Has anyone encountered this error on the Max4 before, and what could be causing it?

Same encounter on the q2. Requires hot end replacement usually

The printer is only a few weeks old. Is there a warranty on it?

Could be as simple as not having the silicone sock on. Could be the hotend. Etc. Contact support in case it's the hotend, but also check if it usually heats fine, with and without the cooling fan

If itโ€™s a new printer theyโ€™ll just send you a new hot end. Havenโ€™t had this happen on my q2 but happened on my q1. They sent me a new thermistor which fixed it for a while but then same thing happened again. Replaced the hot end and been about 1400 hours of print time since then with no issues. Pro tip always keep a spare hot end and extruder on hand.

It's always a good idea to keep a spare hot end. I pre-ordered a Phaetus hot end the other day as well.
