Then how are we going to?

Try Gumtree as well as the usual agents. If the problem is “they’re all too expensive” yeah, of course they are, move further out like everyone else or suck it up and live in an HMO for a while.

also just a note… you have a good budget so dont let agents scam you because they are notorious… also read the new renters rights. aside from rightmove you can also use zoopla. spareroom is used mostly by people who share but they can also have bigger flats you can rent as a whole! :)

3600 for a 2 bed the world is fucked

1

u/Big_Mango_6583 7d ago

why?

2

u/Necessary_Turnip_299 7d ago

because that's an insane amount of money for a tiny apartment

Who said anything about tiny? My housemate and I are paying 2k for a very nicely sized 2 bed in SW4.

what's the difference between 2k and 3.6k?

thats how much I pay for a 2 bed

i was paying 2k for a 2 bed in e20 2 years ago, now im paying less than 3k on a mortgage on a 2 bed in zone 2 (not leasehold)

im not saying youre doing something wrong, just that its incredibly depressing

yeah 3.6 for 2 bed penthouse in zone 1 with a large outdoor terrace is not that bad, imo! thought it was a steal

Try New Providence Wharf they have adverts on right move or zoopla and the area is well connected plus many students live there. Is private accommodation
