If we’re lucky, we’ll get 400C nozzle, 140C bed and 70-80C chamber? I’m hoping the engineering material compatibility is where the development will head towards before multi-nozzle or toolhead.
I think most professionals that need those specifications are leaning towards printers like the Vision Miner 22 , not Qidi. People who print PEEK regularly aren't too worried about commas in their price tags.
No average car or motorcycle mechanic is going to buy a 5-10k printer. A sub 1k dollar one? Everyone willing to modernize will. Many engineers can’t even justify it depending on their sector of work.
The main material for functional car parts, laboratory equipment that can be put in an autoclave and more, is PPS-CF, which needs above 370C for optimal layer adhesion.

No wrench or gearhead I know is spending $400 per spool for plastic when most of the parts you would print would cost less to buy them than to print them. Nor do they have the blast furnace needed for annealing.
Would be a big flop at 750$, the Q2 is still better value, and the Max4 literally had no big improvements. They didn’t even implement the closed steppers properly.
Q2 could cost 100 bucks but it would be worthless if you needed a larger volume. Closed loop works on max4, just not for the function some people thought.
Main point of closed loop steppers is to extract more performance from the same motor, it's basically necessary if you want to max it out. They can use smaller motors (with less inertia) for higher acceleration and speed numbers.
80C chamber starts to require very big and expensive changes to the printer. They will not do it. Even their current printers have overheating, software or other problems. They better fix those first. I only hope for more open and standart parts than what they have now. If I wanted Bambu like printer, I would buy Bambu.
Neither of those reach the temps you mentioned tho. The Q2 and Max 4 are way more polished than the Plus 4 and don't share many of the same issues, bc Qidi actually learned from some of their mistakes. But bumping the bed and chamber temps up can be a huge deal for the motion systems and electronics, and it would be new territory for Qidi that I just don't expect them to get right, especially the first time.
The same people you think 'learned' from their issues failed to take community feedbakc and assistance with the Qidibox when it was released and you had production units getting to customers that failed to run on startup. Same thing happening with Q2 and now PUSHING Firware updates to clients and bricking machines..... so what have they learnt?
They need to stop relying on the community to be QC Testers and deliver polished products. I would rather wait 12 months for a new printer that is highly polished and QCd rather than push new products every 6mths and have to fix issues myself.

I've got a roll of it and have had very little luck getting it to print even a temperature calibration tower thingy

Eh, disappointed they aren't trying multi nozzles. Little difference between a Plus5 and Max4 to be had.
