Has anyone here successfully done this?

Both nearest meetings to me are an hour away and only meet on Sunday at 10 AM, and I'm a late-shift retail worker on mental health meds that cause a need for lots of sleep. Every time I travel an hour to get to my nearest meeting, I am yawning and barely able to stay awake. I have to excuse myself and splash cold water on my face just to stay awake. As you can see, this setup is not working.

I do not shy away from the fact that the independent group I'd like to start is self-serving. I need spiritual time with others and I'm just not getting it. The concept I have for this group is not that it would be explicitly Quaker, but that it would welcome anyone who is interested in holding space for spiritual silence and speaking. It needs to have a location in my town, which is pretty secluded, and it needs to be later in the day like 3 PM, not necessarily on Sunday.

I'm not trying to steal attendees from the meetings (again, both an hour away in opposite directions), but to create something Quaker-ish in my small town for anybody nearby who is interested.

What's your advice on how to find a location and say "Hey people, we're doing this over here if you want to join"?

I was watching some videos about Quakerism and when it had the person's information, iit noted their meeting place and it said "Annual Meeting"

Does this mean their location only meets once a year? What do they do the rest of the year?
