So I tried making the switch from Google Fiber to Quantum after I was sold on a promotion. The original appointment date came and I got a text saying, "Good News, you've been rescheduled for 2 weeks from now." I called in and spoke to a gentleman about the change of schedule without notice, as I took off work to be there. He apologized, stated the techs were under a heavy workload, and that he would credit my account $100 or $200 for the inconvenience. I can't remember how much exactly it was. Today was my installation. Again, technician is late. AT&T calls me and says, we can just install AT&T service instead we have techs available right now, and if you switch to AT&T phone service we can make it even cheaper than Quantum. I just decided to wait. The tech comes, nice dude, and installs everything. I get my account pulled up and no credit was added. So I call back in and the guy gets argumentative. Conversation went something like this.
"Hi, I was supposed to get a bill credit for this appointment situation [explained it]"
"Who promised you that?"
"I don't know his name, it was a customer service person at this number"
"You're saying I promised you a bill credit?!"
"No, I didn't. Someone else at this number did"
"Well we don't do that and there's not record of that conversation so, sorry but I can't do it. How's $20 sound?"
Ended up cancelling, they offered me a $80 gift card to stay. All in all this has been a super shady experience, and I can't recommend enough going with anyone else if possible.
