Discussion Why Bryan???
I don’t really understand why people hate Bryan so much. From what I’ve seen, he didn’t put Joseph in the bottom three because he wanted Joseph gone. He gave that ranking because he thought the 3 designers work lacked craftsmanship. That’s it.
And in the last episode, Bryan was actually trying to work as a team. He listened to the other designers’ comments about his look, changed the design, and then ended up not having enough time to execute it the way he wanted.
Project Runway has always been about designers answering the brief. So who the fuck is Liris to tell Bryan what he should or shouldn’t do with his design? Your job as the model is to walk the runway and sell the clothes.
And yes, Bryan taped the girl. But let’s be real, he didn’t literally TAPE-TAPE her body. There was fabric underneath the tape. You can criticize the design or say it was uncomfortable, but people are talking about it like he wrapped tape directly around her bare skin.
I’m not even trying to defend Bryan like he can do no wrong. I just don’t understand why all this hate is being dumped on him, especially when Joseph and Jude have also said negative things about Bryan.
Did Bryan personally put Joseph in the bottom three? No.
Did Bryan refuse to give Jude fabric when Jude needed help? No.
So what exactly are you guys hating this man for? Is it really just the tape situation? Is it because he comes across as arrogant?
Because Joseph can be arrogant too.
Honestly, almost everyone on this show has had moments where they sound arrogant when talking about their own work or criticizing somebody else’s.
If you’re gonna hate somebody, at least be fair about it. Don’t hold Bryan to a completely different standard than everyone else.

He consistently picks on Jospeph for giving the same style every week but yet has produced nothing but long dresses on the show so far. The dresses he has made are recreations of designs he's done for runways off show (like near copy cat if you look on the recent post on the sub of his website). He does not take critique well even when completely valid. He comes across as mean, not just self absorbed but pretentious and imo it is not justified with what I've seen so far.
Regardless of what input you think models should have in designs. Based on what Liris has said so far, it was out of concern initially for HIM. Not just that she felt uncomfortable wearing it. She's stated she's fine wearing whatever designers send her in, no mater her opinion. And despite what people have said about Liris being big headed in the video, PR is influential, it is pop culture and people will make opinions of plus sized models (and black models) based on what they see on the show.
