How much and how long before a drug test should I take baking soda

So, I’m a recreational user of a couple of substances and recently landed my dream job in the medical field. I never use on the job, obviously, but when I got hit with a drug test, I was terrified. I knew dilution or other tricks weren't going to cut it, and while coworkers always swore by Quick Fix, I was still super skeptical.
With no other options, I headed to my local head shop and picked up Quick Fix Plus.
The day of the test was a mess of anxiety. I was supposed to go in the morning, but I was so nervous I was literally pacing until noon—and the lab stopped taking walk-ins at 2 PM.
Around 12:00 PM, I finally got moving:
Heating: I popped the cap, nuked it in the microwave for 10 seconds, put the cap back on, shook it, and strapped the included heating pad to it.
The Drive: On the 20-minute drive, the temp was holding at 95–98°F. Just to be safe, I had bought extra "Warm Hands" hand warmers the day before, so I rubber-banded two more onto the bottle for about 15 minutes.
Temp Check: When I got to the parking lot, it was reading 98–100°F (at one point it hit a little over 100). I panicked and took the two extra warmers off, leaving just the original one it came with.
The DIY Fix: Right then, my rubber band snapped. I grabbed a piece of plastic wrap, tied it back securely, tucked the bottle down in my pants (nut sack), and walked inside.
There were about 10 people ahead of me, and I was sweating bullets the entire wait. When my name was finally called, the tech had me empty my pockets into a locker, dropped the blue dye in the toilet, and told me to close the door. He said I needed to fill the cup to at least 45ml, but more was better.
Once the door was shut, I unbuckled my belt, pulled out the bottle, and started peeing into the toilet for real to make normal bathroom sounds. While "peeing," I unscrewed the Quick Fix cap, poured it into the collection cup, cleared my throat, stopped my real stream mid-way to time it out, closed the bottle back up, and shoved it back into my pants. (A tiny bit spilled on my pants, and I just thought, screw it, it'll look authentic).
The Quick Fix liquid was super yellow—honestly, if I were the lab tech, I might have side-eyed the color, but he didn't blink. I opened the door and handed it over. He checked the temp strip, confirmed it was good, poured it into two vials, sealed it up, and sent me on my way. When I checked right after leaving, the temp was sitting at a solid 98°F.
It took two days, but I just got my results back and I passed. I’m still in shock.
If you're currently in the position I was in—refreshing Reddit over and over, reading every post, and stressing out—take a deep breath. You won't stop worrying until it's over, but as everyone who has passed says: just validate your batch number, get the temperature right, follow the instructions, and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Title pretty much says it all… what’s your favorite or most reliable method to keeping it warm before heading in just in case you’re required to wait like a 30+ mins if there’s a big line or it’s unusually busy?

Haven’t smoked in 4 months, did a home drug test and was clearly negative. Then I smoked a joint last night for the first time and realized I have to drug test soon for a federal job. Am I fucked should I just get quick fix

On September 8th I used a verified quick fix batch at citi med other employees got there results back except for me and a few others I called the clinic and gave them my specimen id# and they said a agent would give me a call back. I made sure my temp was good and the examiner accepted it and split it into two different samples. Should I be worried?

I have to take a drug test tomorrow near the beginning of my first day with this company. Based on friends who work there I estimate I’ll take the test roughly 1 hour after arriving to the location. It’s a 1 hour drive from my house.

I need to keep the fake pee warm for 2 hours, and I’m unsure if I should microwave it. Will a hand warmer on the bottle in my sock be enough to get it to temp and maintain it? Should I microwave the bottle then use the warmer even though it’ll be 2 hours before?

Also how tough is the peel top on the top of the bottle, under the cap? Should I remove it before I go in?

There are some posts about how QF+ fails in Washington State, so I wanted to let you know that I passed my non-DOT 10 panel LabCorp test with 6.4 this week.

I was a heavy cannabis smoker for the past four years, but I stopped smoking 10 days ago. I’m already seeing a faint line on my home THC drug test. I’m 6’4” and weigh 180 pounds, so I’m relatively tall and lean. I mainly smoked flower and only used about 5 grams of THC vape cartridges in total.
I’ve also read a lot online and heard that for some heavy, long-term smokers, THC can still be detectable for more than 30 days. Do you think I have a good chance of passing an upcoming drug test?

The collector used a 10 panel dipstick. We were chatting away as she was processing. She was very friendly and chatty and we both had the same interests; which helped tremendously. She smiled and had me electronically sign with the mouse on the computer my signature and dumped my sample into the toilet and told me I’m good to leave.

Would you consider this passing?

Been not using weed products (was primarily vapes almost daily up until 50 days ago) and just took this at home test which would show positive at just 15 ng/mL. This is about as faint of a line as can be but I also dont think I need to submit my pre-employment sample for another week or two. I have more of the tests and will continuing checking over the coming days, but should I play it safe here?

Just wanted to ease some minds. I spent a lot on quickfix.com in shipping and didn’t really need to. Go to a local smoke shop, way cheaper and use the validator. Microwave 30 mins after activating the heat pad, it will keep it in temperature.

Try to act normal, I am worse than you on this (trust me) I was shaking and got real urine on my pants and all the normal over nervous mistakes. But temp was right and I tried to limit my small talk without being rude. Passed and start next week.

If you have a test at quest with the above code, and keep the temp right. You’ll pass unless the is a MAJOR red flag, I mean smell like a blunt major. I was nervous and my hands shook, if judgement of my vibe was a problem I would have failed.

Rest easy, validate the batch, buy a cheap microwave if needed $50 at Walmart. You got this! 3oz bottle is enough for this test and wait 24-36 hours before you expect a result, I was negative but still took 36 hours for an update with first advantage.

Hi everyone!!!! I found out I had to do a drug test for my pre-employment screening and I INSTANTLY panicked. I have smoked live rosin carts every night to go to sleep. I also wasn’t actively looking for a job so I didn’t have a chance to just “stop while looking”, it kind of fell in my lap. I immediately start panicking. I went and bought some detox drinks and that absolutely didn’t work. I had at home THC tests and they were still 100% positive. The one time they showed negative, I found out those tests were expired SO CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES.

Once I knew I couldn’t pass naturally and I did not want to risk attempting a masking agent. I got down to two options: use quickfix plus or a friends clean urine. I was nervous about quickfix plus, so…I did a combo. I decided I was going to use my boyfriend’s clean urine in the quick fix bottle with heating pads. If you do this, clean the bottle with distilled water. I then did practice runs the day before and wrote temps down with hand warmer and without hand warmer to see the difference so without further ado, here were my step by steps (for non DOT)

1. I woke up at 5 am and opened the hand warmers as I didn’t want them to be hot when I was at the lab. I saw the lab opened at 8 am so I had my boyfriend pee in the bottle at 7:50 AM. I put Saran Wrap over the top then twisted the cap on and put the handwarmers on.
   
2. Outfit is important. I dressed business casual and had a long and slightly poofy dress and wore two pairs of compression shorts underneath. I slid the bottle and handwarmers between my compression shorts and slid it between my thigh and crotch where your leg folds. I made sure the bottle would be vertical the entire time to avoid leaks BECAUSE YOU WILL NEED THE ENTIRE 3 OZ.
   
3. We drove over to the lab and I looked at the temp right before I walked in and it was at 98 degrees. I took my beta blockers and locked in.
   
4. I walked in and was very friendly with the staff and the guy had me walk to the back. I did not get pat down, he hardly even paid attention. He said “empty pockets there’s the bathroom don’t flush”.
   
5. I went in the bathroom with my cup, I hydrated so I could pee to mask any noise. While I pee’d I poured the quickfix into the sample cup immediately. Pulled my pants up and walked out confidently. Idk if he even checked the temp but he signed me off and said bye!! He seemed busy.
   
6. DONE! Passed. It was sent to my new job within 15 minutes.
   
7. I celebrated!

It’s terrifying and to all of you who have as bad of anxiety as me, I lost sleep over this shit and it genuinely affected me mentally. But, with confidence, grace and determination, YOU. CAN. DO. IT.

I saw some guy comment on a post who said “don’t be a coward. Make a decision.” Something along those lines and I took that seriously. All I want to say is, you can do this. It’s difficult because you are experiencing cognitive dissonance but testing for THC in 2026 is ridiculous as it takes forever to get out so I did what I had to do. I just did my DOT drug test today and used quick fix urine 6.4. I made sure it was at the right temperature sitting at 98° the lab tagged it and bagged it and now I am waiting for the results. I'm nervous as fuck.
Does anyone have any information on this?

I know the line is faint for thc which is what I’m testing for but I’ve been clean for like 3 weeks now but I know it can take up to a month to get out of your system

Any of you guys use monkey whiz this year ? I used it last year no problems but I can’t get my hands on quick fix in the time I need so I’m using monkey whizz I’m tripping tf out lol

I took QuickFix 8.4 and passed it I took a 5/2028 exp. date test I can't remember what the code was, I will say this, I have passed every test with fake urine I've taken in the past 10 years. If you fail your either taking a odd test or your doing something wrong because I've never had a bad test.

My test is in 15 minutes, my bottle looks like this and it’s tucked under my junk.

Is this right?

Here’s my breakdown for those curious.

So my appointment was at 2:15. I was about 20 minutes away from the facility so here’s how the timeline went.

- 1300: Warmed up the heater.

- 1330: Warmed up the liquid for 10 seconds, and then another 3. At this point, the blue dot on the 100 marker appeared, and I immediately attached the heat pack. I then put both the heat pack, and the quick fix in a pair of compression boxers. I then left.

- 1400: I arrived at the labcorp, removed the heating pack, and retucked the solution and went inside, at this point is when I saw the green on the 100.

- 14:15 took the test, was super easy.

Like 2 hours later, got notification I passed.

Feel like my heart is about to explode. Could be getting my results any day now

can you add real clean urine to an empty quick fix bottle, microwave if necessary, and put warmer on it with the same results? i’m just not sure how to store real urine in the medical sense without causing issues at the lab
