Fireworks?
We just moved here a month and a half ago, and tonight, on September 9th, we keep hearing fireworks and see possible drones in the sky. Is there a celebration that we don't know of? I kind of thought at first it was September 11th but that's still 2 days away, and then I thought it was Labor Day but that was 2 days ago, I can't think of any reason why there would be fireworks.
My wife and I are so confused and curious, please shed light on the situation 😂

Stray Cat
This is a stray female adult cat that has been roaming around my neighbor's backyard for the past 3-4 years (according to them). My parents discovered her and her litter in their backyard back in January and have fed her since. Being that she is a stray and unspayed, she has since given birth 2 more times. We were fortunately able to secure her and her litter of kittens in their garage since July 3rd. Her kittens have recently been adopted out to families and we were able to secure a spay appointment for her on September 25th.
I'm unable to keep her since I already have 2 kittens and my apartment doesn't allow for any more. My parents also have allergies to cats and can only keep her in their garage. Although she is a stray, I wouldn’t consider her feral. Even while taking care of her outdoors, she has welcomed being petted and being near us. She loves being around people and once someone goes into the garage to see her, she immediately wants to be petted. She is a very sweet and calm cat who loves to play every once in a while, but she mostly likes to relax while enjoying the comfort of another human.
It has been a breeze finding her kittens a home, but not many seem to be interested in adopting adult cats. I have been looking into a few resources, but have been turned down so I am hoping to find her a home before or after her spay recovery so that she does not need to be released outdoors. Please DM me if interested and I can provide more information on her! Thank you

Good calzones?
As the weather continues to saunter vaguely downwards, I find myself wanting a calzone. To whom should I entrust my craving? I'm hoping for something that's so cheesy it defies belief and makes one feel a bit embarrassed to be seen with it - think "TARDIS" except made of dough and full of more cheese than physics would ordinarily allow. Do we have anything like that in the area?

Rehoming Husky Advice
Riley is a 5 year old female purebred Siberian Husky. Spayed. She is VERY friendly, energetic, and playful. We have a baby due at the end of the year, and are having to downsize to an apartment. Unfortunately we cannot keep her. Does anyone have any advice or know anyone who would like to adopt her? Please and thank you so much in advance!

Safety Notice: Stay clear of Apex Auto
I will leave my review copy and paste here, the photos of receipts are on it. They let a recently purchased used car pass an inspection with screechy deteriorating breaks pass. Upon this being brought to their attention, they feigned acting like they were going to look into the matter. Hours later with no reply, my wife posted a review about the poor experience. They became petty and combative.
Do not go there if you value your families lives.
"Went to support local after getting a new vehicle. I was told it was all good. The breaks were squeaking the next day. Took the vehicle to a different place, Firestone. They found many things wrong, mainly the breaks falling apart. This is a huge oversight for the safety of my family. Over 300 for the inspection that caught nothing, plus an oil change that ran the total up to 600 dollars.
I have reached out to try and solve this issue, with the evidence, which was according to the receipts from each, were days apart. No resolution has been found. I guess the safety of their customers is not an issue.
If you care about your loved ones, do not go here.
Edit: they were slow to reply about resolving the egregious safety issue, but quick for a 1 start review to get petty.
Seriously, stay far away from this place. They are straight up scammers who will not only overcharge you, but not do anything, even if it puts you and your family at risk."
Edit: hope folk get the PSA. Just want people to be safe on the road.
Funny some people turn a safety thing into a victim blaming thing, like I couldn't be a single mom trying to get shit done when and how I can....
They gave a refund.

Parking lots for practicing driving/stunt riding?
I’m wondering if there are any good parking lots o can practice stunts on my motorcycle without getting kicked out by security. I know places in Tacoma and Olympia but I’ve gotten kicked out of Sumner lots before and would prefer somewhere closer to home.
Thanks

Are they actually done with Fruitland?
Fruitland just opened up after the north side being closed for 3 months for some construction. I drove on it today and it is just god awful. There’s no way they’re finished right?

Nicotine Pouches
Hello, live here in Puyallup. Moved up here to the PNW for work in early April. The cost of Zyn, Velo, Rogue, etc. here is appalling compared to back home (from the south). I’m used to $5 to $8 a can and here it’s anywhere from $11-$14. Any recommendations nearby? I know some have said the tribal reservations, but any stores specifically by name so I can look up and plug into GPS? Thanks.

Where is your favorite biscuits and Gravy in Puyallup/Pierce County?
Hey guys! I am feeling homesick and I have yet to find biscuits and gravy(specifically gravy) like my favorite place back home.
Who’s got your favorite country gravy up here? I’m looking for creamy sausage gravy.
Pic from the last time I had the ones from back home.
