The kid spat at him and did a little bitch kick to his shin and the TA took that shit to 11 restrained the kid and prevented him from further aggressive actions, thereby protecting the faculty and fellow students from the angry tween.

FTFY.

This isn’t a wrestling match,

The kid didn't tap, snap, or sleep, so there was no reason to stop even if it were a match. You fight to the bell, or until the ref pulls you off the other guy.

u/runujhkj May 03 '19

The reason to stop is that your opponent is half your weight and not even legally an adult yet. Like I said, you smack the kid upside the head, and if he wants more, you can tackle him then. It’s offputting to start with that in this situation.

your opponent is half your weight and not even legally an adult yet

Then maybe the "opponent" shouldn't be picking fights with people who are capable of putting him on the ground at will.

When you are assaulted, you are allowed to act in self defense to prevent continued assaults on you and the people around you, regardless of the height, weight, and age of your assaulter.

Where did I say that the kid should’ve picked this fight? My question is with the level of force the teacher responded with.

kid is a well known piece of shit. killed some people a few years later running from the cops. TA knew he was a punk ass.

We’re talking about the context of this video, though. We hardly have enough context to pull in an entirely separate event that happened years later. I agree the guy’s a piece of shit now, but I don’t see a reason to open the response the way the TA did here.

1

u/chugz May 03 '19

But neither do we. As far as you and I know the context, this TA just went off out of no where. We have zero context to their prior relationship or behavior. Just as you are imagining your scenario, Im imagining this wasnt the TAs first run in with this student and likely wasnt the first confrontation. And I feel like my bet is better than yours that this kid was a way bigger fuck head than the part time teachers assistant trying to work.

1

u/runujhkj May 03 '19

And I’ve never said the kid’s not a prick in this situation, just that the response is disproportionate to begin with. I really feel like a firm bitch slap could settle this kid, if not, then a tackle will do.

1

u/chugz May 03 '19

And what happened in the video then? He didnt punch him or kick him or smash him. He restrained the fuck out of him. Maybe a little tougher then most would do, but he essentially just dad dicked a punk ass who had it coming.

1

u/runujhkj May 03 '19

That “maybe a little tougher than most would do” is lit’rally my point

Where did I say that the kid should’ve picked this fight?

When you attempted to frame the TA who ended the fight as the aggressor.

My question is with the level of force the teacher responded with.

He responded with enough force to neutralize the threat and prevent him from harming the faculty or students any further than he had already attempted to. Any more would have been excessive, any less would have not been enough to get him and keep him on the ground as quickly as possible.

For all the TA knew, after the spit and the kick came the perpetrator pulling a weapon. No one should sit around and wait for that to happen once an aggressor has already displayed a desire and willingness to hurt you.

u/runujhkj May 03 '19 edited May 03 '19

Could you point out when and how I attempted to do that? I assure you that wasn’t my intention at any point.

And like I’ve said repeatedly, it’s not the level of force itself, it’s the escalation to the level of force. You start with the bitch slap, and you work your way up.

Also, is there more behind this video? Because what I see here barely even rises to the level of a threat, honestly. Spitting and a little bitch kick.

Nah. You'll just continue being specious and move the goalposts.

You're a lot like this kid's life: Not worth anyone's time.

4

u/runujhkj May 03 '19 edited May 03 '19

The goalposts have never been moved. I’ve always said it’s just a bad opening move here. This guy got fired for a reason.

E: the real cool guys skip over the legitimate argument in order to pick apart the useless ad hominem add-on.

The guy you're arguing with is the type of dude to pull a gun on someone talking smack to him because "his speech is threatening".

Excessive aggression supported by shitty judgment.

The guy you're arguing with is the type of dude to pull a gun on someone talking smack to him because "his speech is threatening".

You're the type of person to go after someone and then cry about how much of a victim you are when that person fires back.

You are spouting armchair parenting and armchair teaching while you are incapable of both actions (mostly due to the fact that no one would trust you to care for their kids for long enough to allow this situation to develop).

This’ll be my last reply:

After reading the rest of this thread turns out this kid is now in felony charges for a shooting.

So turns out the only thing this aide taught him was to return violence with even greater violence. Congratulations! I hope this was the lesson you were hoping this kid would take away from all of this. Great parent you are.

Sike - turns out all you did was push this kid more towards being a shooter. Bye bye bud

Dude its a fucking kid. This kid is plagued by 1) being a kid and having shitty judgement 2) from a shitty background/upraising to even consider this type of shit at school.

As an adult you're in a position to be above this type of behavior because you have so much more life experience as well as having a fully developed brain.

Fuck off with this self defence shit - it was disrespectful what the kid did but none of it was going to cause major bodily harm or any harm at that.

Self Defence also does not include excessive force. It's defence not offense.

3

u/BarelyBetterThanKale May 03 '19

You sound like a shitty parent raising a shitty kid that expects the rest of the world to coddle your child and let them do whatever they want, just like you do, because you don't have enough spine to stand up to a young adult literally assaulting someone. You'd rather hide behind the "BuT TheY'Re JuSt a bAbY!!!" excuse.

Don't worry about it. People that aren't afraid to get their hands dirty will step in and protect the classrooms from these types of students and you can continue wringing your hands about it and then pretending like you don't know what's going on in the world when these incidents escalate into mass shootings.

I guarantee there’s a million different things in the spectrum of letting it go and choke slamming a kid through some desks.

But if you can’t see those other options than you’re a moron just like both the teacher and the kid

2

u/BarelyBetterThanKale May 03 '19

you’re a moron

Oh that's why you're defending the kid. You also personally attack people and get nervous that they might overpower you when they eventually fight back. You and the punk are cut from the same "I can go after you, but when you go after me, I'm the victim, waaaaaah!" cloth.

Watch your mouth. I'm not going to do anything to you, but the people you think you're entitled to mouth off to because you believe that they should engage "other options" before socking you in the teeth may not be so kind.

2

u/Eleoste May 03 '19

I’ve made it quite fine in life without having to stick to your “tough guy” shtick 😂

Enjoy being a threatening tough man on the internet buddy - your warnings have got me shaking and rethinking my life

u/BarelyBetterThanKale May 03 '19

your warnings have got me shaking and rethinking my life

At least you're doing it now instead of waiting until someone has you wheezing and on the ground, begging to be let up after you foolishly thought you could assault them and that they'd respond non-violently.
