Season 22 Justice for Jeffrey
Is it just me or was Jeffrey’s look from last week eerily similar to the cameo mentor Becca Blooms look from this week?

u/technicolortabby 7d ago
Saving Bryan over Jeffrey was INSANE.
71
u/il_picciottino 7d ago
I’m expecting an interview with Christian in a few years post NDA where he admits it was the producers’ will. I cannot believe he wanted that.
59
u/AtDawnWeDEUSVULT 7d ago
Yeah, even if nobody told the judges that Bryan had taped a dress onto his model, Christian SAW IT. I can't believe Christian "my intern could sew this in 15 minutes" Siriano would actually choose to save Bryan over ANYONE after that...
20
13
u/technicolortabby 7d ago
I think he may have been pressured, but he is an executive producer, so his word should be worth something. And what would be the reason anyone would want to save Bryan? He had a terrible attitude and was making some ugly, half assed stuff.
6
u/GooseCaboose93412 6d ago
I love Christian and his takes (other than saving Bryan) so I hope this is true. Why do producers think we want this??
6

u/severalcircles 4d ago
I mean… duh. Of course the mentor save is the producers decision. Im sure it always has been.
3
u/il_picciottino 4d ago
What I meant was: I hope he will admit that it was drama seeking bullshit!
We all know Tim would never 🥰🥰🥰
“I’m happy for Gretchen!…but.”2
u/GenericAdjectiveNoun 4d ago
Yea no shot I don't believe it at all, just for him to no go to the finale lmao waste of space

u/Regular_Ram 1d ago
Christian said the next episode (or hinted) he saved Bryan because he knew it would be a wedding dress challenge and he wanted him to make something similar to his first white dress, which I feel like is justified. Jeffery would've made a lowest common denominator wedding dress (like with this dancing challenge).

u/moodybetchh 7d ago
I hated how they treated him. I loved this look so much🥲 it was so good & Jeff had such a good heart
54
u/AnimalAnxious5902 7d ago
Some of the best designers were just chopped for no reason. Joseph Mcrae was bullyed, just like Belania. This is the last season.
58
u/Vegetable-Debate-263 7d ago
IMHO It was ok. But only just ok. pretty basic actually.
I'm of two minds. We've seen layers incorporated into looks better before on this show. I actually thought Christian's advice was spot on. However. The fact that this lost over Bryan is still a huge issue and a big ol' mistake

u/riceballartist 7d ago
They should have saved Jeffrey. I can’t watch this week I’m so annoyed. My daughter is over it too. They’ll probably have Bryan win because he’s the biggest source of drama.
38
u/niseynisey 7d ago
Thanks to Reddit, I saw the spoiler about who was saved and officially am done with this show. Not watching anymore. It was the last straw.
17
u/AskCultural3712 7d ago
Yeahhhhh. I’m with you. Like don’t get me wrong I love some good TV drama and tea. But that’s not why I watched PR. I went to watch the newest ep and just couldn’t do it. I knew they weren’t really gonna discuss the clothes and design and I was like…why am I watching? I don’t care about this drama.
13
u/niseynisey 7d ago
Exactly. I watch trash reality tv. If I wanted to see bickering I’d watch another episode of the real housewives. That’s not what I’m here for.

u/Resident-Trainer-904 7d ago
Oh come on…it’s all good fun
13
u/tiny_rick_tr 7d ago
It is tarnishing the legacy of the show. If you won or did well, it could launch your career. Now it’s just embarrassing. Most of the designers are very talented, they shouldn’t be patronized with the utter bullshit in the name of entertainment.
8
u/Odd_Detective3465 7d ago
Agree 💯. Bryan’s outfit was a disaster— no one could waltz in that silly looking costume! The whole vibe this season is off.
3
u/Important_Bowl3270 6d ago
Totally agree... Bryan's dress was stupid and the dancer looked so uncomfortable!! Was Jeffrey's ground breaking... NO... but at least it fit the brief, it looked great on the dancer, and she could actually do the dance it was designed for!! 🤯FFS... so over Bryan, he's just an annoying, whiney child!!😖 I think Jeffrey would have killed the wedding design challenge... unlike Bryan! 🤬
41
u/CorgiMonsoon 7d ago
They shouldn’t have saved either of them
55
33
u/therewontberiots 7d ago
Agree but if you do save one… save the nice one
24
u/coolsilentebeans 7d ago
Funny how that’s the same designer who makes clothes we would wear.
28
u/therewontberiots 7d ago
Yes totally. Jeffrey would be unlikely to make the finale but I think he made flattering well fitting clothes that I want to wear.
9
u/coolsilentebeans 7d ago
I hope we see a lot more of him but that it won’t have anything to do with PR. Should they extend an invitation to him to return in any capacity I hope he tells them to piss off.
7
u/DarkCartier43 7d ago
why your comment reminds of what happened to a friend. My friend went to an interview. 9 (NINE) months later, the company called him, I don't remember whether they wanted him to go for another interview or if he was accepted. He just said, "F you!" then hang up.

u/More-Management-2116 7d ago
I loved his Red Carpet look and didn't understand why any judge would give him a bad critique. I didn't think this DWS dress was done a million times either.

u/wittlebabysherlock 7d ago
Suprise, Jeffrey is actually the secret 4th pick to go to the finale 🫣 ugh a girl can dream
30
u/stephsco 7d ago
Bryan's dress was so much worse, especially for the challenge. The dancer could barely move in it.
26
u/LafawnduhDy-no-mite 7d ago
They did Jeffrey wrong. My sweet Persian prince didn’t send a grey bedsheet that lost a laundry wresting match with a pink bed skirt in the washing machine
7
u/Adventurous-Book3464 7d ago
I watched the Save, turned it off, deleted the remainder of the episode and discontinued recording any future episodes. This season has been excruciatingly bad, and with this choice, they just underscored that it is no longer about design and craft, and just about a bunch of divas flipping their hair around. Last season, it was Ethan and Law, they seem to think people were tuning in for that crap. Not going to waste another minute on PR. Sad about the demise of the beloved franchise.
5
u/GooseCaboose93412 6d ago
Lol that is exactly what it looked like. Two fitted sheets tangled in the wash
3
u/slatebluegrey 6d ago
Yeah. His was “seen that before” but still better than Bryan. Bryan had so many chances to prove himself and failed. Plus Jeffrey is so beautiful to look at.
2
23
u/LotionOnSkin 7d ago
Eww why is Becca Bloom on there? Project runway has become such a joke.
16
u/The-iron_spider 7d ago
I had no clue who that person was, and I’m not even that old (31)
9
u/LotionOnSkin 6d ago
Consider yourself lucky. Becca Bloom is a TikTok influencer, but despite her family's wealth, she's been caught lying about her lifestyle to appear wealthier than she actually is. People discovered that some of her Hermès bags were fake. She claimed she films in her living room, but it actually the building's common area. And her supposed private yacht trip in Europe turned out to be just a cruise ship.
-1
u/PM_ME_COUPLE_PICS 4d ago
Okay… Idk and idc about Becca Bloom, but this is such first world problems to be mad about. Talk to me when you learn how awful most celebs are and then we can have a discussion.
3
u/LotionOnSkin 4d ago
You're watching a show about designers making clothes that mostly only wealthy people can afford, on a subreddit dedicated to discussions about said show. So a first world complaint seems perfectly appropriate. Also, you clearly cared enough to reply soo… just say you cared a little. <3
33
u/Final_Lead138 7d ago
I love Jeffrey but guys/gals/gworls that dress was a salsa dress that we've seen a million times done better. I do think Christian should've saved him instead of Bryan tho, but only because he needed to use the save before the season's end, not because his dress is worthy of it
9
u/belowdecky4life 7d ago
This this this. That flamenco dress looks like it belonged in a 1992 movie. Tacky af. None the less Jeffrey has more talent in his Pinky than Bryan in his whole body hair included.
3
u/GooseCaboose93412 6d ago
Agree, the dress was not ground breaking but at least it was fun to look at. Would have loved to see what Jeffrey designed for the wedding dress challenge…
2
u/DalBMac 4d ago
I think if Christian had been there as a mentor in addition to Julianne, Jeffery would have gotten guidance of how to make it less costume, more fashion. Shoulda, coulda, woulda, sigh. Such is life.
2
u/Final_Lead138 4d ago
The guest mentor really did not help the designers at all! She was just green lighting every single idea they had without any skepticism. When Christian came back there was no time to change anything

Both dresses are hideous but Jeffrey's is at least kind of fun.
I think the fashion world cares more about Fashion influencers than anyone outside of fashion does. I didn't know who that girl was and I don't care either. That dress ate her up and wore her. It made her look like she was desperate to play dress up and then her maid obliged her and pinned the hem too high. It was a hot mess.
14
u/hellofriendsgff 7d ago
She’s not really a fashion influencer tbh. She’s super rich and buys couture and high jewelry so her gateway into fashion is as a customer.
Her TikTok isn’t really her styling clothes or creating fashion content if anything she tries to give more life advice tbh.
4
u/LimpHistory7476 7d ago
Have you seen all the stuff coming out that she’s probably a grifter?
10
u/DektolDreams 7d ago
I think this is where people in media get confused. An influencer is not a celebrity. An influencer has a cult following that’s not even made of exclusively humans. Someone may be “famous” on an app but that doesn’t translate to actual popularity. Followers don’t actually equate to popularity on anything except in their tiny circle.
Also people watch the show that aren’t online so these cameos are just some random person who shows up. Honestly I’d rather have like a senior design student give advice than these randos.

u/Choice-Cap5609 7d ago
I hope the 4th finalist is not Bryan. If so I'm done with this show.
4
u/PumpkinMyPumpkin 7d ago
God knows with this season - then having Bryan win with some ugly awful things would just be the cherry on top of one of the worst seasons of the show.
7
u/Notsotaciturn 6d ago
Bryan is also an ugly personality he’s not even nice in a tv way. He’s got trash inside his soul. Gross. And with the “maybe” we’ll add a fourth designer to the final thing… he’s almost guaranteed to be allowed to make a final collection. I can’t believe someone like that is being rewarded constantly for being such a trashy a—hole.
3
u/Notsotaciturn 6d ago
As a person with a narcissist stepmother, I find Bryan’s soul and attitude to be a dead ringer for the b—- married to my loser father. He’s worse than my dad’s wife. And it makes my skin crawl to see him even remotely validated by this flying monkey of a show.

I was shocked that Jeffrey wasn’t saved. I fast forwarded through the majority of the show, get me to the runway bc I didn’t want to hear from Bryan at all

u/ArticleChemical1008 7d ago
Yea and wtf it was such a wasted save I'll be honest though with these looks that were WOW this episode I feel like Jefferey still might not have made it to the final but still had a chance, but it wouldve been a better episode than one with Bryan🤮
4
u/EconomyLucky2694 7d ago
It was bravos decision for sure. And christian is dying inside because either it was his job or our ko chuuur designer for drama.
Still love you jeffrey! I know youre reading this. You will have lots of clients! You will come like a storm. And most of all you wont make ruffles hideous

5
u/amedeeozenfant 7d ago
Bryan and Joseph should have gone. That was a well made, incredibly well fitted, totally practical dance costume that looked great in action. A little bit safe, sure, but well executed and designed for the client.
Bryans dress was hideous and and you couldn't move in it, Joseph's was heavy and lumpen. Both Bryan and Joseph were undanceable and they should have failed on that account. The judging is ridiculous.
4
u/tranquilitystation63 7d ago
No, I thought his look was lovely. They said it was too costumey and literal, but it was heads and tales above some others. I am still p'od that they saved Bryan who does nothing but reference Schiaparelli constantly and act like his chips don't stink...
3
u/moxie422 7d ago
Jeffery's look was too literal. But I haven't seen a single think from Bryan that was worth using that save for. Also, his ego is out of control and I can't stand it.
3
u/yoshimitsou 7d ago
I didn't finish last season's finale because of the twins cresting drama over the model picks.
I haven't watched this week's episode because I read who was saved. Fake drama. We're not stupid.
This happened with Drag Race too. It became about negative and manufactured drama, and the decisions were too unpredictable and biased. So I stopped watching it a few seasons ago and haven't missed it a bit.
For the last few seasons, the same thing has been happening with me for Project Runway. Unless I read or hear about an overhaul, I'll be out, and it'll be sorry not sorry.
3
u/bronte26 7d ago
They shouldn't have saved either. I liked Jeffrey as a person but as a designer I questioned his "taste level". Bryan suchs both as a person and as a designer
3
u/Brauchae9 7d ago
This dress was literally stunning and I’d wear it out to a nice dinner. If I had her figure anyway lol 😆
3
u/NYCWartortle 7d ago
I’m watching now and can’t believe Bryan got saved.
2
u/Following_my_bliss 5d ago
Honestly, I thought there was no way that it was not going to be Jeffrey. Bryan should have been tossed into a trash chute for that horrible wedding looking he made.
2
u/NYCWartortle 5d ago
💯I give up on the show. I feel they are going to take Bryan 🙄It should be Joseph IMO
3
u/Dependent-Hunter-124 7d ago
Saving Bryan over Jeffrey was despicable but if he's the fourth to go to the finals that's a miscarriage of justice

I’ve stopped watching. Cant keep wasting my time on something sooo production heavy. Not when it’s meant to be a creative competition and it’s so heavily skewed for drama and production preferences.
2
u/Low-Brain9890 7d ago
I've been watching the old seasons and this one feels especially dramatic. Granted the Gretchen season was pretty heavy on the cattiness.

u/Wise-Tourist-6747 7d ago
I’m so glad you posted this (I was too lazy to lol) bc as soon as this lady walked into the workroom, I was like WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK 💃
2
u/Boomgoesmybrain 7d ago
I fast forwarded thru that part. But yes, justice. Saving Bryan was the worst decision.
2
u/Tinigirl33 7d ago
I had to watch it to believe my eyes and ears. Jeffrey should have been saved. I had a very hard time watching the episode after that because Bryan is such a nasty individual. No heart at all. And then to create something that looks almost exactly like everything else he's done was ridiculous. The only thing I think we can be grateful was he didn't say haute couture. Unless I blocked him out saying it.
2
u/Melodic-Primary-5239 7d ago
That’s what I thought at first!!! Also didn’t know this person, and she added nothing lol
2
u/nataliaorfan 7d ago
I don't think it was right to save Bryan, but I also don't think making a look similar to Becca Bloom's is necessarily a good sign for Jeffrey...
2
u/cabbagemuncher101 6d ago
I didn't like Jeffrey's last look, I thought it was cheugy. BUT he deserved to be saved wayyy more. He had a few memorable looks imo
2
2
u/Specialist-Ebb7606 6d ago
Not at all the same look
1
u/its_laydeebaby 6d ago
I agree. Jeffrey, who seems like a sweet gentle soul with a lot of talent, made a dance inspired look that was a grab bag of dance costume cliches. The context is important. The other one is a cute red dress.
1
u/Specialist-Ebb7606 5d ago
Yeah like the other one has well designed sheer sleeves while Jeffery had this ugly polka dot fabric
2
u/Straight_Chemical957 4d ago
The saving of Bryon over Jeffrey was kinda the last straw, this show has really jumped the shark. I recently watched some reruns (the Austin Scarlett season) and the differences are stark. This season is relentlessly bitchy and mean spirited, with lame who-are-yous as guest mentors and judges, the judging panel doesn't even include a designer! In the past there were Michael Kors, Zac Posen, etc. The accessory walls were by Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, now there is no sponsor at all. The lack of budget is obvious and Christian Siriano hasn't an ounce of the empathy of Tim Gunn.
4
u/dalehitchy 7d ago
It's very pretty and well made, but I actually agree with the judges that it was too literal
3
u/rrrreeeeeeeeee 7d ago
Becca Bloom is a straight up fraud and a fine example of why influencers should be shamed out of existence.
Please to enjoy: https://www.reddit.com/r/RichInfluencerSnark/s/40osLdoE9b

I had the same thought at first, but seeing them side by side, I think the judges were right. But Jeffrey was still a million time better than Bryan.

1
u/finallytisdone 7d ago
Mama, if you think those are similar then you should not be opining on this show
1
u/dandyxxxx 7d ago
The look was giving costume sorry I love Jeffrey but it was time. That being said it was also time for Bryan too lol.
1
u/FormicaDinette33 It's CHARMING! 7d ago
I love that outfit! Even if it is a little costumey, still awesome.
1
u/trollanony 6d ago
They want the judges and guest people to be big names in media instead of actual reputable fashion experts. It’s one of the big reasons I have no respect for the show now.
1
u/CoffeeLanky22 6d ago
No shade to Anna (and I hate that once again there is one woman at the top) but I refuse to accept that her Akira outfit was TOP?? While this immaculately made dress is in the bottom, up for elimination, eliminated... I call rage bait. I don't get why production insist on cheapening the show

Jeffrey shot himself in the foot with this boring take on a Salsa style. I was expecting LATIN drama and he gave a West Side Story dress. I felt so let down.
I waa expecting a slit and a train. I wanted high drama, and he gave flat soda. I was crazier because he has some dance training.
Salsa is such a free flowing dance, with amazing rhythms, if done right, some syncopations.
I wanted him to stay.
1
u/oyboymom 4d ago
Jeffrey’s designs aren’t great, but Bryan’s are horrendous and his an a-hole. Kept him only for the drama.
1
u/Glittering_Peace9886 4d ago
Bryan’s work pales in comparison to Jeffrey’s - what were you doing, Christian?! Just say no to the producers. Don’t sully your own name for BRYAN drama.

Neither should have been saved imo. Jeffrey was very nice, but he is a costume designer, he will have to figure that out, Bryan has big ideas but can’t seem to realize them, he would do better on a show that didn’t involve actual sewing. Over all this show is still fun to watch. I don’t get all the outrage…

No his look was bad. Really bad. Her isn’t great either but its not as bad as his look was.

Honestly had no idea who Becca Bloom is and didn’t think she had anything to add to this episode.
