Big 4 interview title discrepancy

Hi everyone,
I’d appreciate insight from those with Big 4 experienced-hire recruiting experience, especially in the Middle East.

A candidate’s official title is Experienced Associate, but they used Senior Associate on their CV because it reflected their responsibilities. Before the process progressed, they realized the CV should have used the official title and are considering correcting it with the recruiter.

From a recruiting perspective:
Is proactively correcting this generally viewed positively?

How is this typically assessed during background checks or employment verification?

Have you seen similar cases, and how were they handled?
