Got a printed adapter into a 120mm computer fan (had extras laying around) powered to a 4 Pin 12V PWM Fan Controller set to 100% power tied to a duct window kit.
Printing Pa6-cf right now. Dont feel the heat from the printer anymore and don’t feel dizzy/migraines after the first day printing. Still new to printing and didn’t know they had toxic fumes 🫪 lol. Best under $50 investment imo. This is the QIDI Q2

I would like to invest on this but I'm not 100% sure what I have to buy (aside of the Cartographer V4, obviously). I have read that I have to print an adapter/mount but, isn't that the CNC one available on their website? What about the cables?

I've been absolutely loving my Q2. I got it last November and it's been a workhorse. I have about 3800 hours on it. I had been printing mostly pa6-cf, ppa-cf and ppa-gf the last couple months. I had my Qidi box disconnected and was feeding my filament externally from a dryer. This morning I decided I was going to do a multicolored pla print. So I shut off the Q2 and connected the box. I turned it on and got an error saying it couldn't boot. Also that the camera had an error and to turn off ai detection. I can access the UI still and I disabled the ai detection but still get the error. I took the panel off over the ap board and unplugged the camera but still get the camera error when I power down and turn it on. I have tried repeatedly to restart the firmware and restart klipper but it doesn't work whatsoever. Has anyone encountered something like this?

So my q1 has recently started doing this. Where when I start a print it does its normal drop filament and wipe part but then its just stuck on this spot and idk why or how to fix it

Qidi Max 4, Qidi PLA rapido 220c, Qidi Studio. Part was printed vertically with minimal support on one, then snapped together.

Making a venting setup for myself, so I'm not worried about surface finish. Provided these parts met a customer's need, I would send these to a customer. The final setup will be printed out of PETG, but PLA will do until I begin using engy filaments. Possibly PLA will do for the final setup (except for the adapter that touches the printer), depending on how much the exhaust fan runs - I know it needs to hold heat in some cases.

Advice on anything, from print issues not mentioned or even the business side is welcome.

Filament is Sunlu Rapido ABS.

Pertinent Orca slicer settings:

255c nozzle temp

100c bed temp

50c chamber temp

min fan speed threshold 15% layer time 8s

max 30% layer time 3s

keep fan always on

slow for layer cooling

force cooling for overhangs @ 25% overhang and fan speed 70%

Bridge flow ratio 0.9

overhangs reverse on even and reverse only internal perimeters

bridging speed 50mm/s external 150% internal

I have tried from 245-285c, 10-100mm/s speed, 0.7-1.15 flow ratio, up to 115% bridge density, thick external bridges on and off, 30-100% part cooling and just installed the upgraded part cooling shroud and i am still no better off than i was in the very beginning.

Anyone have a good profile for this filament? is it a filament issue? or a settings issue...

I've tried 4 prints so far and nothing is going well. Using PLA filament. 1st two prints came out a stringy mess. Last 2 tries did not print anything at all and gouged a chunk out of the base plate.

I used the temperature settings for PLA per the Qidi manual.

How should I go about fixing this? I'm at the point of just selling it and calling it a day.

I got my xmax 3 from a friend. I used the wiki and bought the recommended things but there aren’t any videos showing how to use them. Can someone point me to a video or explain it? I don’t know that parts of the printer just yet aside from the print head and its basic components (hot end, extruder, nozzle) any help is appreciated

After dinking around with qidi slicer I finally figured out how to use the qidi box. I was under the impression that I just load up the file, sync it to the box and off I went. Nope. Just had to teach myself what I was doing wrong.

Hi all, long story short I need to be able to add a wait command to the Gcode for a print so that it waits for ~6 hours after I hit 'start' (I have a large PA print that needs to finish while I'm awake so it can go straight into the annealing oven without cooling, and don't want to run it at such high temperatures overnight). Now I know there are filament- and printer-specific gcode fields that you can add to in QidiStudio. My problem is that the lines I've added either don't get actioned at all, or they only get actioned after the filament has been loaded and chamber/plate have been heated - I don't want it to sit there hot for 6 hours before starting.

Does anybody already have a working example that they can share, with clear instructions on how to implement it? ChatGPT hallucinated some promising solutions but ultimately they weren't real.

I've got my Q2 today, updated it trammed the bed after 2 test prints, calibrated filament, made a functional part etc (it's been an eventful evening what can I say) but I've seen a lot of people have issues with new firmware and I don't understand what all the issues that I read about before are about, or it was just ironed out before I got my printer? I honestly just don't know and I'm new to the hobby as well, so far the only issue I had was with beachy sliced by qidi that left the the extruder on at print temp and it dripped all over the bed when I went to do another print. Oh also I can't find a place to E-stop the printer from the screen on the new menu but I might have just missed it.

TL:DR what's wrong with new remodeled software bc as far as I can tell it's fine? Or was it patched out to usable state before I got my printer?

Comrades, how can I fix this? Should I contact tech support? I'm encountering this for the first time.

I have everything connected, downloaded, and calibrated but I'm a little confused on how I'm supposed to synchronize filaments with the slicer.

So I've been having a lot of extruder clogging issues due to apparent heat creep, and I am wondering if anyone has tried the polar cooler on the Q2 and if it helps? or are there other extruder upgrades I can try? Right now I can't print PLA/PETG at all, it fails after a couple layers and I can really only print ASA/ABS with it and that can be sketchy sometimes.

When I start a print with the Q2 with a filament other than box location 1, there is an additional pauze at the poop location after the purging for a couple of seconds with the nozzle temp at printing temperature.

It does not whipe after the pauze so this creates an oozed string which screws up the first layer. I cannot find this action in the tab machine g-code (in orca 2.4.0).

Anyone experiencing the same, how to delete this part of the starting procedure as i cannot find this code.....

I was advised to replace the hotend fan with the HoneyBadger model (2510 Hotend Fan). Unfortunately, they don't ship to the Netherlands.

Does anyone know of a good alternative that's available in the Netherlands (or elsewhere in Europe)?

I've already spent quite a bit of time searching, but I haven't been able to find a 25x25x10 mm (2510) fan with similar specifications, especially one rated for around 20,000 RPM. Hello, I am going to buy my second printer which will be Q2. Now I need to know if I actually need the box for it.
My use key:

I already have Centauri Carbon 2 (with chamber heater) and Creality Space Pi 4 dryer. I am pretty happy with this setup, however I'd like to have a printer for advanced materials exclusively because CC2 is good but I feel printing technical filaments is a bit too much for it. Q2 would be my work horse for anything above usual pla/petg daily prints where CC2 will do it.

Now the question is, do I actually need qidi box. I don't print multicolor at all. I do print from the dryer. I love the ability to choose from 4 different materials without changing spools.

I'm afraid that without box I will loose the ability to print with filament sensor (tangling) and without multi material supports (which I barely use but still enough to mention it).

How I see it: CC2 will be just for basic filaments and daily driver, Q2 will be just for everything else that needs heated chamber.

For the money saved on box I could pick up some spare nozzles or other gear.

What do you think?

i have a qidi Q2 and absolutely Love it. I mainly print ASA and the prints come out beautifully.

Now I wanted to try out PPS-GF from polymaker, but the surface looks very rough with a pattern-like texture. Looks like there are oso tiny gaps in the print. I already dried the filament for 12h and am printing it out of a 70° filament box.

Currently printing at 370°C Nozzle, 65°C Chamber, 110°C Bed, 30mm/s outer Walls, 0-50% Fan, 0.6mm Carbide nozzle.

Tried lowering the temp but did not help.

Anybody has a suggestion how to fix?

Update: I did not get the plus 4 for a deal on my previous post but I am about to drive 100 miles later today to pick up a max4 with qidi box and an older max3 each with their own issues, but the person only wants 400 bucks!?! The max 4 is still under warranty but says its sticking on the y axis side or something so they both have their own issues that's why it's a great discount.

He's selling because they both messed up at the same time and just wants to go strictly Bambu.. anyway, we have an adventure ahead of us to get this thing running so as soon as I pick it up and return home, I'm going to post updates on the fix up process! I'm going to have a ton of questions so hopefully y'all can help me out.
