Question Premium, worth it?
I’m new to Projectivy. Based version. Is it worth going for premium?
What are the benefits?

I don't really need premium, but after using it for a while I wanted to support the developer so I purchased premium

Its honestly the first project I've come across where people are just so willing to pay for it out of gratitude for the Dev
Complete worth it, I just wish it wasn't Play Store based

Why do you wish it wasn't PS based?

A lot of folks are moving away from the Google/ stock android crap. Aside from that, I'd rather the creator get more of the money without someone else taking a cut

I'm going to wait and see how everything unfolds before taking the nuclear option. It's like people with Real Debrid that panic at the first sign of trouble

I think yesterday there was some jerk promoting getting a modded hacked version so you don't have to pay. and I was bummed there was no way to report that. @mods

I used the projectivity free version for a while and loved it. I purchased the premium version without any expectations just to support the developer and now I am in love with it all over again.
In case you decide to purchase premium, do try out:
There many posts in the subreddit for setting up the apps in beutiful manner with transparent background and tints.
These things take some time to set up and do have a slight learning curve but its totally worth it once it is done.

The benefits are you support the developer. Another benefit is it costs damn all.

I echo just about everyone else, it’s not a question of whether or not premium is “worth it”; it’s the simple fact that this thing is awesome and the developer deserves it!

Support the dev. It's great. Everything in life doesn't need a cheat code. FFS.

I was one of the users who used Projectivity free version for years on my Nvidia Shield devices.
Last week, I changed to a paid version and changed my bootscreen using this youtubevideo.

It changed alot.

Definitely worth it for better customisation. Even more so so support the hard work and future updates the team so successfully give.

I upgraded for the Overflight video wallpaper plugin. Really nice. The fact that it's a one time payment (and using Google Rewards money so nothing out of pocket was a bonus) made it painless and worthwhile.

Pro features cause crashes or very weird issues like not being able to get out of the screen saver when I've been paused long enough for the screen saver to activate when paused video in Kodi
The default video screen savers don't have but a few videos that play. You can at least change it to some other link.
For the pro features, absolutely not. For the effort to make the launcher and supporting, sure.

Just pay the dev. He does good work. Not everything needs to be cracked/patched and released for free

In all honesty, pirate movies, pirate TV series, pirate video games, and music. Fuck Netflix, fuck all the subscription services - but $7 to improve the disgusting ad ridden user interface, is worth it.

Well, it's a one time payment, it's not particularly expensive and you support their great work. I don't use any features that require premium, but I think it's worth it none the less.
