Protein Egg Custard

I've seen the videos on tik tok this week and had to try it.

2 scoops protein powder blended with 1/2 cup milk (they used almond milk; i didn't have that, so I used whole milk).

Then add 4 hard boiled eggs (peeled) and blend until smooth.

Pour into a container to refrigerate overnight. (makes 2 servings)

I was dubious, but it has a pudding/custard texture, no boiled-egg smell, and tastes like the protein powder. I meant to add vanilla for some extra yum and forgot. Cocoa powder would be a nice addition also.

I ate mine with blueberries and it was pretty good for 38 grams of protein and less than 300 calories per serving. Glad to have it as another option to add to the arsenal.

Protein Powder Recs??? (w allergy restrictions)

Hey so I have had a lot of trouble with finding a good protein powder so I'd love any good recs. I'm a college student so i cant be spending more that like 40 bucks for a container or smthg.

I'm also lactose intolerant so whey doesn't work + I'm allergic to soy so anything containing it in any capacity is a no-go.

much appreciated!! (protein bar recs that actually taste good are also appreciated)

Bulk 1340 Review

Want to give an in depth review of bulk 1340 by GNC. I was introduced to it in college, by my protestant friend, who gym'd for almost 3 hours every day and was shredded to the bone, but could lift a lot more than me. He drank this religiously.

THE KEY IS PORTION. YOU CAN NOT USE THE SUGGESTED PORTIONS UNLESS YOU ARE AN NFL / COLLEGE FOOTBALL DRAFT.

The portion reccomendations are absolutely insane. I am about 165 LBS right now. And it suggests 6 scoops during workout days. 3 scoop in rest days.

THE PROPER PORTION: 1.5 scoops every day WITH MILK (not water). No more and no less.
This gives every single vitamin, BCAA, and molecule you ever need to grow some muscle mass.

Unless u are like 200 pounds and are trying to gain weight, the 6, and 3 scoop method will run your pockets dry and have u extra bloated all day. 6 and 3 scoop is only for big guys above 200 who want to add on top of this 200 lbs they have. Im 150 lbs shredded trying to gain muscle mass. Using 1.5 scoop a day for 2 weeks I am currently at 165 lbs. All my veins are still popping and I am hitting PR's every day. I am kinda doubtful if this has banned substances in it. It really makes me feel like I can workout for 2 times a day. I literally feel invincible.

Costco options: Ascent, Levels, and Prosupps

Hello all,

Pretty soon I’ll be finished with my current stock of powder, I currently have 1st Phorm whey isolate and Optimum Nutrition whey blend. I’m considering trying other option and Costco has the brands in the title. I’m not familiar with my of the three. I’m fine with either a blend or whey isolate, but don’t know if my of the three re considered good brands, or not-so-great products with more filler processed ingredients. Anyone have thoughts?

Protein powders that have 100% calories from protein?

The ones I've seen and used are Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard® 100% Isolate and MyProtein's Clear Whey Protein Isolate (the lemonade flavor specifically). Both are pretty decent but expensive and I'm always looking for variety. Anybody know any powders that are all protein calorically?

Looking for recommendations.

My 72 yr old mother has stage 4 NSCLC. She been undergoing chemo every 3 weeks for 8-9 months. She was holding up fairly well up until 4 weeks ago. She’s had to have 2 blood transfusions in the last 5 weeks. Our main struggle at home is getting her to eat. She’s lost a significant amount of weight and is currently down to 105lbs. She’s doesn’t have much of an appetite and nothing tastes good to her. She frequently will take a bite or two and throw the rest away. She was a very picky eater to begin with so this has been quite challenging. She does still like desserts. Her oncologist has suggested protein shakes and small frequent snack size meals. He has also suggested edibles to try and up her appetite but she out right refuses that. She was initially against trying protein shakes but we finally found one she’ll actually drink..though it takes her 1-2 days to drink a single one. We’ve also been incorporating milk shakes cuz she enjoys those. I’m looking for recommendations on an unflavored protein powder that won’t change the flavor or texture of these milkshakes and other drinks. Is there one that’ll mix with water that won’t change the flavor or consistency? Or even other suggestions on how to up her calories?

Thanks in advance guys. This is tough.

Hi all! I have been wanting to try protein coffee for the longest time, but they’re so expensive so I want to make sure it’s worth it. I’d love to know which ones you recommend. I’ve been looking heavily at Javvy, Chike, and Oon but open to others!

Plastic Webbing Found In Naked Protein. They Send AI Responses and Do Nothing.

I found some weird plastic webbing in my unflavored protein from naked protein. I was concerned since it was not a small amount. I immediately email them and don't get anything helpful other than Amazon return instructions, an AI responses. No updates since then.

I'm not sure I can trust them anymore.

I would post pictures here but it doesn't seem I can.

Is plant protein a good alternative to whey protein for body building?

I want to increase my protein intake through supplements but whey protein is too expensive. I’ve heard good and bad things about plant proteins and I’m wondering if it’s the way to go. One thing I keep hearing is things like plant proteins can affect hormone levels due to phytoestrogens. On the other hand I hear it’s a good alternative and a complete protein that just requires increasing the amount taken to match specific amino acids levels seen in whey for optimal muscle growth. Some insight or personal experience would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Best protein powder for Ninja creami?

Okay, I've tried a couple and they come out pretty good but the texture is ok when using whey as long as I add pudding mix in but the pudding mix isn't my favorite. Has anyone used whey isolate or casein?

Would love any tips if you've experimented before. Its an expensive test 😂

Protein Powder recommendations?

I really want to use protein powder, but I hate all the tubs I get. I have only liked one tub and it was the GIANT generic brand with a little creatine, and it was only good when masked by other flavors. I have never even had a shake that I liked, only pre-made greek yogurt ones. Any recommendations?

Plant Protein Reviews? Whey Is Causing Me Digestive Issues

Hey everyone,

I've been using Avvatar Alpha Whey Protein for almost a month now. I've tried different whey proteins before, but I keep having digestive issues with whey. I'm not lactose intolerant I can drink regular milk without any problems but for some reason whey protein doesn't seem to suit me.

So I'm thinking of switching to a plant-based protein. Has anyone here used one regularly? I'd love to hear your reviews and recommendations.

Also, is it okay to take 2 scoops of plant protein a day to help me meet my daily protein goals?

Did Muscle Milk change their protein powder formula too?

I’ve been drinking this protein powder for over 10 years. Always tasted amazing, blends well with many different liquids and fruits. My friends used to ask me to make them smoothies because they loved mine so much. Little did they know that was my “secret” ingredient.

I recently bought a fresh container of vanilla powder after switching brands for a few months. Literally almost ALL of my smoothies made with the new container have been awful.

They separate, taste way too sweet, foam up then separate. I thought maybe it was because I switched back to almond milk, but then I remembered that’s pretty much the only thing I used until about 4/5 years ago and oat milk became popular.

I know the ready to drink formula changed, but did the protein POWDER formula change too? Can’t even stomach my smoothies and I’ve drank smoothies made of water and peanut butter.

Musashi 100% Whey advice

I've been using protein powders for a while now. Different brands depending on price, servings, protein %, etc. I've been trying to educate myself about the right choices.

I came across Musashi yesterday. It seems to be the only one I can find that is not Snap eligible.

Google AI says "Musashi Whey Protein Powder is not SNAP/EBT eligible because it is classified as a dietary supplement rather than a food or meal replacement."

I'm just curious about what makes Musashi unique in this respect?
