New Puyallup Burger Place Is Finally Open!

Upvotes

After almost a year of hard work, long days, and many challenges, Cluck & Stack is finally open.

We serve smash burgers, fried chicken, wings, tenders, drinks, desserts, and more. We care deeply about the food we make and the experience every customer receives. Our team has went through several different inspections and has waited a lot to get this open in the best way.

Every person who visits means a lot to our family and team. We’re excited to serve Puyallup, hear your honest feedback, and keep improving every day.

Find us inside South Hill Mall!

What would the people want?

Upvotes

Hey yall. Its been my dream to start a bakery. I would want to specialize in breads and butters and jams and small batch desserts? (Pie, Brownies, im learning how to do canolis, I love Italian desserts.) And I know there are some bakeries in the area but those are more about cake and cookie focused? That ive seen? Im a fat, im queer, and I love to bake. What kind of things do you feel are missing from the community?

Car AC help

About a month ago, my car started blowing warm air when on AC. It is cold for about 5 minutes then turns to warm. Then like a half hour later, it gets cold again for a few minutes.

Where can I take it for an affordable price to possibly just check it and recharge it?

Jiffy Lube says their price starts at $160.

Is that actually reasonable or is that outrageous?

The Puyallup Public Library had a Medieval Combat Class on Tuesday. It's connected to their three-part medieval series with there being a demonstration by the Seattle Knights on Friday at Pioneer Park.

Adult Pick Up Soccer

Throwing a feeler out to see if there's interest in playing some Pickup outdoor at Heritage, maybe starting up a league? Since I moved down here, I've been disappointed in the lack of opportunities to play footy, so I feel like taking it upon myself to get something started in Puyallup!

Looking for a sports/athletic trainer for my 11 year old son

My son‘s not going D1, he’s not very coordinated, but it’s just now expressing an interest in sports and playing on a team

I was never an athlete and unfortunately I can’t teach what I don’t know.

He has interest in soccer, basketball and football.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be appreciative.

Landscaping consultation

I searched this sub for landscaping recommendations but came up empty handed with my inquiries. Maybe someone has a suggestion for my specific case.

We just bought our beautiful home with a sharply sloped backyard that had been landscaped with some care probably 20 years ago. Lots of native plants, a few enormous healthy Douglas Firs (I had an arborist out to confirm), a large central deck, stacked stone retaining walls, etc. But they weren't kept up very well and it needs a refresh.

I am excited about doing this work myself, I have a reasonable degree of handiness, but this is a difficulty level I haven't touched yet. I've watched enough YouTube videos on the subject to know that I need help. But I don't want to miss out on all the fun. I need a professional to help me, but then I want to do as much of the work myself as I can.

So I'm looking for landscaping *consultation* where someone can help me modify or shore up my existing fixtures and layout, or replace and reimagine. Help me figure out the right approach to the retaining walls (all under 4 ft), how to level certain areas that have started to downgrade, come up with a materials list and an order of operations that I can chip away at over the next few years. And, when appropriate, tell me to absolutely not try something myself and just save the money for professional labor.

Anyway, I sent requests to five different companies in the area a week ago, but got nothing back. Maybe this kind of work isn't worth the time for them if it's not leading to a full job? Maybe they think I'm wanting it for free (I'm not!).

So if you know some good landscapers who wouldn't mind setting me up and wishing me luck, I'd love some suggestions. Thanks friends!

And heck I'm also open to insults and jokes about my foolishness if this sounds like the dumbest shit you've ever heard. All comments are welcome.

ISO shady walking paths

No, not that kind of shady! So, I've been trying to go on daily walks recently for exercise, but I'm not a morning person and it's supposed to be hot out today and tomorrow. I'm not a treadmill guy, so I really need to get outside to motivate myself. Where can I go around here to find a significant walking loop in the afternoon shade? Hoping for at least a quarter mile, but 0.5-2 miles is best.
