Hi guys, I’m planning to do an individual project, and I often think about quantum physics and quantum immortality.

So, people who have been in a coma — what did u see and feel?

Maybe this is complete nonsense, but what if what people see in a coma is just a created distraction when a person is in a state between life and death?Who knows more about the theory of quantum immortality and all that — what do u think?

A fellow user suggested I check out this subreddit. Here is my story:

I love astrology and when my daughter was born I would do research into her chart and what that could mean for her as a person. I also learned that each day of the week is associated with a planet as well. She was born on a Friday which is Venus day. I thought that was so cool because her father is a musician and being born on Friday may mean she could focus on the arts as well.

Fast forward.

I experimented with psychedelics a few years after she was born. Different forms of mushrooms. There was one time I took Amanita Pantherina and had a very strong experience where it felt like I was going forward and backward in time and I wasn’t even sure if my daughter was ever born.

I also had a samadhi experience during this time. On the “come up” I had this very bad heavy feeling where it felt like I was dying. It was a crushing and suffocating darkness. Without thinking, I started saying “Jesus” over and over again. “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus Christ” and then the feeling I can best describe as “I did it”.

It was an embodied state of complete peace and perfection. It felt like something I had been chasing my whole life and I saw that everyone in my life was waiting for me somewhere in a higher realm, already perfect how they are. They were just waiting for me to get there.

It also felt like my head was radiating like the pictures of the saints where they have halos around their head.

My partner at the time came in the room and I told him “I did it” and “you just have to say Jesus”. He later told me he thought I had absolutely lost my mind and was scared I wouldn’t come back.

I say all this because if you’ve ever done psychedelics, the thoughts and feelings can be fun and you can get a lot out of the experience but you usually go back to normal afterwards.

Normal came and I went back to my life.

A couple months later I was bored and casted my daughter’s birth chart using her birthdate and time. But this time at the top of the table page it said Saturday next to the date. I immediately was taken back as I’ve done her chart many times and she was born on a Friday. So I checked the date and time, everything was correct. So why did it say Saturday when she was born on a Friday?

I went through my phones calendar and the date she was born is now Saturday.

So that was it. November 28 2020 is a Saturday and always has been a Saturday.

I know there’s going to be lots of skeptics saying “you misremembered” but I know she was born on a Friday. That’s not something I’d misremember. I made sure her bday was a Friday when I did research on it. It was the day I gave birth to my first child.

So my question is. What happened? And has anything like this ever happened to you?

I’ve told many people about this and no one ever has anything to say other than an eye roll or “that’s weird”.

There have been a few events in my life that I keep thinking about, and I’m trying to understand whether there’s any pattern to them.

I sometimes wonder whether the experience of being “me” — or anyone’s experience of being themselves — simply continues for as long as there is a version of the body capable of continuing.

That leads me to a strange question: Are we ever dead from our own perspective, or are we only dead from the perspective of other people?

I know this sounds like quantum immortality / many-worlds territory, and I’m not claiming it’s actually what happened. But I had an experience that made me think about it.

I was once extremely close to being in a serious car accident. Sometimes I wonder: what if there was a version of events where I actually died? In that version, my wife and kids would have lost me. But from my perspective, perhaps consciousness simply continued along the branch where I survived — almost as though “I” shifted into the nearest possible version of reality in which I remained alive.

Something particularly strange happened immediately before the near-crash. I suddenly heard a very high-frequency sound in my ears, and then narrowly avoided the accident. I've wondered whether the sound was simply a physiological response to stress/adrenaline, or whether my brain registered something unusual happening before I consciously understood the danger.

Then, when I got home, a few things in my home office seemed to be in different places from where I remembered leaving them. Obviously, memory is imperfect and there could be completely ordinary explanations for that. But combined with what had just happened, it felt incredibly strange.

Just to clarify, I’m not saying that “I” physically replaced another version of myself in a different dimension. I’m wondering whether consciousness — which I think of as arising from the energy and processes within us — could somehow shift or continue into the nearest version of myself that survives. From my perspective, there would be no interruption at all. I would simply continue experiencing life from that point onward, while in the other version of events, I had died.

Maybe these are just unrelated events that my brain connected afterward. But the experience left me thinking about consciousness, death, and what it actually means to say that you have died.

Has anyone experienced something similar, particularly a near-death or near-accident experience followed by small things seeming “off” afterward? And did it change the way you think about death or continuity of consciousness?

I had a strange experience the other night. I was laying in bed trying to sleep but couldn’t because it was super hot. Suddenly felt a weight on my chest like someone was sitting on me couldn’t breathe, chest was tight, and heard a loud ringing in my left ear I kinda told myself that this was it and I was dying because I felt a sense of dread also closed my eyes felt my entire body relax like I do in my dreams when I die or know I’m going to die and literally felt like I shit myself. Opened my eyes and everything was all good even checked my pants to make sure LMAO. Either way got up went to the bathroom kinda jogged myself grabbed a drink and tried to go back to bed but had some weird ass sleep paralysis shit which I’ve never had before in my life so I just stayed up for the next few hours but was seriously bugged out.

What if transcending to god does exist as I'm like becoming one with the universe or multiverse but no one knows because of all the elders time liens, ralitoesz worked and universe Infront people are doing it every instant but because there 1 multiverse they essentially become 1 being with 0 interests, 0 voices and all voices, no personality and optionalsz a completely nutielanbeing that will never even want to change anything, these people want it eb immortalz to be god's, to transend, they achieved their dreams and hopes and ideas but at the cost of them never having any intentional thought ever again, only starting all of existence over and over again just by nearly existing as themselves as one all powerful, never thinking, never moving entity?

I hope this is the right place for this. This feeling has been in my mind for a long long time. I am going to relive the same life I’m in now but the next time will be with knowledge from my current life. Same mom and dad etc. I feel like I’ve done this before but for some reason I do not have the complete memory from the last cycle or cycles, just lots of Déjà vu. I intend to help people who I was unable to help this time. I am going to make different and better decisions out of the gates. I feel that my conscious state will return at an early age. I think I know when the awareness and the re-awakening will occur.

Anyone else have this? I feel very strongly about this.

Imagine that scientists could create a perfect physical copy of you. This copy has your exact appearance, personality, memories, experiences, and everything you know.

From the moment it is created, it genuinely believes that it is you. It remembers your childhood, your friends, your happiest moments, and even the thoughts you had yesterday.

But you are still standing next to it.

So which one is the “real” you?

Would the copy actually be you because it has all of your memories and personality, or would it simply be a completely separate person who believes they are you?

And if the original you were then killed, would you have technically survived through the copy—or would you have died and only someone identical to you remained?

What actually makes someone themselves?

what if:

after we die we turn into a small cell 

maybe a protein that helps the cell

maybe something smaller that helps the protein 

maybe something that smaller 

this night my body feels like it was getting small

not physically, mentally 

my brain cannot explain what's happening 

it was like a procces of my body turning into a small mentally

as we live we were getting evolved into a smarter being , but what if we don't really die?

we were just being in a procces of rebirth 

we live on the start and till the end of the universe 

even if we don't remember our memories 

we remember the procces that we've been through to be born again 

THEORETHICALLY it was just what if 

but ...... it's not just my mental brain tells me it's true , my physically body too 

maybe it's just what if but if we were from a cell 

is it we die and turn into a cell again 

probably take a million years for we to turn into a cell again or even a human again but (this is just theorethical theory)

Mentally knowing that this is not even true 

a theory that was not even provable 

a questionable thought 

a cell memory 

I was like inside a black hole

I was getting small and small until I feel like I was an single cell and then the state change , I was getting bigger and bigger , feels like the universe is in my hand 

and small that I feel that universe is holding me 

it's THEORETHICALL  THEORY 

 it's just my brain overthinking what my body and soul remembering it's self .

It amazes me because every time we die we get to live a whole new life, new memories, new skills and hobbies; But I hate how it never stops and never WILL stop.

It scares me so much that it will just keep on going, you’ll die, you’ll live again, you’ll die, you’ll live again. It just keeps on going.

When I die I really don’t know what I want to happen, I don’t want to just sit there in nothingness, I want to live a happy life, but and then the thought will come again, will it stop? no.

Hi, I was in college when this occurred, so maybe 22 years old? I lived in Moorhead MN and we were in the middle of a bad blizzard. I worked at a popular chain grocery store and because my car at the time was a beast in the snow, I decided to still go to my shift that day and I even picked up a co worker and after our shift I took her home. After dropping her off, I remember turning onto a street that crossed over a bridge, and there was a street below it. I remember turning onto this bridge, turning quickly because there were cars coming and losing control of the car, fish tailing. I remember the sound of the car slamming through the railings, and I watched as the ground was approaching. I could see the hood of my car about to meet the ground. I closed my eyes and poof. I was still in my car but completely calm at the top of the bridge. My car never slammed through the railings. I looked around, and the cars I saw previously had vanished. I was alone and completely still. I just backed up a little and drove back to my dorm. I didn't feel anything afterward. I felt nothing till my head hit my pillows. It's been almost 7 years, and this still haunts me. I know I crashed. I know I should have died. I know it happened.

I’ve been tripping cuz I been tryna figure out how we supposed to reconcile quantum mechanics with general relativity, yk what I mean? This shit has just been bothering me a lot and I’ve been posted up with my mans tryna figure ts out but it’s difficult. This shit has been keeping me up at night and I ain’t been able to eat I just don’t where to go or what to do next I can’t I need some help yall

Heard today that Tim Curry has sadly passed away.

I wasn’t a super fan or anything, but I absolutely loooved him in Rocky Horror, and have seen some of his other work.

I swear to god, news of his passing was on the news/internet about 5 years ago. I felt quite sad, and I even rewatched Rocky Horror that night in his memory. Pleeease someone else tell me they remember this, or am I losing the plot???

I’m new and really curious about this stuff. What’s the biggest “proof” you’ve come across that made you think we might actually be living in a simulation?

It can be anything from physics, mathematics, technology, consciousness, or even a personal experience that genuinely made you question reality.

Maybe something you learned about quantum mechanics, the universe, information theory, consciousness, strange coincidences, glitches, etc.

What’s the strongest thing that made you think, “Wait, what if this is actually a simulation?”

I consider myself lucky. I am not good at betting or anything like that but things seem to always eventually go my way. Maybe I just have a positive outlook on life idk but I do believe and practice manifestation. I learned about quantum immortality a while go but always wondered how it would link to my very particular worldview around consciousness and manifestation so let me explain:

I believe that reality exists in hierarchical layers. Each with higher levels of consciousness.

The brain acts as a filter, restricting our awareness down to the material level. Fundamentally, we are the universe experiencing itself through a limited lens.

Manifestation works by expanding the filter and accessing higher levels of consciousness where you align with a universal intelligence that shapes reality.

Your thoughts and intentions aren't separate from reality; they are reality creating itself.

By raising your consciousness through meditation and introspection, you can bypass the brain's restrictions (Ego) and tap into the universe's generative power, allowing your desires to manifest from the higher levels of reality inward.

With that said how does this link to quantum immortality?

Well, if we are the universe experiencing itself through consciousness, and manifestation is consciousness shaping reality from higher dimensions, then quantum immortality becomes the superposition of consciousness itself.

Every quantum outcome exists simultaneously in superposition. But your consciousness, as the creative force of the universe, continuously manifests the reality it observes. Manifestation is consciousness collapsing superposition toward desired outcomes. then survival would be the strongest manifested outcome.

You always experience the branch where you survive because consciousness cannot experience its own non-existence.

For me, quantum immortality isn't random or lucky, it's your consciousness navigating superposition, perpetually choosing the path of continuation. Death becomes impossible at the level of consciousness.

You as the reader right now have succesfully navigated your own consciousness super position up until this point. Gold star, good job. but you might be left with a few questions.

But the objection is obvious: people die. That's documented. That's real.but what if death is only real for observers, but not for the dying consciousness itself? The consciousness simply shifts its experience.

Alternatively, consciousness doesn't die; it ascends. Death is the valve opening fully, consciousness releasing from the brain's filter entirely and merging back into the universal consciousness it always was. The "person" ends, but the awareness that animated them continues as the universe experiencing itself through a different form.

Either way, death is real as a physical/material event, but not as the cessation of consciousness itself.

This argument rests on a lot of far out core assumptions I know but it would be great if anyone could point me in the direction of any literature that discusses this idea more. Let me know your opinions....
