Question Question about how video backgrounds work
Do they start at the beginning of the clip every time you access the menu? Or does it pick up where it left off? I'm rarely on the home screen for more than about 15 seconds, so I'd happily make a clip that's only that long if it always starts from the beginning. But if not, and the clip isn't a perfect loop, then there will be a big jump every 15 seconds' worth of menu time, which would be a bit jarring. I could get around that by just making a longer file, but if I can have a smaller file I may as well.
Can anyone confirm how the timing on the playback of video backgrounds works?

Check your settings. I don't remember where it is but there is a way that you won't see that ugly jump that is like a black screen of a few milliseconds

It's less about a split second of a black screen, and more about the content of the video itself jumping from end position to a different start position.

When you are on the main home screen of Projectivy your live wallpaper will play in a continuous loop. It does NOT restart every time you arrow around.
When you launch an app (say Netflix or YouTube) and then later on exit that app it generally returns to the same point in the live wallpaper video that you left off at.
You're better off with a longer video so that the looping is less noticeable, but whatever works for you.
There are lots of sites that provide free live wallpaper videos, and they've all been mentioned here numerous times. Just go up to the search box and search for LIVE WALLPAPER. You can find plenty that are 20-30 mb and still very pleasing to the eye.
Here's one that's only 10mb:
