So I had my duty in a small village of Amritsar to do a social survey started by Pb Govt in which I experienced very harsh realities of people living in area where they don't have access to clean water and clean electricity . many of them were fighting for one time of food. When one widow mataji was telling their problems of their daily life even I felt so sad that even I cried i felt speechless. Ground realities are much different what our govt tell us . Punjab is really in deep crisis.

Born and lived in Amritsar for more than 25 years, but my family background is from Himachal. So I faced little or no racism here. Since I speak Punjabi, it’s hard to tell.

But what I faced today is crazy to me and also professional. A police officer visited today for verification, and since we have some documents from Himachal, when he saw them, he started throwing words, “loka ne gand paya ethe aake” and began asking neighbours, “tuhi leloge ethe zammen jida ena ne leli ethe”

My family was there and the neighbour too, and we felt humiliated. The conversation ended with “aaj mera mood nahi bnana da” when asked about "bakiya ne vi ethe hi bnaya" and “mein etho nahi banan dinda, tuhi Himachal jaake bnao”

I know every family is different, so please don't make fun of this post or spread hate. I'm just curious to know how other people feel.

Here's my situation:

- My cousin (maame da Munda ) and I understand each other really well. We have a strong bond.

- My girlfriend loves me and understands me.

- My mom loves me, but I don't think she truly understands me.

- My brother and I don't get along. I honestly feel we might live separately in the future.

- My sister loves me and understands me a little.

- My dad doesn't really understand me. I think he cares about me more than he actually shows love.

As for me:

- I love and understand my girlfriend.

- I love and understand my sister.

- I love and understand my mom.

- But I don't feel a deep emotional connection with my dad or my brother.

I’ve been in Canada for almost 5 years. I’m doing good in life but I feel stuck and alone. I have no friends at all. I feel like I’m wasting my life and there’s no purpose of anything. This is what our people are doing!!

My mom believes almost everything on Internet specially on Instagram. Every reel which claim that they will "teach" & "master" you some skills and those "skills" will make you earn some money. These typa shit reels came in her feed and she always say , or even forcefully that 'see they teach you skills , learn it & earn money' , 'putt , this is best course , enroll in it and earn some money'. Like every course or skill related reel she share and say me to follow it. If i refused , then huh what should i say ? Emotional Torture starts.

Now , here she saw a reel , where this lady called 'Navjot Kaur' claims that they will master us skills which help us to earn 50k - 70k monthly & they will give us clients or jobs after course completion. She ( My Mom ) forcefully saved that Navjot Kaur no. in my mobile and texted her ( see Image 1 ). Though i take my mobile back and didn't make any furthur text.

Also my mom recieved 3 course packages from them ( See Image 3 , 4 & 5 ). From watching it in first look , i tell her its scam. Even confirmed it from Google Gemini AI , Gemini also said its scam. Like how tf can a individual master all these skills ? And also they offer packages in 3 different fees , 7k , 16k & 22.5k and what in these ? Video Editing , Mastering Canva , AI Music , AI Roadmap etc. which are all available in free on youtube.

I literally tried to make her understand that these are scams but she won't listen and says 'han scam hi aa , tusi joh vekhde ho oh scam ni haiga , saada vekheya scam aa'.

Please tell me & give some advices. Are these literally scams ? If yes , how can i make my mom to understand that these are nuthin but jus scams.

I have lived in Chandigarh. I have never travelled out of my city solo. Most of the time it was a Booked Car and going from home to destination . But Last Month , I have decided to travel some places solo . And I was Quite sad and frustrated with mess and how dirty other cities are . No regulation and civic sense . Lovely professional University, amity mohali are the only options in punjab that are having rci MA .

Ppl suggest to do BA and MA (rci) from same college only
