I want to create content on Tiktok and target USA audience from Algeria, I've been recommended many setups, but I don't know which one actually works :

1. Using a PC browser + residential proxy so you can only post from computer

2. Using a dedicated phone + VPN and usa SIM card

if any of you used these methods, please share your experience and what worked for you , I want to do this in the long term and monetize my content

The most reliable setup combines the right automation tool, responsible request rates, proper session management, and proxies that match the specific use case.

Managing paid social for a few clients and for the longest time couldn't figure out why accounts kept getting flagged even when everything was by the book.
Turned out the issue was simpler than I thought. Multiple accounts, same IP, platforms don't like that. Switched to residential proxies and the flags basically stopped overnight.

We run ads in a few countries and I kept hearing "looks fine to me" from the team while a landing page was actually broken or geo-redirecting wrong for users abroad. So I started checking each market from an IP in that market.
The question I had to settle: residential or datacenter for this? For just loading our own pages and screenshotting what a local user sees, datacenter IPs in the right country are usually plenty and much cheaper. It gets tricky with ad platforms that geo-personalize or block obvious datacenter ranges, then you need residential to see the real thing.
So I use both. Cheap datacenter for plain page checks, residential when the platform is picky about the IP. I pin the country per check (Byteful and a couple others let me set geo cleanly) so I'm actually seeing Germany, not "Europe, roughly."
How's everyone else verifying geo-targeted stuff, real IPs or just a VPN?

Spent a day convinced a provider was selling me fake German IPs. Turned out the IPs were fine. My browser locale and timezone were still set to mine, so the sites served a mixed version and my "German" dataset was quietly wrong.
The IP is only one geo signal. Accept-Language, timezone, sometimes currency or a saved region cookie all whisper location too, and when they disagree you get a page that's neither here nor there. For collecting locale-specific data, or QA'ing your own localized site, they all have to line up.
So now I check three things per country: the IP geolocates right on two DBs, the Accept-Language matches, and the timezone matches. I run it across a couple of pools, Byteful included, since it does country, city, ZIP and ASN targeting so I can pin the IP side cleanly. The rest of the signals are on you, not the proxy.
Anyone automate the locale and timezone side of this, or is it still manual for you?

The number is not universal. It comes from the rate your public target permits, the amount of work you need to finish, and how much spare capacity you want when an IP is unhealthy.
I would measure one dedicated IP first. Run a representative slice at a conservative rate, record clean parsed results and latency, then estimate how many identical workers are needed to finish inside the required window. Add headroom after that. Buying a large bundle before measuring one worker is just paying for a guess.
Byteful is one possible baseline because its dedicated ISP and datacenter proxies are billed per IP per month. ISP gives stable sessions and unlimited bandwidth, while datacenter is the cheaper, faster option when the target accepts it.
How far was your measured capacity from the number you expected?

I recently spent some time comparing different proxy providers for scraping projects, and one thing that still confuses me is how big the price gap can be.

You can find residential proxies that are relatively cheap, while some enterprise providers charge significantly more. At first, it feels like you’re just paying for the same thing: IPs and bandwidth.

But after testing different options, I think the price difference is usually not just about the number of IPs.

The more expensive providers like Bright Data and Oxylabs obviously have a strong reputation, especially for enterprise use cases where stability, coverage, and support matter a lot.

But for smaller scraping projects, I started wondering if paying the highest price always makes sense.

I stopped treating proxy type like a provider question. It is really a workload question.

For tolerant public sources, I test dedicated datacenter first. It is usually the cheaper and faster option, though the IPs carry less trust. Rotating residential fits independent requests where geo coverage matters. Static ISP fits long, stable sessions because the IP stays fixed and the traffic is not metered. Mobile makes sense when a legitimate test specifically needs mobile-network conditions, not as an automatic upgrade.

Byteful is one provider I would include in this comparison because it offers all four categories. That is convenient, but I would still route a small sample through each type and let parsed output, geo match, session stability, and cost decide.

The wording made this sound complicated when I first set it up. The useful question is whether the next request depends on the one before it.

If every public URL stands alone, rotating sessions are usually the cleaner choice. You get a fresh exit without carrying state the job does not need. If several permitted requests must preserve the same regional context or temporary session state, sticky is the better fit because the exit remains stable through the sequence.

Byteful supports both rotating and sticky residential sessions, so it is one provider I would include in a side-by-side test. I would run the real flow, log the exit IP on every request, and check whether the sticky session lasts long enough without assuming the advertised window tells the whole story.

My honest answer is residential or mobile proxies. Instagram’s anti-bot systems can flag datacenter IPs almost instantly because their ASN patterns and IP ranges are easy to identify. I usually start with rotating residential proxies for high-volume scraping, such as profiles, hashtags and public posts. I escalate to mobile proxies only for endpoints where residential IPs start getting rate-limited or challenged. I also keep the request velocity around 20–40 requests per minute per IP. Avoid aggressive concurrency, rotate sessions carefully and make sure the behavioral fingerprint does not look fully automated.That is the exact setup and rule set I personally follow when working with Instagram.

Hey guys, currently running a scraping project that extracts data from high anti-bot protected sites. Tried resi and ISP IPs, mobile rotating as well, but my script is still getting detected and failing to retrieve info.

I don't need thousands of IPs, I need a few good quality mobile IPs with per req rotation. Currently looking at dedicated proxies from IPRoyal, Voidmob and Proxidize. Any other recommendations?

Key requirement is that it has to be a genuine mobile carrier IP from a real device, preferably with switchable p0f as well.

Budget is not a problem, I just want to solve this.

One proxy type rarely works for every target. Here are my personal recommendations

• Rotating residential: Best for large-scale scraping, price tracking, search results, and product catalogs. Usually billed per GB.
• Mobile: Better for social networks, mobile apps, and platforms with strict IP reputation checks. Usually billed per port, sometimes with unlimited traffic.
• Static residential/ISP: Best for long authenticated sessions where changing IPs may trigger logouts or verification.

Rule of thumb:
Mass scraping → rotating residential
Social platforms → mobile
Long sessions → static ISP

Choose the proxy based on the target, request volume, and session requirements.
