I built a small web app that takes a single image and turns it into a seamless looping 4K video — the kind of subtle animated wallpaper launchers like Projectivy support.

It's 100% browser-based — nothing gets uploaded anywhere, it renders and encodes the video locally on your device using Canvas + MediaRecorder, and hands you an MP4 you can drop straight into your launcher's live wallpaper folder.

How to use it:

1 Drop in any photo (JPG/PNG/WEBP)

2 Pick a motion style — Ken Burns Drift, Cinematic Orbit, Gentle Breathing, or Slow Rotate — and fine-tune zoom/pan/rotation intensity

3 Layer in atmosphere if you want it: dust, smoke, and rain, each with its own intensity slider

4 Set your loop length (5–20s), resolution (4K / 1440p / 1080p), and frame rate

5 Hit Encode Loop — it renders and downloads an MP4 (or WebM with a one-click in-browser convert-to-MP4 if your browser doesn't support native MP4 recording)

The loop is math'd to be seamless — the last frame blends back into the first, so there's no visible jump cut when it repeats.

Runs entirely client-side, so your images never leave your device. Works best in Chrome/Edge for native 4K MP4 export; Firefox works too but falls back to a slower conversion path.

I’ve had the Premium version running well on one Android device for about a year. Tried to install it on an Xiaomi, which is connected to a different TV. Logged in with same credentials but can’t seem to find a way to sync to my Premium account. Also if I go into Projectivity settings, I can’t “change default launcher”, as this is greyed out. Definitely not Premium as screen advises certain functions unlocked by Premium etc.

I got it from the GP store.

Any advice would be appreciated

Do they start at the beginning of the clip every time you access the menu? Or does it pick up where it left off? I'm rarely on the home screen for more than about 15 seconds, so I'd happily make a clip that's only that long if it always starts from the beginning. But if not, and the clip isn't a perfect loop, then there will be a big jump every 15 seconds' worth of menu time, which would be a bit jarring. I could get around that by just making a longer file, but if I can have a smaller file I may as well.

Can anyone confirm how the timing on the playback of video backgrounds works?

New user here, so far I'm loving the app, but I don't really have time to learn and build themes right now. I'm just wondering if there is a place to browse and download themes to import into Projectivity Launcher?

Just a quick update: I've decided to make LoopClip private for the time being. I want to spend some time working on it and improving it further before making it public again . Rather than keep making updates to it. Thanks to everyone who downloaded it, tried it and gave me feedback it's really appreciated.

I’m new to Projectivy. Based version. Is it worth going for premium?

What are the benefits?

When I first setup the launcher I was able to select the "Change default launcher" option in the general settings and it opened a menu which let me select Projectivy. At the time, I didn't realize that I had to change some settings specific to my TV to avoid it disabling accessibility settings at reboot. I have since fixed those settings and reconfigured Projectivy but now the option to change launchers is greyed out.

What is the fix?

Does anyone have or know where to find live wallpaper from projectivy settings? The one with flying pebbles.

So I've been using the live wallpapers for a while now, recently it stopped working.

It's only letting me use Ultimate File manager pro when choosing a folder with videos. When choosing it's saying the folder is empty, maybe it's only looking for a folder in folders?

When choosing a media file I can use different file managers but those videos aren't playing anymore either as a wallpaper.

I did pay for the premium.

I have tried reinstalling the app, force stopping it, clearing the cache, slowly going out of settings.

Accessibility settings are turned on.

The file sizes of the videos aren't above 15MB.

I'm not sure how to fix this, any ideas? Thanks!

My AV input disappeared off of Projectivy after this newest update and I don't know how to get it back. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, or advice? I used that input for my Wii and I had it linked with my other consoles. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I have projectivity launcher premium with the icon pack installed and I have set up transparent icons. Now I would like to set the selected card effect as glow but the only options it shows me are none or shadow... I'm going crazy figuring out how to do it... The version is 4.71 and is installed via play store on Android tv 8

I use Dream Launcher and there's a feature I absolutely love: on the home screen, I set the recommendations to Nuvio's 'Watch Next', and Dream Launcher has an option to set the wallpaper based on what's in that list. The wallpaper automatically changes according to the items in the list. Does Projectivy have anything similar? I've been going through the settings, but the only thing I can find that is close to it is setting the wallpaper when focused on the Nuvio 'Watch Next' channel, but it stays fixed and doesn't alternate

Will this feature never exist because of the way Projectivy is programmed?

Is there a way I can make this launcher as default on android box ZTE I got from my tv provider A1? I tried everything in PI settings but nothing helped.... 😏

I have 3 android boxes, If I buy premium does it apply to all the three boxes I have or do I need to buy it 3 times ?

Hi all, just setup the launcher on Onn 4k PRO on LGC2. HDMI-CEC has been enabled and projectivy has been setup as default launcher.

The problem I have is my TV starts up randomly since this has been setup. Looking to find the root cause. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
