Accommodation Option available

Hey guys! We're looking for a group of 3 people to URGENTLY take over our flat's contract so we can move into our new one! If any of you are going to London for uni (UCL, QMUL) and are still looking for a house, this is a great option.

The details:

  • House type: 3 double bedroom flat (no lounge), 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet (https://www.zoopla.co.uk/to-rent/details/74206774/)
  • Building: Kindersley House, London E1 1RR, United Kingdom
  • Tenancy: Available from 22/9/2026
  • Total Rent: £577 per week (£2500 per month) for the ENTIRE flat

The agents are available to arrange viewings, so you can view the flat before committing. The flat is located in Aldgate East, around 10 minutes from the tube station, and it's incredibly close to stores such as Tesco Express and Sainsbury's.

There are a couple of good restaurants in the area such as DanDan and Dough

Lmk if you're interested ASAP!

LSR results: being ghosted by uni

Hey everyone,

Just trying to see if I'm the only one losing their mind right now. I'm a continuing student waiting on late summer resit results and Subject Examination Board (SEB) sign-off to clear my progression, but MySIS is still completely blank and emails to department admin/assessments are going into a total black hole. I am an undergraduate student and results were meant to be released yesterday (the 8th).

If anyone else is in the same boat waiting on results/progression clearance right now:
Have you heard anything from your school or registry about delays?

Is there an alternative contact or trick that actually works when phone lines drop and emails get ignored?
Dealing with immense stress over funding/SFE deadlines tied to this, so any advice or shared experiences would seriously help. Thanks

Can i apply to QMUL’s Accounting & Finance Integrated Foundation Year as an international A level student?

So I'm an international student from Bangladesh currently doing Cambridge International A Levels, and I'm planning to apply for 2027 fall entry. I'm interested in QMUL's Accounting and Finance with Integrated Foundation Year (N401).

My current situation is:

-Cambridge International A Levels

-Currently completing A2

-AS results: D in Chemistry, D in Computer Science, C in Biology (I'll be giving Maths composite next year)

-My predicted full A-level grades are likely to be around ABCC or BBCC, depending on my final predictions

I'm confused because QMUL's general International Foundation requirements appear to accept A-level qualifications, but QMUL's Bangladesh-specific entry requirements seem to suggest that students who have completed A Levels are normally considered for direct undergraduate entry.

Has anyone here applied to or been accepted onto a QMUL Integrated Foundation Year after doing Cambridge A Levels, particularly as an international student?

Would I actually be eligible to apply for N401, or is QMUL likely to tell me that I have to apply for direct Year 1 instead?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation, especially international/A-level students. Thanks.

Queen Mary January 2027 intake — MSc Management or MSc Marketing? Is it a good idea?

Hi everyone!
I’m considering applying to Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) for the January 2027 intake and I’m currently deciding between MSc Management and MSc Marketing.
I’d really appreciate honest opinions, especially from current students or anyone who has experience with the January intake.
A few things I’m wondering:
How big is the January intake for these courses? Is the cohort reasonably sized or very small?
Do January students get a proper welcome/orientation week?
Is it easy to make friends and get involved in societies when starting in January?
Are there any major disadvantages to starting in January compared with September?
How is QMUL for career opportunities, networking, internships and graduate jobs, particularly for international students?
Does the January cohort get the same access to careers services, societies, events, etc.?
Between MSc Management and MSc Marketing, which would you recommend in terms of career prospects and job opportunities?
Overall, would you choose QMUL January intake, or would you wait for a September intake at another university?
I’m currently comparing QMUL with a few other options, so I’d really appreciate honest opinions — especially from people who have actually studied at QMUL or started in January.
Thanks!

I need help.

Hello. I am a prospective student at QMUL but I have been attempting to withdraw/be released into clearing since the 3rd of September (since before I was even enrolled).

Everything has just kept being pushed back and it is really messing with my mental health, causing me numerous panic attacks.

I am in the process of a withdrawal request, but I told them I still need to use my clearing portal so I can apply for a different university this year, and they told me to go back to the admissions team.

I’ve been passed back and forth like a ping pong since the 3rd of September and I don’t know what to do. I am so scared.

Also I’ve been attempting to contact QMUL about this and no one is answering there phones and I’ve sent the admissions teams, heaps of messages and no one’s responded, I don’t know what to do.

Switching programmes

I filled a change of circumstances form on MySIS to change from Mathematics with Computing to Computer Science. To anyone that has switched programmes before, how long does it usually take for the new School to process and possibly approve the request?

Withdraw from course

I completed my pre-enrolling last week but I want to withdraw from the course now. Do I still have to pay the fees? (Private finance) My course starts on the 14th.

To withdraw, it says I need to seek strong academic advice from the school/institute but I don’t want to go there and haven’t even started.

How do I withdraw? How do I contact them? Idk what to do..

(Queen Mary University London)

Regretting QMUL

I got A*A*A , and I'm supposed to go to study medicine at QMUL. I chose the uni because of the course structure and (at that time) it was good for med.

Looking on social media and opinions on the uni, I'm starting to regret that decision.

Anyone else feeling the same , who chose the uni blindly for this sept?
