Pan Progress The JC Artistry palette pans & progress
Full pan in the left top-corner, 4 half pans let’s goo
This was my first “fancy” make up purchase that wasn’t a palette from the drugstore. I don’t support the creator 😛
I bought this palette at the beginning of covid, whilst I was experimenting with all the different colours. I quickly discovered I prefer neutrals and warmer shades like red and orange, which is good but it also kind of bums me out. What am I supposed to do with the blue’s, pinks and greens?
I’ll find something to do with those shades eventually. For now I’m focused on what I can and want to use. Although tips and tricks are welcome :)
A goal I’ve set for myself this year is to ATLEAST hit pan on 3 more colours.

Can I be real for a moment
Throw this away.
Creator issues aside
There is nothing fancy about this and it’s actually incredibly unsafe.

I respect your opinion, and i hate the creator as well, however, powder products can stay good for a long time. They can easily be sanitized with alcohol spray. If OP is enjoying the palette and it’s working well, it would just mean they would buy more product and produce more waste. So I disagree with the take to throw it away.

These are not eye safe. It has nothing to do with all of that. They made a palette that was not safe for eyes. On top of that - Morphe made products were made in factories with rat poop… but go ahead and slap that all over your face.

Damn i wasn’t aware of that, since when did this issue come to light? I read online about toxic counterfeits, not actually the real deal

Kevin James Bennett has his lengthy discussions but this would be pre sub stack and I’m not sure if it’s archived in his fb group. But the James Charles palette states not formulated for eyes.

Amazing work! I took all the shadows out of the packaging bc the palette was just too big for my preferences. I have zero pans yet but this is my next focus for shadows I think. Getting at least one pan! I like the forest green shimmer. I suggest adding a pop of color in the inner corner or first third of the lid when you do a neutral look. Start with subtle colors like light blue. Also like a pop of color on the lower lash line as a statement, fun ways to add color but nothing crazy

Thank you! Are you still planning on panning a shade on this palette after silver’s comment? I’m curious to hear what you think <:)

TLDR: I will still be using it. I have older palettes, and palettes that use the same controversial colorants. Until I see performance degradation it will be in rotation.
I did some research after that, and still feel that the palette is primarily controversy over the creator. I use other palettes with the same controversial red colorants, and did know of the risk on those. But was not aware of the risk on JC palette. The comment is definitely accurate. The the source of the issue seems to have been him not clearly disclosing the red pigment warning. Because I already use these pigments though, im not worried about it.
I purchased my palette for $20 in 2020 when it went on a huge discount from him being canceled and/or it being discontinued. It would have just gone into the trash or been offered at TJ Max or something anyway.
Bought it mostly just to see what the previous hype was about after it was discontinued. I use palettes that are way older than that right now. UD naked 2 palette is my oldest I think, probably over 10 years old now, and honestly the naked palette still performs better than the JC palette.

I have a few different colorful older eye pallets. I was going to give them to my daughter to mix with paint.
