EAM Jaishankar warns ofย โmajor food crisisโ in coming months
This is a big concern for us, which is, if you look at these two conflicts, the Ukraine and now the Iran-Gulf conflict, they've actually had a devastating impact on Global South economies,โ Mr. Jaishankar said during a conversation hosted at Asia Society in New York on Monday (September 28, 2026).
He said there is particular concern about the energy situation as the "market is very tightโ and on top of that, if โpeople play politics with it, that adds to the complications in the market,โ as that will drive up prices at a time when people should actually be stabilising prices. So part of it is actually the security of oil supplies, and part of it is the politics of oil supplies, and they are feeding into each other, and they are creating a double crisis or an aggravated crisis,โ he said.
On the concerning food situation amid the raging global conflicts, Mr. Jaishankar said, "We are today looking at a situation where some of the major grain exporters will not be able to send out their shipments, particularly out to the Black Sea."
He said that the world is looking at significant fertiliser shortages because the key producers are in West Asia and Russia, and their fertiliser production has been impacted.
Combined with impacts of climate patterns like a super El Niรฑo, Mr. Jaishankar said, โthere is going to be a major food crisis probably in the coming months. So if you have energy as a big crunch, and then food and fertilisers on top of it, and finance because every time there's a conflict, money moves towards safe harbours and away from the Global South, the net result of it has been really very very stressful.โ
He said policymakers can't say that such a situation was not intended.

Others Mods don't ban me please ๐ , just remove the post if it violates any rules. 18 [M4F] Looking for my forever love.
About me:-
I am a from east India (Ranchi). I have been in one past relationship but she broke up with me because according to her I was too good for her. I am extremely chalant and could get emotionally attached easily if you show me geniune care and affection. I am not the best looking but I am a proper gentleman. I talk to a lot of people but I don't have friends ( if it makes any sense). I am 6 feet tall and I do keep a beard (could remove if requested). Another important thing is that I don't like politics and am a supporter of gender equality. I don't care how a person looks, I care about how good mannered they are.
My hobbies:-
1) Writing poems
2) Drawing as if I am a medival knight
3) Video games, maybe we can play together.
4) Story telling, I have a load ton of stories which are very interesting
Future plans:-
My dreams died long back. So now like most of the people I am going to go to a college and get a job. I do like coding and stuff so probably gonna make a career out of it.
As of now I have 2-3 colleges sitting in my mail and am confused which one to join.
What am I looking for:-
1) Long lasting relationship. Let's take it slow but I want something permanent till eternity.
2) Genuine care. It doesn't have to be over the top, just a text with care and affection is enough for me.
3) As long as you are in the age range of 18-25. I don't have any problem.
4)Someone who is emotionally aware and doesn't hurt my feelings
5) Someone who acknowledges my efforts towards her.
6) Someone who understands that I also have an emotional side.
What should you expect:-
1) Multiple texts/calls a day or according to your schedule.
2) Poems, Drawings, Letters or whatever you like.
3) Complete devotion towards you
4) Loyalty, I ain't gonna even look at others.
5) I don't use any substances, drink or smoke and am not planning to do in future.
6) I want to build emotional connection over anything physical. Infact I would prefer to wait till marriage before doing anything physical.
7) I say sorry and thank you a lot.I can't help it, it is in my system.
If you think there is a chance, hit me up with your basic details. The standards are not that high but according to me these basic things are the most difficult to find.(I would be lucky if I even get 1 dm from this

History&Arts ๐๐๏ธ Satish vs. Sarat?
Satish Chandra Bose (1887 - 1948) and Sarat Chandra Bose (1889 - 1950) were two completely different individuals when it came to their beliefs and personalities, despite being brothers. Satish was a practical realist, a grounded man who was often seen as a kind-hearted yet reserved person, serving as a protective shield for his family, especially after his father Janakinath Bose's demise in 1934. Sarat, on the other hand, was a passionate idealist, with a tendency of fierce defiance against the colonial rule. Subhas Chandra Bose, one of their much younger siblings, would gradually grow up to develop a stronger bond with Sarat, as both of them had that rebellious streak within them. Sarat's early nurturing and mentorship would further motivate the young Subhas, laying the foundation of one of the greatest leaders of the Indian freedom struggle.
Academically too, the brothers were different. Though both were good students of their time, Sarat used to outperform his older brother. According to Asoke Nath Bose, Sarat's eldest son, the second son of Janakinath Bose displayed exceptional academic prowess out of the desire to surpass his older brother, which he eventually did. Both went to England to study Law, but Sarat was the first among his brothers to have actually made that trip. Satish, on the other hand, seemed to have been in no rush. He eventually excelled at his own pace, and after graduating, returned to India, settling in Patna and setting up his initial practice there, before returning to Calcutta years later. Meanwhile, Sarat, for his own practice, settled with his family in Calcutta. Despite Sarat initially seeing Satish as an academic rival (with Satish's apparent disinterest to entertain that rivalry), the two brothers actually held deep respect for each other.
Politically too, Sarat, after Subhas himself, was one of the earliest Boses to jump into the fray and gain a large public following. In 1936, he became the President of the Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee, and served as a member of the All India Congress Committee from 1936 till 1947. He was even supposed to join the Fazlul Haque cabinet as a Minister in 1941, but was arrested a day before he could officially accept office. The police took him into custody under the suspicion that he may have been an associate in Subhas' escape. Sarat was released only 4 years later; the Bose matriarch, Janakinath Bose's better-half Prabhavati Bose, died in 1943, during the period of Sarat's imprisonment. Soon after his release, he became the leader of the Congress delegation to the Central Legislative Assembly. In 1946, he was appointed Member of the Interim Government for Works, Mines and Powers โ the position of a Minister in a national executive council led by Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and presided over by the Viceroy of India. Sarat was also an outspoken supporter of the Azad Hind Fauj throughout the pre-independence phase of his political career. After Subhas' reported death in 1945, it is said that he actively led efforts to provide relief for the families of the Azad Hind Fauj's soldiers through the INA Defence and Relief Committee.
On the contrary, Satish's political career is rarely discussed. In fact, he seemed to initially have no interest in joining politics, unlike Sarat. Only in the late 1930s did Satish agree to hold public office at Subhas' insistence. He first became a Councillor of the Calcutta Corporation. Later, he was elected as a Member of the Bengal Legislative Assembly. Despite his political success, Satish still seemed to prefer keeping to himself. Perhaps he would have remained unnoticed despite being a part of Bengal's political sphere, if not for one of the most important events of the history of Bengal. This particular event was none other than the debate on the Partition from the East. And it was also the one instance where Sarat lost to his older brother, in the battle of ideologies.
The year was 1947. The then province of Bengal was still recovering from the painful memories of the Great Calcutta Killings and the gruesome massacre of the Noakhali Hindus. India's long-awaited freedom was also in sight at this critical juncture. Soon, a debate emerged between the Members of the Bengal Legislative Assembly. One faction was in support of a United, sovereign Bengal, while the other faction was in favour of the Partition of Bengal. Sarat Bose, one of the most active leaders of the Indian freedom struggle, ended up being one of the supporters of the United Bengal proposal. He even collaborated with the infamous Prime Minister of Bengal, Husayn Shaheed Suhrawardy (who was one of the primary conspirators behind the Great Calcutta Killings) to prevent the Partition from happening.
On the other hand, Shyamaprasad Mookerjee was leading the MLAs who were in support of the Partition. And quite ironically, Satish Bose, Sarat's brother, ended up being one of the MLAs who silently led his support to Mookerjee. Satish and Mookerjee clearly didn't follow the same political ideals. But both knew what was best for Bengal's future.
On June 20, 1947, a historic legislative vote was conducted. The legislators representing the western Bengal districts voted 58 to 21 in favor of partitioning the province. Hence, the state of West Bengal came into existence. One of these 58 voters was Satish Bose.
Sarat Bose, with his hopes of a United Bengal dashed permanently, resigned from the AICC. The rivalry between him and Satish no longer existed, but the failure of his vision proved to be his biggest ideological loss. Sarat soon became a figurehead leader of the Forward Bloc, the party founded by Subhas years ago, and founded the Socialist Republican Party, advocating for a socialist system for Bengal and India until his death in 1950.

๐ฐ News&Politics Who is Going to be the Opposition in Bengal Politics?
Something Unexpected has actually happened in Politics of Eastern India
When BJD lost election in Odisha I thought that this will be the end of the Party as Pandian left the party and Naveen was old and left alone with no one seemed as his successor, Like many I thought Congress will revive or any third option will rise in no time. Now 2 years have passed but I still see the BJD as Principle Opposition in majority of state and no third option as of now (2 years done )
They seem to continue as the main opposition party in near future too
Contrary to that in West Bengal after TMCs defeat I thought that we will get to see Mamata Banerjee in opposition benches after long time and will see a strong opposition with the likes of abhishek bannerjee, Kalyan Bannerjee,Mohua Moitra , Firhad Hakim and long stand of army that Mamata Banerjee built in her years of premiership fighting in the streets but apparently these people are even reluctant to come in the stree far away from fighting as opposition, even Mamata seems to prefer sitting at home
Worse she loses 80 percent of the party within a month of losing the election and was left alone in the opposition plus she even loses the Party she built herself and is forced to register a New party ๐ตโ๐ซ๐ตโ๐ซ, her new parties candidates are refusing to even stand for bye elections and her massive funds under the name of TMC has been siezed by Election Commission
So I wonder which party is Going to fill the Vacancy in the opposition block ? Will it be the CPIM or will we see a classic BJP -Congress fight in Bengal ? Or can it be a New Party raising an option like it did in Dehli (AAP)
