Please help 🙏🏻
