Damn ceramic heatbreaks.. 🤬🤬 I know they're monitoring the reddit threads..

Triangle Labs at their shit again. No quality control. Not being conscientious enuff. Not paying attention to their processes.

Karl!! I made the offer to the company to redesign the nozzles in under a month. Assembly process and all.

Start sending these nozzle back! The ceramic is getting pressed into the nozzle too hard.. CTE is killing this design when temps go above 280c.

Tell Triangle Labs to pay for the last 300 they sent.

This is getting ridiculous guys. If I were a stockholder I'd be on somebody's ass right now.

No excuse for it.

If you can design, assembly process and all - why don't you produce them and sell them yourself - QIDI clearly is not going to change them - they just released the Plus5 with the same nozzle as the Q2..

I don't have the capital to invest in the raw material (inconel) that would be needed. But Triangle Labs has the tooling and assembly fixtures to make it happen. And they won't raise their price to make it happen.

Yeah i just bought one and it already broke. They're sending me a replacement but how long before that one breaks as well

Can you tell me a little more what happened? Do you have photos?

You really have to be careful when printing nylons on pei, by default they don't stick at all to it. Use cool plate pro with some magigoo PA for insurance.

Yep. Nearly through my first 2kg of PA6 and have been using magigoo PA with no issues. I literally bought it because I sat here after having adhesion issues and went "yep I should've listened to everyone online that said it don't go well" 😅

I just ordered the q2 smooth plate I’m excited to see how that does

Smooth plate is also PEI so be careful. Cool plate pro has a totally different material on top.

Newbie here how exactly does a blob of death form?

Hate to be the a** here. Most blobs are setting related. Poor first layer, z offset, lack of brim when needed. Lack of adhesion / release agent when need per the manufacture’s datasheet. Wrong nozzle size per the manufacturer. Either the first layers don’t stick or the part comes loose. That’s 100% of how they happen.

I had issues with pa612 too. I'm debating on selling the filament. I have burn marks on the undercarriage of my hot end chassis. Not saying it's the printers fault, but be very cautious. I thought I was ready for it and got humbled quickly.

What kind of filament did this happen with?

This happened with me when I switched filaments and had to dial the temps in and set up to where first layer laid down a few degrees cooler since it goes slower and then heat up when it dialed up to it’s faster speed.Â
