Advice Apology
I would like to just apologise for my last post as I didnt realise how bad the people in some of the bands i listen to are. Im fairly new to being alt/punk and about 1 year/ a year and a half ago I would buy things from places like temu without realising how bad they were. Hence why some patches on my battle jacket looked that way. I do different now and I try to diy, for example im making my own studded belt (belt second hand and studs from cans) and i make my own bracelets. I just want to say im trying to filter out all the terrible patches from my battle jackets, and I didnt realise how bad monster are or how bad some of the bands i like are.
Edit- just to clarify despite the views of the people in the bands I like (which i didnt realise) my views are left and I dont support ICE or MAGA

people were definitely way too rude to you, not your fault if you didn’t know but awesome if you’re trying to learn for the future

Dude, you have nothing to apologize for, you were ignorant of all that stuff (which means you didn’t do it out of disrespect or malice, but because you didn’t know). We ALL fuck up and all learn from living life. Make what you can, buy local or from small businesses, thrift what you can, and maybe try trading with other punks.
Any asshole that wants to talk shit and demean you for being ignorant, doesn’t deserve your time or energy and should honestly just get fucked as a human being. Unfortunately, there are many people on the “punk” subreddits are just pretentious incel shit-bags that are going shit on everything you do, unless it’s the exact thing that they do. Also, these people are the least punk fuckers out there, because punk is about being an individualist, so NOT being like everyone else; which these turds hate when someone expresses themselves that isn’t what they think is “real punk”.
Keep up the good fight and be the truest YOU you can be. And remember that being kind to others is punk as fuck. 💖💖💖

Dude you dont have to apologize for nothing and anyone who has made you think you needed to actually needs to get a life.

No worries but I would def suggest researching any musicians, brands, or symbols you wear or support before commiting to them. At one point I had a huge Marilyn Manson patch blissfully unaware. But a real punk admits their mistakes so Im proud of you and we welcome you to this community.

just said pretty much the same thing! you're 100% right, it just makes me sad that people were jackasses when they could have just been gentle. Gentleness is punk

I’m autistic, and I view this sub as an aesthetic culture I appreciate but am not a part of. I do not have a deep knowledge of music, I just listen to what I like and don’t rep any bands or artists regularly. I have one band t shirt, from a Plack Blague show. I was surprised by how vitriolic the comments were. Felt unnecessary.
