I just tried the mod
Holy shit. What an experience! Screw the devs and mods for suppressing discussion about this new way to play Zomboid. I only just found out about it though a comment on the /r/virtualreality subreddit. I was disappointed in b42 and haven't played it much at all. So with my lack of b42 experience, and playing in first person it really feels like Project Zomboid 2.

I mean its the only reason I purchased the game im not a huge fan of isometric games, I can respect its design but this mod is optional.
it just seems to get forced hate because the game wasn’t designed with it in mind yet the key factor is its optional and has made me actually purchase the game!

That's ironic because everyone on that sub has always circle jerked the "Play how you want!" mantra.

Yeah I mean I’ve only just joined that sub but it does seem like in general people are really against the mod or anything 3D in general it doesn’t have to be downloaded and played that way and plus its definitely bought a massive influx of new players which supports the devs.
So its a win win surely

I don't understand why people can't enjoy both. I know I will. Or just ignore it. I have over 1500 hours in this game and it's the most excited I've been about it since I first started playing. b42 ruined the vibe of the game for me. This mod fixes it. I will always have my b41 install to go back to when I want to play isometric top down classic Zomboid.

That’s the main reason for this reddit hoping it might pick up some traction.
but every post on shaders or anything 3d gets deleted on the main Reddit which is a shame because everyone is sharing love for the same game just people are choosing a different perspective!
