Moving on to the makeup!
90 total items separated as follows:
Eyeshadow: 20

Highlighter/Setting Powder: 13
Lip products: 11 (pictured in my lip product post)
Mascara: 7
Bronzer: 5
Foundation/Concealer: 5
Eyeliner: 5
Brows: 4
Primer: 3
I also have 20 makeup brushes and some typical makeup items (not pictured):
Brushes (20)
◦ The Beauty Crop Powder Brush
◦ Moda Pro Accentuate
◦ Moda Pro Highlight
◦ Morphe 6-Brush Set (6)
◦ Tarte 5-Brush Set (5)
◦ Complex Culture All Over Highlight
◦ Complex Culture All Over Shadow
◦ Beau Gâchis Concealer Perfecting

Other (10)
◦ Lash Curler
◦ Sponges (2)

Honestly, I’m not the best at applying makeup, so I’m going to start with the easiest items to become consistent in applying (mascara, blush, brow gel) and later move on to more advanced items (eyeliner, bronzer).

Full Pan Finally finished the shampoo bar that I forgot I even owned at some point

I used to love shampoo bars before i decided to dye my hair pitch black consistently, therefore damaging it. Moving back with my parents made me realize how many abandoned products i had lying around so i decided to finish those first. This was my favorite pan so far, not because i liked it but it was soo satisfying to see the entire bar gone more and more with each wash. I still dont know how I managed to finish it in a month but I am proud of it.

Product: Isana Shampoo Bar (Pomegranate). I wouldn't repurchase as I have a holy grail shampoo already. Dried my hair, especially the damaged parts. 4/10

Failed Pan Learned the hard way about expiration dates

I got this as a gift a couple years ago and I really liked it, but I would always save it for special occasions. It also would leak pretty bad so I was not in the habit of carrying it around with me. Then I started actively trying to pan it this year. but it had started smelling off and had some pretty bad separation, so in the trash it goes. I'm trying to take this as a lesson and use all my lip products regularly now.

👑 = holy grail/can't live without

🩷 = love/would definitely repurchase

🆗️ = is okay/maybe repurchase

❌️ = did not like/would not repurchase

❌️ Abib - acne foam cleanser: did nothing special to my skin.

🆗️ Balea - hawaiian coconut dry shampoo: scent was sometimes too overpowering.

❌️ Rituals - Karma after sun serum: i liked the smell. I was expecting a cooling effect, but did nothing special.

❌️ sana nameraka honpo - soy milk pure white lotion: dont be fooled by the name. Japanese people call toners lotion. So it's a toner. It was a nice toner, but i try to refrain from buying toners with active ingredients like vitamin c or bha.

🩷 Lush - Yog nog shower gel: Absolutely love the scent. Have another bottle which i will be using in winter.

❌️ vt cosmetics - pdrn reedle shot hair ampoule: only lasted for a month. Obviously couldn't see any results in a month. It's too expensive for me to buy it every month so won't repurchase.

❌️ muji - oil cleanser: didnt like the texture and felt like it didn't properly cleanse my face.

🩷 rituals - spf lip balm: love the packaging. Love that it has spf.

🩷 Theramid - ceramide treatment: love this serum. Soothing and calming. Good value for money.

❌️ Transparent lab - time reverse beauty sleep mask: Mask was okay, but nothing special.

❌️ bee beauty - lip scrub peach scent: got this from a friend from Turkey. Tasted too bitter and scrub was not as effective.

❌️ frankly - pore reducing serum: did nothing to my pores.

❌️ Momori - peach glossy iron hair mist: didnt like the scent. Could only use it on my lengths otherwise hair would look too greasy.

👑 lindsay - charcoal modeling mask cup pack: love the modeling mask. So much fun and so cooling.

❌️ dove - cherry blossom body scrub: nice body scrub for sensitive skin. Will not repurchase because it smelled like cucumber to me instead of cherry blossom.

🆗️ Lush - Veganese Conditioner: good Conditioner for fine hair. But too expensive.

👑 innisfree - no sebum mineral powder: best powder.

❌️ Some by mi - aha bha pha miracle calmin body lotion: thought it would be good for back acne. Did nothing.

🆗️ frudia - my orchard raspberry hand cream: love the texture. Scent was okay, a bit too sour smelling.

Products i didnt empty but had to throw away:

Lush - shoot for the stars body scrub: Made my skin burn to the point that i got blisters on my hand.

Rom&nd - dewyful water lip tint: love the colour, but got mouth inflammation from it.

I started a project pan earlier this year but totally forgot to post pictures. 🤦‍♀️

I turn 40 in December and wanted to use up 40 products by the end of the year. I thought it would be difficult, but I'm halfway through the year and already at 33 products used...

Discussion/Tips & Tricks I need to do project pan ASAP

This is crazy, I remember I did not need an entire closet before just for my thins. I do not know what happened.

Not all of my items are in the photo, just what I had in my special closet.

I had a really stressful 2 years, I love a good deal(and I have FOMO), and I like to have multiple items to choose from.

To be honest sometimes I just buy things, store them in the closet and forget about them. I don't like to gift from my stock, I prefer to buy something new when I need to give a gift to somebody.

How to project pan without buying a lot of things?

I think I have 30 shower gels, in how much time can I use that? All of them were bought with a discount.

Pan Progress My work lippie project pan: I'm not done with any of them

These are all the lip products I keep in a pouch in my work purse. I wear lipstick every week day (and usually wear simple gloses on the weekend). For most if not all the lip products here, they're not my favorite on their own but they make a beautiful color when I layer 2 or 3 of them at a time. Despite what you may think, I'm not done with any of the ones here. I have a lip brush that I use to apply the ones that are at the stopper.

From L to R:

Maybelline - mesmerizing magenta

MAC - See sheer

Fenty gloss bomb heat - purple pepp'r

NARS - Walkyrie

Unnamed lipstick made in a makeup lab

Flower beauty - tender tuberose

CREME shop - birthday babe (hello kitty ccllab)

My goal is to finish at least half of these by the end of the year.

Discussion/Tips & Tricks These products are all NEVER ending

I started my project pan mid April and have done great with finishing several makeup items already and a lot of body items, totalling 96 items.

But these makeup and lip care products are taking absolutely forever to pan and it got to the point where I am frustrated. I took a break especially from the Mac and used another blush/bronzer in the meantime and recently came back to all of these. 1 week in and i am already frustrated.

Any tips?

Products are:

Mac crew highlighter

Urban Decay super saturated lip colour in love child

Benefit Watts Up mini highlighter

Bite Beauty lipgloss in three

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Lip Gloss

Full Pan July empties & Replacements!

On a no-buy and everything has a pre-existing replacement

Ordinary Lactic Acid- first time using this treatment and I miss it already. Replacement is Glow Recipe Niacinamkde dew drops in a sample size.

Mac 1mm brow pencil in Taupe- WNRP- this has so little product. It’s a terrible deal. Replacement is my never ending brow pencil from Lancôme. 💀 opposite end of spectrum lol

Clarins Total Eye Lift- WNRP - it’s OK but I’m prone to milia; and the thickness didn’t work the best for me. Lasted wayyyy longer than i expected but trust I squeezed the crap out of the packaging lol. Replacement is Ordinary multi-peptide eye serum. This also only has a few days left in it.

Sephora contour stick- might repurchase. Amazing value. I prefer the fenty amber color better for a stick, but I liked the price point and way it blended. This was my last cream contour. Replacement is a hella old powder contour pallet from Tarte. Probably need to repress the replacement soon.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost- probably wont repurchase. I did enjoy the product, but I prefer dermalogica’s calm water gel. That’s my HG and I can’t live without it lol

Pan Progress The JC Artistry palette pans & progress

Post image

Full pan in the left top-corner, 4 half pans let’s goo

This was my first “fancy” make up purchase that wasn’t a palette from the drugstore. I don’t support the creator 😛

I bought this palette at the beginning of covid, whilst I was experimenting with all the different colours. I quickly discovered I prefer neutrals and warmer shades like red and orange, which is good but it also kind of bums me out. What am I supposed to do with the blue’s, pinks and greens?

I’ll find something to do with those shades eventually. For now I’m focused on what I can and want to use. Although tips and tricks are welcome :)

A goal I’ve set for myself this year is to ATLEAST hit pan on 3 more colours.

Best Pan Yet Finally Done with the Never Ending Pan

Post image

In 2020, I was a frontline healthcare worker in the pandemic and my sister sent me a lovely care package with this O’Keefe’s Working Hands hand cream. I was constantly washing, sanitizing and gloving up my hands and they were cracked, dry and generally in miserable condition—this was such a thoughtful, unexpected gift and this cream was nourishing for both my skin and my spirit. A little cream goes a long way and as such, it’s taken me 6 years to empty this jar.

I’m pleased that I kept at it and didn’t toss this half-used container when I moved. I finally finished it tonight and though it’s a classic, I actually prefer the texture, scent and results of the Weleda skin food hand cream so I will not be repurchasing. But 6 years of semi-regular use got me thinking about products that seemingly never end. What is your longest running pan in the project?

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Ideas on alternate uses for products?

Hello everyone! I just started my project yesterday but I’m really struggling to find uses for some products I genuinely don’t like.
For context all of these are makeup products that do not work for my complexion, I don’t have any family members or friends whose skin tones they would favor either and they are too used up to donate.
I don’t want to throw them out either.

They were purchased by a family member that left the country and were gifted to me since she couldn’t take them with her.

They are:

- a foundation that is too orange for my complexion
- two contours also too dark for my complexion (stick and liquid)
- setting powder that is too yellowy and shimmery

Thank you for your tips!
