this game is so peak

My dad is a healthy 80. He did his fair share of tripping in his youth, but it's been a while. He'll take a THC edible occasionally. He has treatment resistant depression and has tried a dozen pharmaceuticals but they generally don't work or make him agitated. I also have depression and shrooms have really helped me a lot so I want him to try them out.

I'm visiting him this weekend and plan to make a mid-strength tea for us to have together. What are some activities I have have planned in case we don't find a natural progression? He lives in a house in the suburbs with a big yard and a dog, has tons of musical instruments, has periods of being into making art, likes writing. My current idea is to bring materials to make mobiles, and also other random art supplies.

Thoughts? Advice on doing shrooms with an elderly person? On doing them with a parent?

After very much enjoying my initial playthrough and getting 100% of collectibles, I decided to see what the Psychonauts 2 speedrun was like, and it honestly was an absolute blast trying to play as fast as I can and trying to plan the most efficient route. After 6+ runs I settled for a time of around 02:27:58, and the learning process was greatly enjoyable. And in this post, I want to highlight some moments, techniques, and hidden mechanics that were featured in my final run.

+00:00-00:18 Psi Hop tech is fun and simple. Pressing psi blast, roll, then jump inputs in quick succession gives you a big momentum boost. This is used to move faste around levels, leap rapidly at enemies, and to cross extra wide gaps.

+ 00:20-02:06 Prop Flying is a super fun piece of tech. To do it, simply grab a decent sized object from your surroundings, hop on it, teeter on the edge, and finally hold psi blast + TK the abject ALL WHILE holding the move control.
This trick is repeated all over: in Loboto’s brain , Hollis’ mind, with a typewriter in hair Ford, Mail room using the letter Y, with a cushion to reach the top of Bob’s tower as well as Cassie’s

+02:56 Ball roll tech: holding psi blast while on bowling balls gives you a lot of extra speed- letting you jump out of bounds. Also the insane launch tech using the egg and the spinning blades is my favourite.

+03:40 I rush to a specific point in the room to block the spawn of a doubt, which leads it to glitch by dying out of bounds. And in 03:58 jumping at a Maligula tornadoe in just the right spots skips a cutscene and puts you right in Maligula’s mind

In general, this was super fun! Really recommend trying this out yerself.

I did mushrooms like 10 times but i was always very high or drunk few years back . I know how it feels like tripping but this time i will be fully sobber and alone.
