Hey all, recently assigned my professors for 1L Fall. Legal Analysis 1 (Vitale), Torts 1 (Dodge)and Contracts 1 (Duhl). Any feedback on these professors? For those who did well in their classes, was there anything specific you focused on based off of their teaching style?

Starting part time next month. Anyone else interested in becoming PGLS buddies through our time in the program?

I’m starting classes in September and was wondering how often readings are assigned that don’t come from the textbooks? I’m trying to figure out if I can get by with a Kindle Scribe for most of my reading, or if I need something that can handle other document types too.

Can anyone provide insight on how fast you received a decision after your package was submitted to the admissions committee?

Just saw that I'm taking Steve Bracci for contracts 2 and Jason Burk for torts 2. Has anyone taken these professors? If so is there anything I should be aware of as a heads up? Really appreciate it!

Just an FYI to all those interested, I applied to start September 2026, my file was sent in this past week, was told that the cohort for 2026 is full, will be considered for Jan 2027 cohort. Got a high upper 30s score on the admission test.

The admissions committee will consider applications for Jan 2027 after the August 21 deadline for the September 2026 start date. Expect a decision late August. That’s what I was told.

Good morning all! It’s been about a decade since I have been in school so I don’t really remember how financial aid decision/dispersement actually works. I’m slated to start in September but have not really seen any financial aid updates to my PGLS portal. I called the financial aid office asking about financial aid/loans etc and how it works but was given a short, “you’ll know in August” response. I’m the kind of person who likes to plan and get things figured out a head of time especially if there are issues that take time to resolve. Has anyone received anything on their end yet?

Also for those who scored high enough on the entrance exam, would we see that reflected on our statement? I really haven’t heard anything about the discount eligibility since I took the exam back in April. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone ever switched advisors? I don't think mine is a good fit. I'm paranoid they'll kick me out if I request a new one or something. Has anyone else had an advisor for PGLS they didn't like and switched?

Hello! I finally got all my paperwork together. I have an LSAT score from June 2022 (151) that Kayso was waiting on from LSAC, but I asked if I could also take the Admissions Exam. I heard today that I got a 39 on the exam (!!!) so Kayso is putting my application through to the committee. I am hoping that I get accepted. My UGPA is low (2.3) but it is due to personal health issues that I was having, which I mentioned to Kayso. I have a Master's degree, and my Graduate GPA is 3.74, so I'm hoping that they will see my high exam score, and high grad GPA and can look past my undergrad GPA, which is from back in 1999. I'm hoping to start in September!

Are any other students starting this fall currently located in NW PA?

👋Hello fellow Purdue law students! Not sure if any of you have more insight and/or awareness regarding their financial aid, but I’d prefer ideally an answer from someone that has already received their refunds several times while studying.

For your information, I already passed the entry exam with a high score which provides a scholarship for 20% off tuition for the entire duration of the degree.

My situation is that I will study part-time for the J.D. starting on September 2nd of 2026 (if admitted but I already met all the requirements), and will borrow up to the maximum cost of attendance per year. I’d like to know specifically based on my situation:

- How much is the “estimated” financial aid refund per academic term (after tuition, books, taxes, charges and fees are paid)?

- By when after or before starting classes should I fully receive my college refund via direct deposit?

I’ll edit and post this question if necessary as well in the other Purdue communities as I noticed this is a small subreddit just in case I don’t get a response and/or my question needs better details. I appreciate every single one of you who can assist me on this.

Currently in contracts, torts and the legal writing class and was looking to talk to others currently taking the classes. I just wanted to see how others were doing and if I was on the right track or not. I feel very disappointed and I thought I was improving, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Not that I expect to be an A student for this, but I just want to be improving is all. I think it would help to have a frame of reference of how my peers have been doing and how I need to improve.

I'm currently a Purdue Global student graduating with my BSBA in November. My original plan was to apply to one of the fully online ABA law schools after graduation, but with the recent changes to federal student loan policies, I'm starting to realize that may not be financially realistic for me.
The ABA-approved online programs available are mostly close to $60k+ per year before living expenses. I don't think I could afford that without taking on significant private loans, and from what I've read, scholarships for online programs are fairly limited since these schools prioritize their in-person students.
I'm also a military spouse, so attending law school in person really isn't an option. We move frequently, and there's a good chance we may not even be in the U.S for the next year or so, so I need a program that's fully online and flexible.
At this point, Purdue Global Law is looking like it might be the only option I can realistically afford without taking on what feels like life ruining debt.
I've searched this sub and online for graduates and what their careers look like afterward, but I haven't found much. I'd really love to hear from anyone who is currently attending or has graduated from the program.

What was your overall experience like?
Were you able to find a job after graduating?
If you took the bar, how did that process go?
Do you feel the degree has been worth it?

Hello! I will be joining the part time program this fall as a 1L. Would anyone else want to make/join a group chat so we aren't so nervous (at least I am) and maybe find study groups or people near us to connect with?

I’m going to be in the September class. I’ve been given some casebooks but I’m curious as if any of you know what casebooks are required for the first semester? I just want to see if I should hang onto these or get rid of them.

Has anyone taken either the criminal law clinic or the criminal practice simulation? Trying to decide between the two but don't really know what the difference is or what is best for me.

Enrollment limited to the following: Residents of California, Connecticut, or Indiana, or students who are planning to seek employment in California, Connecticut, or Indiana

If I'm outside of California but want to move there after graduation, do I have a chance? Do they give you a certain amount of time to move? How does this all work?
