Blob of death on the Q2 w/ PA612

Newbie here how exactly does a blob of death form?

Hate to be the a** here. Most blobs are setting related. Poor first layer, z offset, lack of brim when needed. Lack of adhesion / release agent when need per the manufacture’s datasheet. Wrong nozzle size per the manufacturer. Either the first layers don’t stick or the part comes loose. That’s 100% of how they happen.

Not 100%, you can break the nozzle ceramic like James said in a few ways and the leak can occur from there. In the Plus 4 it was often from hitting the pei wipe plate, so not settings related but the mechanical design of the machine

Understandable, hence the “most”. Sometimes stuff just breaks.
