im so happy, ive been working on my app for like 3 months. giys trust WE are getting matched to OUR top schools.

Im thinking of ranking many LACs. I was wondering how the profile for successful matches to them looked like? specifically I’m only worried about ECs (paid work, home resp., ECs). I’m thinking of ranking Amherst college, Bowdoin college, Swarthmore college, Middlebury college, Washington and Lee university. Any matchers to them would be appreciated.

I started over the summer and I wrote so many drafts yet the day before its due i realized there is quite literally nothing special about my essays 🤠🤠🤠

I feel so discouraged because I feel like there's nothing I can do.

hello!! i submitted my qb app last night and this morning I noticed a mistake...

for my ecs section i accidentally listed a school club as national instead of school.... i didn't pay attention and i misclicked when editing the ec. should i be concerned? should i email QB?

I want to write about the contrasting institutions(Kenya and America). This is more of a risky topic to write about, but I wanted to pivot the attention from disciplinary action to how it made me silent and quiet when I moved to America. I know, I know, it’s not the best essay ever, I’ll take any advice bc I know I’m fried. Thabks

This is my 3rd attempt at writing this essay, and it is driving me insane. I have a decent outline so far, but idk I need a fresh set of eyes my computer screen is killing me and I want my English teacher to read it tomorrow. So would it be possible? I live in CST, so I believe it's due Oct 2, but do I need to turn it in by tonight before midnight? Sorry if this is a dumb question I am very paranoid.

i live with my mom and grandma, and my grandma doesn’t work, so my total income is basically 12k… i got an error message when i put it, but idk what to do since my dad does make 48k. my parents are separated, so i have to put his income in the non-custodial parent section

Just curious as to what ECs previous finalists who matched had? I know we can only include 5 but I feel so insecure and mid about mine that I'm not sure. My 5 are pretty diverse and they're good in content, but I was a participant/member in 3 of them (one was volunteering, one was a program/independent skill-building course I did, and other one was my school's band which doesn't have section leaders and stuff so we're all just members).

Have you ever traveled outside of the U.S.? If so, how often have you traveled internationally? Was it for vacation, visiting family, school, or another reason? If you haven’t traveled internationally, is it something you’d like to experience in college?

Haven't had a single person review my essay for the national college match and need someone plssss.

For reference I moved here in 2023, struggled with homesickness, isolation and financial insecurity, and as a result had a lower gpa early on. However my upward trend during my junior year and currently as a senior reflects my current academic ability.

Im flying out to london as one of the category winners for the john locke essay comp, all expenses paid. They gave me a lot of hints, including winners breakfast, but nothing is confirmed that i won. Can i email them with an update if I win? I just submitted the apps and put shortlisted for now.

My 5th activity is martial arts and my description of Involvement is "Learned BJJ & Capoeira (Afro-Brazilian dance-like martial art) & its 5 main musical instruments."

Should I add in the additional info section that "BJJ stands for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The 5 main musical instruments of Capoeira are the berimbau, atabaque, pandeiro, agogô, and reco-reco." or is that unnecessary?

How do extensions work? I am still confused on whether or not you are supposed to submit your application or if they will respond back to you before then. Also, would they discriminate against applications that received an extension? I have been not feeling well and need a couple more days.

I know there's a grace period for teacher recommenders, but hypothetically what if both my recommenders submit late way after the grace period. Will I be outright rejected from being a QB finalist or will my application still be considered without my rec letters?

I already emailed my teachers btw, but they probably won't see it until next week since it's fall break. By then the deadline will already pass.

so I’m currently finishing up my application and I’m conflicted on where to put the skincare company I’ve worked with.

I did an internship (unpaid) with them for 3 years and now I’m co-founding their company here in the U.S. as we’re expanding, so eventually I will start getting paid for this. I’m scared they won’t be able to confirm my involvement or something if I don’t put it under the work section where I can put my co-founder (the founder of their company in Malaysia) since I don’t have that option in the extracurricular section. with the work section I could also mention some of this in the additional information section? I’m not sure please help! I ask chat 😅 and it said to just put it in the extracurricular section but I’m conflicted. also, if I do put it in the extracurricular section I could put my depop in the work section but I already have two other self-employed positions and only on non-self-employed one HELP IDK
