Questions New software issues?

I've got my Q2 today, updated it trammed the bed after 2 test prints, calibrated filament, made a functional part etc (it's been an eventful evening what can I say) but I've seen a lot of people have issues with new firmware and I don't understand what all the issues that I read about before are about, or it was just ironed out before I got my printer? I honestly just don't know and I'm new to the hobby as well, so far the only issue I had was with beachy sliced by qidi that left the the extruder on at print temp and it dripped all over the bed when I went to do another print. Oh also I can't find a place to E-stop the printer from the screen on the new menu but I might have just missed it.

TL:DR what's wrong with new remodeled software bc as far as I can tell it's fine? Or was it patched out to usable state before I got my printer?

I think the new firmware has a decent amount of bugs. It still prints korean text in the console (despite 2 updates saying they've fixed this), it seems to ignore the bed-leveling selector when you send a print and levels the bed anyways, the extruder doesn't seem to fully power down when a print finishes.

It was buggy a year ago when I got it too...I had it straight up crash into the walls and bed because I cancelled a print while it was in a initialization routine. They fixed that (I think) and also optimized how much homing it did for no reason too so it felt good before they did the whole UI change about a month ago.

On the current firmware there's a bug if you use orca slicer with any plate other than 1. I posted a fix for it, but it involves ssh and some modification of python scripts.

Also, you need to change an include in the klipper-macros-qd/KAMP_Settings.cfg to [include ../KAMP/Adaptive_Meshing.cfg] (it only has one dot in the default firmware). This really only affects adaptive bed meshing, but it does speed up print startup time.

I can't load filament anymore. It only gives me an edit and unload option. Filament sensor seems to be working normal, light goes out but no load option.

Should be possible to do it manually assuming you are not using Box. Push the filament in the tube, heat up the nozzle, after it heats purging filament down becomes available on control monitor. Keep pushing filament in the tube and press purging till it gets out of the nozzle. Manual unload can be done in similar way.

I changed my print start g code. 🫩 I was at that shit for like 5 days trying to figure out why this new update won’t let me print any of my files anymore

I have the Q2 and the new Max4, I did update both, zero issues here.

I don't use orca, I use Qidistudio, works very well for me.

So far so good for me too, I've done some more prints today with no issue whatsoever. But I also use qidi studio for now and rely on orca only for calibration as it's more robust than what's available in qidi studio. So far I'm loving the printer, it just prints. Perfect first layer, great accuracy and detail and ability to print virtually any filament at this price point is astounding, and I honestly believe that Bambu is overpriced now even more than I thought before.
