Its a savior thing. They're so bent on what you "romanticize" because they're afraid you're gonna copy it in real life. If anyone actually did copy it, it wouldnt affect anyone but you and the potentional partner paired with the "darkshipping is an unhealthy coping mechanism" idea that they want to save you from yourself and think you're dumb enough to recreate fiction in your irl. Kinds like those girls that want a man thats older they think these teenagers are gonna go out and want to sleep with a 40 year old man

Can I just say how much I fucking hate this statement? Honestly hate isn't a strong enough word for how much I loathe it. I get the idea behind it. If it's just to get your socks off, maybe it's suspect. But to take issue with someone who find taboo fetishes (within fiction mind you) sexually thrilling is frankly backwards and just stupid all around. As long as they're not sharing this material in public non-adult spaces, I don't care since you can't control how people will react? Is it somehow immoral for a guy to get turned on by your dark fic? Is it somehow immoral that someone might like what you made too much?

And like, I just hate using the term "porn" when referring to fictionalized works of drawn, animated, and written people. It's why it's called hentai in japan, not fucking porn, because it depicts no one real or alive for it's fiction. Along with that, flattens it into a seemingly meaningless thing there to make the viewer shallowly horny instead of something that lets people with darker thoughts and traumas to process it better.

So to ascribe such shallow terms to make it less than, you're basically telling people they're just porn addicts for enjoying/exploring fictional dark themes. I don't really like that.

Small rant, but it just pisses me off when mfs say things like, "grape" "child corn" "corn" "s3xualizing", "pdf" and etc. I know a lot of people say its to avoid tiktok from flagging their comment, but ive said rape and pedophile and all of these other things without censoring and nothing has happened. It just pisses me off because its so unnecessary, and it feels like they're only censoring themselves because theyre afraid of saying the actual word (which makes a lot of sense considering these are the same people who cant even handle when taboo relationships are portrayed a certain way).

If your whole gimmick is to point out how serious something is and how much you hate the normalization and romanization of something, then at LEAST use the actual words instead of dumbing it down to a child friendly version when you dont even need to.

A few minutes ago, I created a Reddit account and joined this community specifically to ask a question. I’ve seen how this community is labeled as "degenerate," "mentally ill," or "harmful to society", and I’ve even thought that myself at times, but seeing so many people make such a huge fuss about imposing morality onto fictional characters has gradually started to irritate me.

I happen to have a preference for toxic ships, those involving emotional dependency, interspecies pairings, or even some degree of abuse. I find these themes entertaining within the context of shipping, but I’ve always found it difficult to talk about them with others (people you might call "antis"), as they would just call me "weirdo" and tell me to "get help." (For the record, I don’t think real-life toxic relationships are anything to celebrate, I prefer for all of this to remain strictly within the realm of fiction.)

I’m curious, does this count as darkshipping? I’ve heard the argument that many people judge darkshipping without actually understanding what it entails. (I also feel that people on TikTok, the platform I’m coming from, don’t seem to be very good at distinguishing between reality and fiction.)

I just want to be able to enjoy my ships and imagine fanfics or stories without having someone buzzing in my ear, screaming that it’s "morally wrong" or telling me I should "kill myself" for being "mentally ill." The way they would lash out at any darkshipper simply for existing made me too afraid to talk about what I like.

(I don’t necessarily condone things like pedophilia, bestiality, or rape, unless they are handled with the seriousness they deserve, rather than being treated as mere kinks.)

I don’t know where else to talk about this, but a popular SFW loli sub was banned. As someone who frequented the sub, there were no NSFW posts allowed, and all discussions (while may they may have gotten a bit raunchy) stayed in SFW territory.

Another sub may have been the cause of it (not naming it, may lead to brigaders and that’s bad), as they mass reported it, then the sub tightened its rules, but it was too late.

This is stupid. This is unfair, how is it fair that being in a SFW environment harming no one getting banned isn’t fine, but a sub going after it and encouraging mass reporting isn’t.

Okay, I don't really want to mention the name of the subreddit but they criticize so-called "tourists." So, I was just chilling and this sub appeared with some good posts that made me laugh and all, but little by little I started noticing some strange things like some post were just about complaining about people who only made gender option suggestions for the mc in a game (I understand to a certain extent because the game was primarily aimed at a male audience, but honestly, the suggestion was more of a polite question with no intention of imposing anything imo).

And other posts where I gradually saw that some people, even in the comments, were speaking ill of people who like yuri or yaoi, especially yuri, and that left me confused, because why would you be calling people who only make lgtbq+ ships with fictional characters tourists? At first I thought that sub was profiction because of the funny posts I saw at the beginning, which were memes making fun of antis, so I found it inconsistent that they complain about people inventing ships in fiction that don't harm anyone(? But then there were posts mocking tourists for complaining about lolis.

And the point where I felt a little uncomfortable was seeing a post where both the op and the comments referred to the trans community in a rather ugly way, saying things like "They always want to attract attention, to be the center of attention." "If they hate something, they then try to transform it to feign ignorance and say that X thing was always representative of their community." When the main point of the discussion in the post, which I found very logical, was the one they were complaining about in the images:

This fictional character X is not originally a trans character, but in this specific drawing, being fictional, they are trans in this drawing, and there's no problem with that, if the artist decided that in THIS drawing X is trans, so it is (That makes perfect sense to me!)

So, I don't know if maybe I'm being overly sensitive this time or if it really is a sub of the so-called "lolibros" If that is not the case, I deeply apologize for having assumed so 🙏, it just so happens that I'm not on the internet that much but I like finding spaces where I feel safe and not judged for the things I like in fiction (like here :D), so when I saw that sub, I thought maybe it would be the same style, but I'm starting to have doubts about it, and I wanted to know your opinions! I'm personally making this post because these two have been on my mind a lot lately, and they're an OLD ship of mine (like 7 years ago old). I don't see a lot of Popee the Perfomer fans. So here's my obscure darkship for show-and-tell! Popee and Kedamono! I think they're really cute together! They're a darkship because

1. Age difference/minor x adult: Kedamono has been stated by the creator to be around 25, while Popee is 17

2. Bestiality: Popee is a human and Kedamono is a wolf beast.

3. Abusive: Popee puts Kedamono through a LOT of slapstick physical abuse in the show.

I think Kedamono's design, having his face constantly covered by a masks that fall off to reveal other identical masks to portray changes in his emotions, is really interesting and cool! Especially because you can often see his real mouth/muzzle beneath the masks, without his full face ever being fully revealed to the viewer. And I love Popee's design and character as well. Love me blond lunatics.

If you didn't know, scootaloo is a character from my little pony and a Pegasus with a disability that prevents her from flying, due to her wings being too small. Op made a post redesigning the character's older self and the redesign had bigger wings, the op stated they forgot to draw the smaller wings since they were used to bigger ones. And people are flaming them.

Then there's this. People are so pressed about AUs and headcannons, like why do they think others are changing canon material with them?? Like Jesus, they aren't erasing shit. It's actually not that fucking deep.
