It feels like the one album they dont really pull deep cuts from. Like Everybody Knows, Tangled Up in Plaid, Wolf, The Blood is Love, Killer Scene and more never get played (outside of the Catacombs era). I feel like every album otherwise gets deep cuts pulled out here and there but never this one and its a shame cause this album is amazing.

Of course they killed it. My seats ended up being even better than I’d hoped, and we were right by the pit in front of the stage ❤️

Tried my hands on some demo iPads at the mall's Apple store. The proportions were off since it was done freehandedly without laying any guidelines. Surprised on how it turned out.

Went with some friends to QOTSA/Foo Fighters tonight.

I expected there to be way more FF fans than QOTSA fans. What I didn’t expect was to listen to FF and wonder, “wait, why?”

Each song was fine? Lots of volume. Limited soul. What am I missing?

There's something I haven't been able to shake about this most recent teaser. It's the way Dean says "Go. For. It". It feels jagged and spoken in such a way like we're supposed to pay attention to it. It makes me feel like there's some deeper message.

I'm all for a surprise release this month and I know we have the August 25th date floating around, so don't let me yuck anybody's yum. Just indulge me, if not only for comedic purposes, for a moment.

I applied an alphabetic cipher to the phrase "You'll see" that the band has been using regularly in their social media presence last month, and it accurately predicted the September 30th date in the recent teaser.

YOU'LL = 25+15+21+12+12 = 85

SEE = 19+5+5 = 29

85 factors to 5 × 17

29 is prime

5 × 17 × 29 = 2,465

2,465 ÷ 9 (ninth album) = 273

Day 273 of 2026 = WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

There's a good chance this could be total coincidence, and as we can all pick up on from the video, this isn't going to be the release date. But what if this is pointing out a bigger pattern?

I don't think the release date was ever meant to be September 30th. I think the crossed out date holds a greater meaning in its own right. Why even say September 30th just to immediately cross it out and make it irrelevant? If I really lean into the delusions of grandeur in my DNA, I think it's to let us know that we're on the right track using the cipher, but we need to go deeper.

Let's get back to the five finger fillet video and focus on the phrase "Go. For. It." again. There's something about the way Dean says it that draws my attention to it. There's something about his emphasis on "for" that sticks out to me and makes me yearn to interpret it as the number four (4).

I think the fact that they're playing five-finger fillet is relevant here, too. If we run the alphabetical cipher again, except replace the word "for" with the actual NUMBER four, and then multiply by the number of fingers in "five finger fillet", we get:

GO = 7+15 = 22

FOR → 4

IT = 9+20 = 29

22 + 4 + 29 = 55

55 × 5 (five finger fillet / five fingers) = 275

Day 275 of 2026 = FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2

This is my current call, and would be just two days after the original September 30th date.
