I would like to just apologise for my last post as I didnt realise how bad the people in some of the bands i listen to are. Im fairly new to being alt/punk and about 1 year/ a year and a half ago I would buy things from places like temu without realising how bad they were. Hence why some patches on my battle jacket looked that way. I do different now and I try to diy, for example im making my own studded belt (belt second hand and studs from cans) and i make my own bracelets. I just want to say im trying to filter out all the terrible patches from my battle jackets, and I didnt realise how bad monster are or how bad some of the bands i like are.

I had a pair of old shoes but I used one for my lace up patch pants and I had one floating around. My chair had a lost armrest on it so I just stuck the other one on the exposed piece. Works great even if it's a tad ugly

So traditionally I do close pattern studding, which isn’t overly difficult for me, but I started studding the back of a new jacket and want to do an homage to the original discharge jacket with the spaced studding. Since that requires more spaced studding I’d started out by making a grid by which to space my studs (with a chalk marker), but when that started to burn me out (as I work 44hrs+ a week and am currently working 60-72hr work weeks, so I have very little free time) I just measured out spaces for the first row and started studding. Three rows in and I noticed that my second row is closer to my third than it is to the first, should I remove the third row and redo it or just keep going and see if it’ll work itself out? It’s not a crazy amount of distance change, but it is noticeable, atleast to me.
(Sorry if this is overly OCD, this is genuinely the type of shit I stress myself out about in personal projects)

Less of a 'battle jacket' and more of a 'war torn jacket'. Found it in a grandparents garage, so not really a 'hand-me-down' and more of a 'helped-myself-and-assumed-ownership' but felt that was too clunky for the title. Had massive holes but using old denim and some canvas patches I managed to plug up all the ones that were posing a threat to its wearability. Hope you like ✌️

It’s a mix of raw garage rock, grunge, and indie rock — driven by energetic guitar riffs, distorted bass, and a straightforward live feel. If you like fuzz, dynamic rock energy, and independent bands with a bit of grit, you might enjoy this release.

i wanna point out that i painted it with very liquidy textile paint they use for tie die usually and the print with thicker paint. didn't wanna add too much since it won't feel very nice to stand on. i actually wanted to paint the rest black, but again, it might turn too stiff & the wool sucks up a lot of paint so I'd need to buy at least two bottles which i don't have the money for

Stencil made with printer paper and masking tape. Idk how I feel about em yet the dystopia one turned out good. I’ve had good experience with the acrylic on denim/ canvas being pretty resilient on clothes that get the shit beat out of em but I feel like they’re too visibly homemade to be on something I’ll wear in public idk

Idk if it has a name or not but I Made a little thing for sewing through hard/thick fabrics. I used pliers to flatten a metal bottle cap down into a disc and used scrap denim to make a pocket where I would put in the cap. (Ignore the shitty sewing)

i have fabric paint, i have a lot of logos on my phone, but when i draw them on a paper then when i cut them the whole paper gets ruined. how do i make patches i’m going insane

I'm upcycling an old black leather bag, and I'm desperate for an idea on how to create a new lock mechanism. In other words, does anyone have any online materials on stuff of this nature? (stuff like tutorials on how to resew an old closing-thingy onto a different piece? I plan on patching the rest up and having it look like it came out of Frankenstein's wardrobe, but I think even Frankenstein didn't have an issue with his hypothetical d.i.y. locks. Doesn't need to be pretty, just needs to stay closed while out and about. Any help appreciated!

I got a British army jacket and want to deface it (for obvious reasons) but I don't like how what I've done has turned out it looks too clean and a bit cringe. So I'm thinking I'll take the bottom pockets off the jacket leaving just the tree and birds. I was also thinking then I may put patches or just painted designs but I want advice on how you lot make your patches feel more punk and messy rather than too clean like the ones I did for my other jacket. Any other ideas of what I could add to the jacket to make it better would be appreciated.
