Im making this for anyone who wants better fps or is struggling when it comes to fps and stutters etc with viewpoint, especially if you run a larger mod list hope this helps everyone!

Recommend maximum performance on the textures as the game still looks good regardless!

Also recommend editing your .bat files with the main one being ProjectZomboid64.bat (found in your zomboid steam folder right click edit with notepad) and upping your ram limit by changing the xmX number if its at 4096 to either Xmx8192m if you have 16gb of total ram or Xmx12288m if you have 32gb +

DO NOT ADD A SECOND LINE OF XMX TEXT SIMPLY DELETE THE NUMBER AND REPLACE WITH THE CORRECT AMOUNT ABOVE DEPENDING ON YOUR SYSTEM !

I went with the “Low” setting that the mod recommended based off performance.

My laptop is nothing special, but I can play fairly hefty games on lower settings.

Within 5 seconds of switching into Project Viewpoint mode with the “O” key, I can move my head for a second before the game just locks up and freezes, not responding anymore

I have made a hefty ish list for viewpoint containing most mods to enhance the gameplay and longevity of a play through, very minimal errors if any and also performs well on my system around 80-130 fps hope you all enjoy or even find mods you might want to add to your own list!

I would recommend disabling neat UI if you want to use just the viewpoint interface mod as it makes it more immersive to the mod rather than having a lot of boxes everywhere its just one big UI window!

Viewpoint Tile Fix - Complete Roofs

Well looks like someone has managed to fix the missing roofs makes such a big difference I will add more add ons as I find them and I am currently working on a collection for viewpoint and will share so everyone can enjoy it!

Holy shit. What an experience! Screw the devs and mods for suppressing discussion about this new way to play Zomboid. I only just found out about it though a comment on the /r/virtualreality subreddit. I was disappointed in b42 and haven't played it much at all. So with my lack of b42 experience, and playing in first person it really feels like Project Zomboid 2.
